Hello and welcome to the 2019 Majestic presented by the MFA and Airborne. This is Ben Kroll.
This is Noah Meintzma here with you guys. And we're here with the feature card. We've got a
good feature card here for you guys. Excited to be here on Par Save. Always nice being here at
Blue Ribbon Pines in East Bethel, Minnesota. I think no one knows what I'm talking about.
Oh yeah, definitely the gem of Minnesota. Too much work goes into here. Ray Jordan and staff
there, the Jordan family does such a great job making this place look amazing. And this year
it's been even more green than it's ever been. Lines are looking amazing. I would agree. We've
had a lot of water, a lot of sun. This is hole one here, 340 feet. Just got to throw the disc
straight. I usually like to just kind of flip one up and let it fade back out the hole. There's a
few guardian trees on the right where the short basket is. Yeah, really good start to your day.
It's a nice fairway driver, maybe a mid-range with the tailwind we were seeing. It was playing
a little shorter today, but definitely still a good get and a great way to start your day.
And that was Greg Barsby, reigning world champ. And here we got Kevin Jones. Yeah,
one of the hottest players on tour, definitely. Kevin Jones making a huge name for himself the
last few years on tour. Those are a couple solid shots there. Kevin just going a little long.
Yeah, Kevin crushing the M2 there. And then we got Noah here himself. I'm going with a T-bird,
kind of forcing it over a little bit, getting it into the tailwind, coming out a little bit, but
not too bad. Yeah, that left side there coming into the green can get a little hairy, but it's
cleaned out a little bit from what it's been in the past. Now we got Alex Russell here. He was
the 2018 Minnesota Majestic champion, so reigning champ here. And everyone's putting. Alex a little
guarded here, but he's pretty solid. Yeah, dropping to the knee from probably circle two,
circle one's edge. Yeah, wow. Great way to start your day. Yeah, I'd take that to start.
I'd say most people would probably throw in a fairway driver on this hole. Yeah, I would agree.
Maybe the tailwind you could see mids, but mostly fairways. Noah looks like he's got a tough putt.
Yeah, I had a little bit more of a window than you may have seen on camera, but definitely good
one to start the day with. And Kevin coming back, he's probably circle two. He's 40 feet,
45 feet into a headwind now where we're all putting tailwind. And yeah, the headwind just
barely gets him. Yeah, I just love how committed he is on that putt though. Yeah, one of the best
jumpers, if not the best jumper player on tour. He can really be aggressive into these prodigy
T1s, I believe, or T2s. They're a really solid basket. Yeah, I think these are the T2s. T2s,
yeah. So a little cleaned up from the T1, but a really good catching device. Greg there just
tapped in his birdie from about 12 feet. So three birdies and a par, not a bad start here for the
feature card. Yeah, and we had a huge crowd out. It was super awesome to see all the locals come
out and support everyone watching the reigning world champ, the previous Majestic champ,
myself and Kevin Jones. So it's a great time. Yeah, we had really good weather. It was supposed
to rain all week. We were looking at it and somehow it stayed away both days. It was awesome.
Yeah, Disc Golf God's working in our favor there. So this is hole two. Normally it'd be split into
two holes. Here you can see where the normal basket would be. We're playing them combined
though. You have to kind of serpentine through this fairway. I think it's just a little over 400
feet. I've seen people get up there for a putt, but I don't think anyone's really going to be
playing for that. It's played as a par four, kind of a placement shot off the tee. Yeah,
it's a really good two shot hole. It's definitely one where you want to get the disc to move left
to right and then back right to left for the second shot. And inside those rocks right there
is OB. It's kind of hard to get two off the tee, but you can get a bad kick here and there and
not fun to get an OB when you're playing in the woods.
Yeah, that's a good spot to be. It's kind of a nice little hyzer, touch hyzer from there.
I was happy with that for sure. Alex coming with the Firebird, just barely missing the line,
but getting punished pretty brutally. This is definitely want to stay off those two guardians,
really punishes the shot. Kevin, I think he's throwing a D1 here. This is his go-to lavender
one. He's throwing all over the place. And it looked like he might have hit a tree as well.
