The video provides a comprehensive walkthrough of a daily beauty routine, covering both morning preparation and evening removal. The creator focuses on achieving a fresh, natural makeup look for oily skin and emphasizes a thorough two-step cleansing process at night to maintain skin health.
Today I'm taking you through both sides of my beauty routine,
getting ready in the morning and taking everything off at night.
And we are doing skincare, a little everyday makeup and then my evening routine,
including what I reach for when random people decided to join us, of course.
So my skin gets oily, especially around my nose and cheeks,
but I still want my makeup to look fresh and natural.
First, these little fluffy wristbands,
they keep water from running down my arms while I wash my face.
Let's clip the hair back and now you officially join me for my morning routine.
I'm starting with a low pH good morning gel cleanser.
This has been my routine for years and I try other cleansers,
but somehow I always come back to this one,
if you watched my videos a year ago or even two years ago.
So you probably remember this exact beginning.
I wet my face with warm water and then work the cleanser into a foam
and between my hands before bringing it into my skin.
And the foam feels so soft.
I like to make this first rather than spread the gel straight onto my face.
And one little personal update, I've stopped drying my face with a towel.
Around the same time, I noticed few of those really painful breakouts I used to get.
So my towels were clean, so I can't say for sure what made the difference,
but this has been working for me and I've stuck with it.
Next is the biome hydrating milky toner.
I use this as an extra hydrating layer after cleansing.
You can use it in the morning or evening.
Today it's part of my morning routine, for example.
I pour a little onto my hands and gently press it over my face.
No cotton pad needed.
On my skin, it feels lightweight and absorbs very quickly.
And I get that moisturized feeling without a heavy greasy layer,
which I appreciate because my skin already produced plenty of oil on its own.
Very generous of your opinion.
But if your skin is drier, you might enjoy this as an extra layer underneath your moisturizer.
Before makeup, I always pay attention to how each layer feels.
I give this a moment to settle and then move on.
Now I'm applying the Elemis Pro Color Gen Marine Cream.
And look at this texture.
In the jar, it looks like a fairy rich cream.
But as I spread it over my skin, it feels much lighter.
Almost like it melts into a more watery texture.
I start with a small amount because it spreads farther than I expected.
And then I can add a little more whether I need it.
And I work it gently over my face, including around my nose and along my jaw.
And before the next step, I check how everything is sitting.
Next is skin tint with Espefit.
I actually like having a little tint in my sunscreen for days when I want to keep my base simple.
So I apply it like sunscreen, generously and evenly.
I'm not using one tiny dot and blending it across my whole face like foundation.
I like to layer this.
I sometimes work in a few passes to distribute the full amount evenly.
The important part is applying enough overall and covering every area.
And I keep it separate from my moisturizer rather than mixing the two together.
And let's look at the finish in daylight.
You can still see my freckles and the natural variation in my skin.
Now a little concealer around my eyes.
I definitely have dark circles today.
Although the camera is being surprisingly kind to me today,
I'm using the Tarte Shape Tape Radiant Concealer in color 12N.
As I explained in my concealer tutorial, I start a little lower,
away from the area right underneath my lashes.
And then I blend upward toward the discoloration.
So that way I'm bringing a smaller amount of product into the areas where I tend to get creases.
And I also have a full tutorial with a close-up if you want to see the placement in more detail.
So I'll link it below.
Okay, what's next?
Of course, a little color.
This is the Milk Makeup Lip and Cheek Stick in Rally color.
So it's such a pretty shade,
although it can look a little intimidated in the stick, I know.
But let's start with the lips.
I dab on just a little and blend it with my fingertips.
See?
Once it's blended, it looks so fresh.
And now the cheeks.
I pick up a small amount on the brush first,
and I can control how much goes onto my face.
I start on the outer part of my cheeks and blend it inward using light tapping motions.
No aggressive buffing.
We've just finished the base, and I want to keep it in place.
Over that little bit of lip color, I'm adding the Laneige Lip Serum.
