MY HORSES SUMMER MORNING ROUTINE

hi guys I'm Harlow welcome back to my youtube channel and today we have a very special guest Lexi and she is coming to stay the night at my yard with her pony Fifi and I I I don't know what popcorn's gonna think I think you know he might be quite excited to see his old girlfriend but yeah we're gonna find her a stable bring popcorn in get the ponies all groomed down and then do a little bit of a Gymkhana. Does that sound good? Right shall we get her out then? Lexi and her pony Fifi have been in a couple other videos she's been in our cross-country one our pub ride one. Three, two, one. Don't let her land on me. This is a lot more spacious in here because you don't have a tight locker. Right shall we go find her a stable and we can you know get her all groomed down. Good girl. Do you want to just like pop them down there? We'll take her front boots off and the stable or you can keep those on because we're going to be riding. Now you've got quite a lot of stable options of where you want to go so we're just going to Fifi's stable for the night. Here it is. You wanna just quickly get the haylage out and there's a water bucket in here in case she doesn't know how to use the water drinker. So we're just taking all of Fifi's haylage because she's got laminitis so we don't want her to have too much sugar. No she did have laminitis and we don't want her to get it again. Yeah in there. Yeah just down Got a nice big bed there. Yeah she's got a water bucket there because I'm assuming she doesn't know how to use the water drinker. Popcorn doesn't either. I'll show you so if we come out like that and then if you're on the inside you like can push it through but then there's like a lock down there. Right shall we go get all of her stuff. Yeah we'll come back for a round two and we can put all of we can we can put the hay net outside her stable and just if that will stay then we can keep it there. We can go and do you want to get your saddle and then we can go and get you a little tack unit cupboard thing. Do you want to have yours down here like it's because it's only a little one saddle rack thing. You can just pop your body protector down there. Just about. Just about to fit. Can you stop trying to bite me please. He's so precious. We're just gonna get popcorn out the fielder but Jacob's kind of in the way. Look how far he has to spread his legs out to eat. He's so fluffy. He's like the same size as Fifi. He'll probably be bigger than Fifi in a couple of weeks. Can we not actually go in the field that way because they're all there. He says look at my cool moves. I'm very impressed. Go to popcorn please. No. He's walking on two feet. Go to popcorn. No don't go to popcorn. He's showing us your dressage moves. There'll be a drink. On the other side. Just maybe because you are quite big. I'm not walking around with the crazy foal. Not too dry around this part is it. Popcorn. Nope. Get away Jacob. Jacob. Do you want to ride him? Do you want to lead him? Okay. His foal looks all a mess now because he's got a fly mask on. He says do you like me? Because I am the coot. Cootie pie. I'm staying. Let me check. I'm trotting. Now when the foals first discover how to trot. Let me check. I'm trotting. Not the food. There's no food. There's food down there. Let them sniff each other through the bars. Not the treats. Fifi. Do you want to get them groomed and ready for the Gymkhana? Popcorn. Right Lexi are you ready? Yep. Right shall we go? Let's go. Now Fifi there is a stallion there. We don't really want any babies this trip. If you're wondering what the cream is on his bum. He's rubbed it under the fence. He was having a little bum wiggle. And then he's decided that he's going to cut his bum. So he's got a little sore on his bum there. Do you see a horse out the side? Can you quickly unroll my stirrup on that side please? Now in case you're wondering I'm also wearing a dressage saddle for Gymkhana. It's just the other saddle. We think his other saddle is a little bit not comfortable for him. So we're going to ride in the dressage saddle and see how he is. Do you want to do a pony swap later on? Yeah. I think that will be quite fun. Have you ever ridden in one of these? Is that a bit scary? In a minute my mum is going to go and get the Gymkhana stuff and set it all up. I think we're going to have it going all across the school and it's going to be quite big so hopefully we've got enough poles to fill it up. So guys our parents have set up the poles and for the first thing that we're going to do is just canter or trot whatever one and we're just going to go in and out of them and for our first proper activity we're going to pick up the flag from the first cone and put it in the cone at the end which is a bit wider because otherwise it would be mission impossible to get the flag into the cone when you're going in trot. Then there's two bean bags at the end. I don't know if you can see them but that's our finish line that we've got to go through. Whoever does it the fastest and probably is the winner. The ponies at the moment do look a bit sleepy so let's hope that they do wake up a little bit. Are you ready? On your marks get set go! Woah we're cantering! Did you come through my finish line? She says extended trot