Yeah, he did hit the right side guardian, but he squared it so he still has a chance to save
his birdie three, where Alex is going to be very pinched here. He's just got to lay up.
Yeah, so you can see that stump that Alex was playing right next to between those two poles,
pretty much. That tree fell down and Ray said, well, I got to put an extra one up this time.
Yeah. Had to put two of them instead of one. Yeah, Ray's awesome. If there's anything,
anything falls down the course, he just takes a bobcat and shoves it back in the ground.
That was a great shot from where Kevin was laying there.
Yeah, that was an amazing flex line through a very small gap.
Yeah, it's a lot easier when you're in Noah's position here. It's more of a touch hyzer where
Kevin really had to flex one in there. Yeah, I'm leaving it a little short,
not super stoked about it, but I'll putt for sure.
Yeah, you're putting. It's a good hole to be putting for birdie on.
Yeah, Alex is really pinched here still and he's on his third now, but he's got an opportunity.
He's going to go, looks like a roller line. He snags one last tree and he's going to send
him back in the rough. Yeah, everything left short of the basket is really tough.
Yeah, it's interesting. Greg decided to go with the flick kind of to hit the fairway a little
better, but it's definitely a touchy line. It's just one of those one or two big trees
there. You got a beat coming into the green and Greg just happened to hit one of them.
Yeah, Alex is still so pinched here, but it looks like he's going to find a way up to the green.
He's going to have a putt for his bogey. Yeah, there's some OB really far into those woods
there, but it can be tricky getting it up and down. Greg from probably 40-ish. Oh yeah,
super good putt, really committed to that one up and down. Yeah, pit it center and these baskets
are going to catch that. Yeah, similar spot to where Greg was, just had to pop it over a tree
kind of in your way. Yeah, we got Kevin here for an amazing birdie save. Yeah, no problem.
That's awesome. Way to get it back after missing hole one. Yeah, it's a good start there.
So I'm going to tap in my par and it looks like Alex is going to line up his bogey putt.
No problem. Yeah, these first few holes, there's some par fours in here that are
just kind of tough to get and you want to get through these par fours without getting too much
in trouble. And Greg is just pure. Yeah, these par fours we're about to get into,
they're not very long, but they're super demanding on placement. As soon as you get
off the fairway, they become extremely difficult and your scrambling game really starts to come
into play. So here we got the signature hole in probably all of Minnesota, if not the Midwest.
I would agree. We're playing this is hole three, 444 feet. Normally it's hole four
and it's straight tunnel. Well, you got about 10, 12 feet fairway the whole way,
slight valley in the middle, but not much. It'll be on the left as well. Yeah, it'll be on the far
left if you get outside. There's kind of an extra fairway out to that left too. So some players
play out to that if they get into too much trouble. Yeah, definitely. You can have more
of a sidearm approach then from the left fairway, but obviously the idea would be mid putt or mid
up the middle, maybe a fairway driver if you're getting greedy. I myself throw a fairway driver
just because I feel like I can keep it in the fairway a little bit longer, but I see everything
from a putter all the way up to a high speed even. Oh yeah, Kevin's going, I think that's
on two or three again, right down the middle, keeping it low. That's a really good advice on
this hole is keeping it low to avoid your kicks. That's all it takes right there. He's going to
have a fairly simple upshot. Still got to throw that 10 foot gap, another 250 or more. Yeah,
definitely not too happy with that one, but hole four strikes again. Yeah, it doesn't take much on
this hole. You see everybody hitting these early trees from now on again, no matter how good of a
player you are. Yeah, Alex had to go forehand. Surprisingly it just takes a rough kick at the
end there. Some kind of pinched on the left side here. I'm going to try to throw a straight forehand
which is definitely a little difficult to execute. Not quite getting the flip up I needed.
Yeah, those lies right off the fairway there, they're kind of tough. You got to make a decision
if you want to go forward or just try to lay up and get in the middle of the fairway or not.
So Alex is going max roller, but just snags the last one you really need to beat to get it down.
Now he's going to be throwing again here, the rock from the patent pending stance.
Really difficult. This hole puts you in so many tricky spots. He's got a little work to do here.