On my lips, it reads as a muted rosy shade.
I love how it looks over, actually, blushes as well.
It doesn't feel sticky to me,
and this little sponge applicator makes it really easy to apply.
No lip liner today, just a little color and shine.
For brows, I'm using the ABH Brow Powder Duo in Taupe.
I start with the tails, using the lighter shade to gently fill in the shape.
And then I soften everything so the brows don't look too drawn on.
Nothing complicated.
This is the kind of makeup I can do without turning my morning into whole production.
And then I use my Benefit Brow Gel.
I brush the hairs upward and slightly outward, roughly at a 45 degree angle.
On my face, that just gives the brows a lifted shape and helps open up the eye area,
especially if you're a hooded eye girl.
And actually, wait, we are getting a little extra use out of this compact.
So I'm taking the darker shade onto my eyelids for that soft definition.
Just a little blending to give the eyes some depth near the outer corners.
And I actually love these smudges, like a little eyeliners.
But not eyeliners, you know what I mean.
And just remember, nothing complicated.
Just apply, smudge, and that's it.
Such a soft blended eyeliners.
And finally, brown mascara.
I'm using YSL Lash Clash in Brown.
I like this shade because it looks softener than just black on me.
But it doesn't pull too red around my eyes.
Some warm browns can make me look like I've been crying.
And this one gives me the definition I want.
And that's the morning makeup.
That's it.
You can still see my skin.
There is a little color in the cheeks.
And everything feels really easy.
And let me show you close up.
So I actually wore this makeup to a work meeting today.
Now I'm home and it's time to take it off.
I love putting makeup on, but by the end of the day,
washing my face feels pretty wonderful too.
First is the LMS Pro Collagen Cleansing Balm.
When I've been wearing makeup and sunscreen,
I like starting with an oil-based cleanser to help break everything down.
I prefer a two-step cleanse on those days.
Helps me feel confident that I'm removing everything thoroughly.
And different formula needs different approaches.
So I wouldn't say everyone needs two cleansers.
Every night, of course.
But this is the method I like for my routine.
So I gently massage the balm over my face following its direction
and taking my time around the areas where I applied makeup.
And this is the satisfying part, actually.
You can actually see the blush and tint breaking down.
Next, this same cleansing gel from this morning.
Love this.
And this is my second cleanse tonight.
It helps wash away any remaining makeup and balm residue.
I lather it between my hands, gently cleanse my face and rise well.
I check around my hairline and jaw too.
Those are easy places to miss when your brain is already asleep
and the rest of you is still standing at the sink.
And now I'm applying from the same brand Essence.
So let me show you this texture up close.
It has that stretchy consistency,
but once I spread it over my skin and let it settle,
it feels much lighter than it looks.
On my skin, it leaves a smooth, hydrated finish without feeling sticky
once it has absorbs.
And actually, once you apply it as well.
So you know that feeling when your skin just feels comfortable, right?
So that's the best way I can describe it.
This morning I used the Bioma toner, milky toner.
And tonight I'm using the Snail Smoothener Essence.
So you can see both in the routine without me layering everything at once.
And then I'm going back to the Elmis Pro Collagen Marine Cream.
The same, by the way, cream as I used in the morning.
And I apply it over the Essence to just finish the routine
and help keep my skin moisturized.
Years ago, a dermatologist encouraged me to follow
my lighter, hydrating product with a moisturizer.
Being consistent with that step made a noticeable difference for me.
So this is the order I've stuck with.
The lighter, hydrating layer first, and then I close it with a cream.
There is one optional extra.
Of course, it's me.
This is something I sometimes use as a targeted overnight step.
It contains zinc oxide and salicylic acid.
And I'm applying just to the blemish.
I dip a fresh cotton swab into the pink sediment at the bottom
and gently dab it onto the spot.
I let it dry and rinse it off in the morning.
With what?
Well, now you'll have to back to the beginning
and watch my morning routine again.
And you will get this answer.
I'll see you in the next video.
Bye!