time! Oh my god! Wait should we do this one? Trotting only? So this round is trotting only. If you canter you will have to do a circle. Go! She says wahey! We both cantered. That is impossible. I'm going to take as much time as I need. Oh I got it and I didn't knock the cone over. So guys for the next activity we're going to have two things. We're going to get the cup and put it on the next bending cone. Then we're going to get the bag and put it on the cone. Do you want to get next to popcorn and then do you want to say it? Go! Popcorn's too big! Popcorn from the ground! One stirrup baby! Ow! Popcorn! You never saw that! Popcorn you can't sniff it! Head start! Always go this way! Are you being a sassy man? You need to canter back! Right shall we swap ponies now then? I'm in for a treat! Oh I'll be fine I'm used to this. Popcorn's just like what's going on? It is so easy to mount her from the ground. He's so tall isn't he? She feels so diddy. Your reins are tiny. She's got so little strides. When she does the extended trot. Lisa! If I canter her will she bark? Have you got your whiplex? Oh that's a nice long whip! Definitely going to reach Popcorn. That is 100% going to reach his bum. No thank you! No thanks! She farts and bugs at the same time. She went So now we're back on each other's own ponies and my mum has just set up a little jump and we're going to go over that at the same time. Then after we're going to swap over ponies again and yeah. Do you think we can time this so we go over it at the same time? I think we can do it. Right. What do you want to do? I'll trot it to start with. Can I have that whip for a second? Because he's being really lazy. I don't mind. Oh is that nice? Is that nice Fifi? Her face is literally just there and she's so small. Her neck is so much more tinier than Popcorn's. And your little fluffy ears. We're going to do some jumping on each other's ponies now at the same time. I need to go the other side don't I? Oh my goodness that was so much fun. I can't believe we got them to jump at the exact same time. I know. We can give her a nice bath and we can use conditioner and shampoo. Get her looking all sparkly. Yes! If you're wondering what Bully Protector I'm wearing, I'm wearing the new Charles Owens Shadow. And it's very supportive on the back. It's really comfortable. It's not suitable for cross country though. But it's just good for like when you're in the school show jumping. Or if you're going to like a little show. It's good to just have under your jacket. If you go to a show wearing this it will be completely hidden underneath your jacket. So it's really good for competitions. Should we go back in now? Okay. Well at least Fifi. Yeah there's Bob. Popcorn spotted his dinner. So we just put Fifi in her stable. And we didn't actually have time to bath the ponies because it is actually quite late. We're going to do that all tomorrow. Get them all looking nice and shiny. And we're just putting Fifi's night time hay in there. So she doesn't run out of hay. Oh Fifi! If you're wondering they've both had a little hose off now. So she's nice and ready for her sleepover. She's got some midnight snacks. She's got her water over there. And then she's got her hay nets over here. I don't think she knows how to use the water automatic water drinker. Neither does Popcorn and he's been here for months now. And he doesn't exactly know how to use it. She's got her dinner now. We've fed Popcorn. Do you want to quickly wet it? You can! OK. Just going to go see Popcorn now and make sure he's all settled in. Need to make sure we lock this table because there's Sally in right opposite Fifi. Goodnight! I don't think she'll be able to escape because well A. She can't get her head over the bars like Popcorn and then B. I don't think she will be able to reach this. Shall we just take this to the feed room then we can go check on Popcorn. Make sure they're all ready then we can go put all of the Gymkhana stuff away. Then shall we just pop this down here. Time to just check on Popcorn. I see the fluffies! Oh nice! Oh you've wafted that down haven't you? They were actually really good today weren't they? Fifi did a little excitement box. But no one fell off. Yeah. And I think at the end it was quite nice when we did a little bit of jumping. Oh Popcorn you've got breakfast all over your leg! Oh oh oh oh he says do you want some more on there? Wow Popcorn! Didn't know your neck could arch that much to get down to that spot. I think we need a bath in the morning. Right goodnight! Oh also I don't know if you've seen but in the last video did we film it? We put this granola thing up and Popcorn has kind of demolished it. It's gone a little bit more soft and moist now. It did last so normally he bites them but not on his door. He's got it all over his door. This all needs cleaning. This all needs cleaning. I think tomorrow we're going to get a sponge. So guys tomorrow we're going on a hike with my mum. She's borrowing a horse off a friend. And me and Lexi are going to be riding our ponies and that's going to be very exciting. So I don't actually know what to expect. My mum's usually on foot so now we're just going to be able to all walk together. Now she's going to be on a horse. I'm not sure tomorrow. Should we GoPro it?