Oh, not quite falling through. That one's actually going to kick out of bounds,
unfortunately. Really making this hole hard, yeah, especially on the third already.
Barsby's off to the right side here, but he squares one too. Back to the forehand from the
knee. Kind of like the other one, didn't quite get the turnover I needed, but should be able
to save bogey at least. Kevin's finally up now. He's going to be chucking an easy approach up
there for his birdie. Yeah, and that's just textbook there from Kevin. Yeah, if you're
staying in the middle, this hole really can be pretty easy, but as soon as you get off, it's
just all the difficulty. Now Greg's going to have to go with some type of roller, I think with an
eagle. And again, we have that OB to the left, so Greg's got to be very careful with this shot.
Wow, that was awesome. Yeah, that ain't too bad. He's going to be having a jump putt there,
we all know Greg likes jump putter. So we got Alex here with the pig, trying to save his,
he's throwing for five, so he's got to putt for his double now. He fought through a little there
to get up and down, but it should be an easy tap in. Yeah, I tried to give it a long bid,
but I'm taking all the trees with me along the way. But sort of an easy cleanup for bogey at
least, which happens on this one. Greg's got a par save putt here now. Oh, definitely committed
to it, but just didn't fall. He didn't like that, you could tell with his hand, but he gave it a
chance. He's not afraid of these cleanups. Definitely a little stickier out here today
too. It's kind of a hot, humid day for Minnesota. It's a good cleanup. Everybody else should be
tapping in here. There you go Noah, solid right on the pipe. So after Kevin missing hole one,
he's now got two and three to take the lead on the card. Those are two good birdies to go
back to back on, that's for sure. Yeah, these par fours are very demanding. And I'd say this
next one coming up here is probably the toughest of them even still. Yeah, I would agree with that.
I think the gauntlet starts with this hole being hole three. I like Noah's follow flight path
there, sorry. Yeah, that was quite a cool shape I got going on there. Yeah, par save doing it up
with those graphics. Yeah, that's awesome. Yeah, so as we just talked about, this is hole four.
Very treacherous. Again, this is two holes combined. This is normally where the short
basket is. You want to get your disc just turned in slightly right. You don't want to go too far.
I've seen people go OB. This open area here is all OB. You can see the white stakes around,
and then you got to go over that OB to get into the green. There's a lane out to the right when
you get up halfway to the fairway, but you got to be pretty lined up to go through that right lane
and not challenge the OB. Yeah, Kevin's just lacing that mid again. Doing a great job. You
can go turn over down that gap. It's a little tighter. I think the forehand is a little bit
easier for consistency because it's hyzering down to the right side where you want to land,
but it's easy to saw it off and get into a bad spot as well. Yeah, there's OB the whole way left
of this fairway, and if you go too far along, straight as well. So you really want your disc
going right. You just can't get going too early though. Yeah, I try to punch my disc through the
backside left when it fades really hard. Right next to Kevin. Those are two really good spots.
They'll be able to attack the green from there. Alex is going with his trusty champ boss.
Popping it up. It's getting a little too much glide straight, but... Yeah, it's almost testing
the OB there. Yeah, he's pretty close to out of bounds. He's going to have a difficult stance in
there. Yeah, the further you get there, the more trees there are. Trying to get over that OB into
the green. And Greg's playing a little further out than where Kevin and Noah are, but he's still
kind of got a line. He's an aggressive player. Yeah, I think he'll be going for this, but it's,
you know, most players would think about laying this up just because the out of bounds is coming
into play so heavily on the shot, but he hits a tree, doesn't even get to test it, so... Yeah,
hopefully he can get up and down from there. There's definitely a few trees, and it's not as
easy as it looks. Yeah, Alex is just buried here. It looks like he's just pitching up to the landing
zone to approach for his par. Yeah, and right in front of Kevin's lie, you can see where the normal
tee shot is. Yeah, Kevin threw this absolutely perfectly, almost skipping in for either.
That was his D1 again. I'm going to have a similar shot to Kevin. I have a little bit more
awkward stance going over this log and around the tree, but... Making it work... Until the last
guardian has snagged and kicked me out of bounds, but at least I'll take the lie on the green to
circle 2 putt. Yeah, you'll have a chance still to hit your par putt.
