Le Fée Penalty Secures European Win | Sunderland AFC 1 - 0 AZ Alkmaar | Europa League Highlights

Does well for Fafana, laid off again by Siddiqui. Now Danso from distance, forcing the goalkeeper into a very good save. What a whipped, wicked, beautiful effort that was from Kevin Danso. Oh, that's a great touch by Isidore, can he pick out Lefebvre? He can! And Lefebvre's effort strikes the uprights, that is the closest we've come. And Sunderland again, it'll be picked up by Trey Hulme, the feet of the goalkeeper deny him, and Mukele sees his effort blocked by Koopmeiners. The cross for Pertotti, and good work from Fafana to win possession back for Sunderland, and send Siddiqui on his way. Siddiqui's got Lefebvre to his left, Isidore's inside the penalty area, Lefebvre might go alone, oh, he's fouled, it's surely a penalty! It has to be a spot-kick, it is. It's a big moment for Sunderland, it's Enzo Lefebvre brought down. Well, what a big moment for Enzo Lefebvre, who scores for Sunderland. The first Sunderland player to score a European goal in 53 years. It's a landmark night at the Stadium of Light. It could well be THE night to remember. Real redemption for Enzo Lefebvre. Miguel Odoi tricking his way and bringing in the Mexican, Chavez, who cuts it back, and it's a shot on goal. Fiscoff, his initial effort blocked, what a save from Robin Roos. To preserve Sunderland's lead, what a super stop that was. And Brian Brobby escapes, and Brian Brobby is clear, he's got support with Lefebvre, he'll go alone, all the way. Brian Brobby to finish matters, he can't do so! And Gulo will, Brobby will, no, they won't. Have Sunderland not doubled their lead and put this game totally to bed? Beyond belief.