Now, that's what makes this shot very dangerous. Those little b-stakes are right next to those
trees, and if you kick one and kick straight back... You're always going out of bounds. Yeah.
Oh, Alex threw a good approach, actually getting by clean to about a circle's edge putt for par now.
So yeah, I'm probably about 60 feet here or so, 55 maybe, for my par save. Just left side,
not by much. Greg here for his par, probably circle's edge as well.
It's close just off the nubs. Now we got Alex for par here. Someone's got to get one to go in.
Yeah, BRP can be a lot of scramble golf. There's a lot of 25 foot putts in a day. Yeah. Especially
at the 27 hole round. Yeah. Alex having a tough time convert as well, so those three will be
tapping in for their bogeys, and here's Kevin. Kevin just getting all the strokes early.
Making this course look easy right now. Those are the three very tough birdies he just got to throw.
Just filleting the tee shots on the par fours, making the approaches easy, making his putts.
As I said before, these guys are all tapping in their bogeys, which isn't too bad. This hole can
get out of control pretty quick. Yeah, if you're staying to single bogey at, you know, any woody
courses, this is doable. You can come back then. That's a nice sandstone shot there. Yeah, a little
crazy form going on there, getting around the tree branch.
So Kevin now has that three down. Everyone else is over par here, or at par. Got to pick it up a
little bit, but this is definitely a chance to do it. This is the most gettable of the par fours
in the stretch of the gauntlet, I would say. You can throw anything from a putter to a fairway
driver off the tee, and then, you know, putter or fairway driver of the upshot, whatever your
most comfortable straight disc again is, hitting gaps. What do you throw off the tee on this one,
Ben? I usually go mid. Fairway driver, you're putting that pond into play a little bit. That's
true. But you just got to keep it straight. There's a couple trees to beat once you get down
here. You see Kevin kind of heading at him right now. Yeah, he just made the middle gap there. He
went right through him. If you hit any of those trees, it can make that upshot a little tougher,
but he'll have a wide open shot into the basket now. So that looks like a PA2 by Kevin,
now Greg's going eagle. Looks like he's soft in it though. You can see Greg took like a two-step.
Yeah, really just making sure he's hitting the line. I see a lot of people just throw putter
even too, just keep it straight. Oh yeah, I'm going nova here. Nice and high. A lot of highs
are letting it flip up and ride. It's getting through a pretty small gap. Sliding down the
tee pad, that's going to be in a great spot. Wow, that was close. Yeah, being on that tee pad is a
pretty good shot. That gives you a chance to get into that green. Yeah, playing all the glide out
of that one. Alex going with a low rock three, just tagging the last guardian on the fairway, but
he's going to have a chance to save his birdie. It's out of position, but
that thing comes out, he's got a chance. Yeah, flexing a long driver, but long attempt for a
birdie there. Yeah, it should be a fairly easy up and down for his par. Not getting in too much
trouble at least. And Kevin from pretty much an ideal spot. Oh yeah. I wish I could tell you what
he's throwing, but I can't. Pretty sure, yeah, it's M2 again I want to say. Maybe M3, you know
signature disc is M3. Yeah, this green is a tough entry. There's definitely a few trees scattered
around, a couple finite lines you got to hit. Yeah, Greg's playing a little bit more on the
fairway, but that actually opens up a pretty good line. Yeah, that's looking good. Yeah. Yeah,
I think you're right with that hyzer line coming in from where he was. Yeah, Noah's kind of got
this tee pad in his way. Makes the upshot a little tricky. Yeah, I'm getting my rock turning over a
little bit, but it's getting through. Oh yeah, that'll putt. Alex probably edge of circle too,
maybe 80 feet here. Doesn't have much. Huge jumper. Oh, super close. Really nice bid. Just
beat up KC. Yeah, he's a very aggressive player going for that one I feel like. Yeah, he's
definitely one of the better putters on tour. He's been making a big name for himself this
year. A lot of big finishes. Oh, Kevin wanted it too. He was committed on that shot. Yeah,
Kevin's jumper again, looking super crisp. So I got a pretty... About 20 feet here. Yeah.
Yeah, just didn't quite leave it up over the nubs and got pushed out by the chains, but
I know you got to make these up high, so just got to correct on the next one.
Yeah, putting's always a tricky game. No doubt. Here's Greg from about 15, 16 feet.
No problem for Greg. Going to get the only birdie on the card, which you'd think you'd see a few
more, but you know, no one's going to take any bogeys, so everyone should be cleaning up par. Not
too bad. Yeah, I think my card had a couple birdies, a couple pars. You don't see a ton of big numbers
on this hole. There's not as much trouble to get into as the last couple holes we played. I agree.
Sometimes I see the next hole, that's a par three, played tougher than this hole. Oh yeah, we're
about to get into, I call it almost like a mini hole four. It's one you want to get for a two on,
but definitely you can get a five on it just as easily. It's pretty much lining up your favorite
straight fairway driver, maybe, you know, anywhere from speed six to ten for the pro arm speed. Maybe
even a mid-range if you're Kevin, but I think you'd still be going with the fairway. 370 feet,
slightly uphill at the end. Yeah, this is a tough shot. You want to keep it straight,
but you don't want to finish right. If you finish right, it can be a lot of trouble.
Obviously left early can be a lot of trouble as well too. You just want that pushing flat
shot that just fades a little at the end. Some people are throwing fairway drivers,
some people might be throwing high-speed drivers. Yeah, I think Greg's going with his signature
roadrunner. One of his earlier ones, he said it was a little bit more of an overstable run.
Again, he's with that two-step run up, trying to hit his line.
He was getting kicked, but he got kicked back into the fairway, so that'll be easier up and
down for par. Could have been a lot worse. At BRP, you're always going to hit a tree at
some point in your round, so you're just hoping that you get the good side of that tree. Oh,
yeah. Yeah, Kevin missed that right tree line by about two inches, and he's going to slide
all the way up there for a jumper. Is he throwing that M2 again? I think that is a mid-range, yeah.
Wow. M2 or 3. That's not easy to do. Yeah, he's got so much power. I'm going T-Bird 3,
a little beat-in one, but I was really happy with this release. Yeah, he had a good height,
pushing flat, and he's going to give himself a putt. It'll probably be about 26 feet,
maybe have the tree in his way, hopefully not. Yeah, we've got some fun stuff to deal with,
but it'll be fun. Alex is ripping out, I believe, a Wraith. Really nice flight. It's going to be
a similar spot to me. Yeah, looks like he just got a little straighter. Yeah, he got to flip a
little more, but the speed of the disc came out at the end. This is one of those holes that's
always tough to park it. You can give yourself 25, 30 feet, but it's always tough to get inside
a 10. Craig's going with his trusty old KC from DeLa. This thing's had a few throw-ins in its day.
Going for one there, but that'll be good. Easy par, at least. Yeah, I like the mulching here,
with the tan-red, tan-red. Yeah, they do a really good job. This looks sweet,
and the tiered green makes for some interesting shots. Oh, Kevin just barely leaving that jumper
high. A couple times now he's hit that band. Yeah, dialing it in. Yeah, so I have to pop another
putt up over a branch, but it's very doable here. Just going for back-to-back bands. There we go.
Alex is going to get a stroke on the car. It's a really good birdie. Definitely a feel-good par
three to get this one. One of the, for sure, tweener par threes on the course. Yeah, I would
call it a bonus birdie, for sure. I think BRP was, I think I say this every year, but it was looking
as nice as it ever has. Oh yeah, crazy. Ray's committed to making this course as good as it
can be, and continues to improve on it every year. My fault, Ray. Crowd kind of talking about
Greg putting into them there, but he's got that all day. Yeah, we could hear the crowd getting
into it all over the course. It was pretty cool to hear and see how many people were there.
It's crazy. They were super excited. It was awesome to have such a big following out there
for the lead card, for the feature card. So we've got hole seven here coming up. This is 155 feet.
It's one of those holes that just kind of frustrates you when you don't get it. Right,
it's got a little controversy to it. It's very tough. You'll see anything from a jump putt to
a standstill to a hyzer to an overhand. I think I've seen it all. Yeah, after a while, people play
this hole so many times they just find other ways to throw it after a while instead of just
straight putter. But you know, jump putt is pretty common for most touring pros. And about 35
feet or so behind the basket is OB. So if you run it hard, trying to go for that ace,
there's a good chance you're going to go OB. I didn't get this hole either round. Oh no. Yeah,
this is one you want to get, but you still got to hit the gap just like all the holes here at BRP.
Oh, Greg just barely squaring the main guardian. That's the one you want to push though. You want
that middle tree. You don't want to hit one of these early ones. Kevin's going to go for a running
jump putt it looks like here. Kind of a tricky shot, honestly. Yeah, I would agree with that.
But no problem. Nice little slide up. Just the way he planned it. Yeah, I don't really like the
jump putt as much. I could just go with the standstill like a little toss, but playing the
left side. Yeah, nice touch. Nice touch. That's a good shot there from Noah. It's definitely not
out of Greg's range. Not at all. Definitely outside of circle two. Just, you know, leaving
it up again. It's not a bad miss. It's a frustrating miss, but it's not a bad one.
Giving it a chance at least. Here's Alex from about 22 feet. That's a good stroke. Yeah,
confident stroke. Gets you feeling good on the round. Yeah, finally he's got a couple birdies
going now. Getting on track. Let's see the savage sign back there. Savage seven hole.
Greg here to clean up his par. Yeah, just looked like it pushed out right there. Yeah,
just a little too flat and high on the right side. Those ones don't really want to
fall on the T2s. You got to keep them very hyzered on if you're up high on the right side.
Yeah, you really got to hit them center. These things catch center. Yep, they reward the perfect
putt for sure. Greg's gonna tap in a frustrating four. Yeah, that's a bummer, but we'll definitely
bounce back. 27 holes, plenty of golf. Kevin and Noah tapping in their twos. Big jumper here.
So Kevin here kind of breaking out to a little bit of an early lead. He's at four down. We're all
even par one up by Alex here. Yeah, Greg falling back to even. Noah getting back to even.
And this is one of those holes that stirs a little controversy every year, but Ray loves it
and it's Ray's course, so deal with it. Yeah, so this one is crazy. You kind of have to avoid this
first mando tree to the right and you throw crazy dogleg only 160 feet. And with the tailwind that
we had today, it was so hard not to push your disc long. Yeah, and you'll hear a lot of people
just say, oh, just jump putt off the tee box. You'll give yourself an easy three, but it's still
not an easy three. Yeah, just jump putting off the tee. You still got to be in a perfect line
and hit the perfect shot. I don't know if there could be 160 foot par four, but if there could,
this maybe could be one of them because you don't see a lot of twos. It almost plays as an eagle
and no one's too disappointed with the three. I can hear that wind this day. Died down at some
points in the round. Yeah, it was kind of weird how it would pick up and kind of go away. Yeah,
Kevin happened to hit the only guy sitting out in the fairway. Shaking my head. He up something
from there. Going with the trusty Nova again, but hit my gap I wanted. There's a million trees to
hit, so bounce back to a really hard up and down. Yeah, you can get some tricky lines on this hole
if you don't stay in the fairway, especially if you're early right. I'm not sure what Greg
threw there. It looked like a mid of some sort of champion plastic putter. Yeah, it looks like
he's right by the short basket, which is not a bad spot. Very easy up and down. He might even
have a run at it. Yeah, I agree. Here's kind of if you just jump putted exactly where you'd have to
land. Yeah, Alex just kind of taking his minutes and taking the easy three on this hole. Yeah, he's
still gonna have a tester putt though. He looks like he's edge of the circle. I'm throwing a
firebird on like a knife angle here. And that's a great up and down. Yeah, I was super happy with
that one. Here's Greg. He'll probably run it from here. He likes these. Oof, just barely hanging it
out right. Might be a little tricky putt there to save his par, but I think he's good for it.
Yeah, this basket's very guarded by these four guardian trees. Yeah, I found myself having a
tough comeback putt for par. And Kevin somehow makes that through. That is the thickest part
of the fairway. The rough, so getting back into the fairway. Alex is gonna tap in par.
Everyone else looks like they're gonna try to follow suit. Kevin's probably about the same
distance that Alex just had. Straddle out around these guardian trees. These couple trees are
trickier than they look. Greg as well hitting his par putt. And it looks like just a card full of threes.
Yep. Which is not bad. Oh, that's a cool shot. Everyone looking up at it. Yeah, that is awesome.
Four down, even, even, one up. Kevin looking good through eight holes. Yeah, playing phenomenal.
Yeah, these are kind of the tougher stretch I would say. For sure. This is another tough one.
This is definitely one of the harder holes in the front nine. Yeah, par four. If you fade out a
little bit on the tee shot here and you're throwing like a fairway driver or a hard mid,
you can go be left right about here. Keep it in the fairway. You got one more pond to beat.
Yeah. And it's not easy. Yeah, no doubt a couple of ponds in your way. Very tight hallway shot
again. The forehand plays the best for the fairway. Backhand could definitely work, but we
had such a strong right to left right now that it would just push the forehand straight. It was
a really good win for it. Alex just absolutely crushing the champion boss. This is so good.
What you want to do. He might've tucked himself a little on the right, but he should be fine with
how far you get up the fairway with that shot. I would agree. Kevin's going with the trusty
lavender D1 again. Or no, maybe this one is just an older, different D1. I think this is an older
D1 that's beaten a little. I've seen him throw it on other videos. Oh yeah, he's getting a nice flex.
Oh wow. Missing the crowd, staying in bounds. That's awesome. Yeah, he had a pretty good shot
from there too. Yeah, he's going to have more of a straighter approach rather than the forehand
hyzer where Alex might have. I'm going with my ex-cal here trying to fight the right to left.
Getting it through the right gap. Skipping it all the way back.
Oh, Greg just barely missing the right side, but that's definitely spots I miss with the forehand.
Without a bounds on the right side really comes into play if you miss on the left side of the
fairway. Yeah, Greg seems to be just a little off here to start. I would agree. He's going to
definitely be looking to get some strokes here in the next few holes. He knows he's got some
making up to do. And Noah. Oh, just kicked the last branch into the pond. Oh, it did go in,
just trickled in. Yeah, it just kicked in the water there, but at least I'll have another
55-60 footer for a par save. And you'll see some people lay up from where Noah was, but
if I'm in the fairway, I actually want something to take home. Kevin throwing a beautiful textbook
shot there. That looked like even like a PA2 maybe. Touched forehand with the PA2, I bet that was.
That was awesome. Alex, he's going with the KC Pro down this tight gap. He's not even going for
the hyzer line. Keeping the disc. That's a good spot to aim for, that log. I would agree. He's
playing the backstop of the log a little. Yeah, sometimes if you're, I'm usually trying to run
this hole a little bit because I don't want to be in that pond, so I end up like 30 feet past.
Yeah, that is definitely a good play. Make sure you're safe on the safe side. Yeah,
but not too far of a putt either with this pond right behind the basket. Greg's giving it a run.
He wanted it. It's going to be right there for par. And this is a makeable putt here for Noah,
probably just outside of circle two. Yeah, gave it the height, but that's a good little stump,
kept him close. Alex is going to get another bird here. I think that's three in a row for him.
Yeah, he made that hole look really good. I'm going to tap in my bow gear.
And the shack right behind the basket here is the snack shack. That's Angie's spot. She's always
there. Razzy folks out there, making sure everyone's fed and having a good time. Yeah,
they got some fryers. I just upgraded the kitchen and everything last year and they've got everything
there, the full bar. Oh yeah, cheese curds. Come on, guys. You can't beat cheese curds.
It's kind of a hangout spot. A lot of people will just hang out there. They got a spot to
chill and watch a few of the holes. Oh yeah, and if you get an ace in front of Angie,
free shots for your card. Everyone knows that. So everyone has a great time always at BRP. You can
order your food too. A couple holes before and then when you get to your next time you're at
the snack shack, it'll be ready for you. Well, thank you guys for joining us on the front nine
there. Kevin looks like he shot a 27 there to take the card. Tied for first. Looks like I need
his stats. Noah with a 33, Alex with a 32, and Greg with a 32. It's been fun, guys. Hope you
join us on the second nine here, the middle nine coming up next.
