Welcome everybody to another episode of my YouTube channel. If you like my episodes,
please give me a like, comment and subscribe to my channel. We are here with Alex Neto,
a local guy from here. Renan Romeu kiteboarding channel,
lifestyle around northeastern Brazil. Here we are in Ilha do Guajiru.
Ilha do Guajiru is a perfect place if you want to improve your kiteboarding level
and also if you want to learn how to kite. You have many different schools,
you have a lot of hotels here lined up in front of this beautiful river.
Today we're going to do a little session here in front of the hotel in the morning
and after that we're going to head up all the way to Praia and hopefully
find a cool spot to do another kite session.
Should we go a little bit more upwind and try to do a cool downwind in the mangroves and play
around? Yeah, it's really beautiful. Usually, when we do these long downwinds, we start in
the beginning of the river, which is really beautiful. We're going to try to go upwind as
much as we can and let's see to where we can go and then we just cruise around and do a little
downwind until the hotel where we're staying. In the real beginning, the wind is a little bit
gusty because there are a lot of trees and they are very high, so there is a huge wind shadow.
Normally, when you start going inside the river, just nearby the big trees, all you have to do is
try to move your kite a little bit up instead of moving down because if you move your kite too low,
it goes into the wind shadow and then you might have a problem. I've never had that experience
before, so I hope it's not going to happen today. We just finished our session here
at Ilha do Guajiru this morning. We did a little downwind through the mangroves.
Very, very beautiful. Really nice to play around. We ended up here at Ilha do Guajiru. We did a
session. It was pretty fun as well. The wind was strong and a lot of people riding. It's cool to
how kiteboarding is so popular right here. All the tourists make the city run just about kiting.
It's pretty cool. Neto had a funny crash. He crashed and then he hit his forehead on the sand
and had a little bit of a bruise there. Now, we are off. We're going to start heading our way to
Let's see what the day brings to us.
We just arrived here at Lagoa do Paraíso. It's a very big lagoon close to Jericoacoara. Jericoacoara
is one of the most famous places in Brazil and actually very famous around the world. There's
many different spots here where people go to the bars to drink and just spend the day. We just found
this little place here in the corner of the lagoon to give it a session. The wind's not going to be
so good because it's a lot of stuff upwind, so it's going to be gusty, but it looks pretty cool.
It's fresh water, so it's always nice to crash into
fresh water. The water is pretty clear as well, so we're going to give it a go.
Trying to get to the end of the world
When it rains, it pours. Water's up to my chin. Won't stop fighting to the very end.

No way
Let's go, time to go eat, because we are starving and it's 2.40 already, still need to do a
sunset session.
I have a competition like in one week, Renner is making me kill myself, every day he's asking
me to do ---- stuff, I like, yeah, I kinda like it.
I don't ask anything, he just see it, just because he's with me and then he's trying
to do this crazy ----.
Alright man, let's go for another one.
We just arrived here at Prea, our hotel is also here, of course, as usual, in front of
the beach, the wind is pumping and for sure we're gonna go for the sunset session, right
Neto?
Yeah, I think it's worth it, it looks pretty strong and we're gonna give it a go, do some
big jumps, Rebel 11.
Man, the sand is flying all over and you just said you're gonna take a Rebel 11, but look,
I'm gonna take the smallest I have, 9, 9, like you think like a 5 meter, no, I have
a smallest 9.
Okay, maybe I take your 10 then.
You take a 10 and I take a 9.
You have to train for the King of Deb, bro.
So that's it for another episode, we had a day full of action here at Prea, if you plan
to come here to this area of Brazil, you have a lot of wind, you can come here from June
until the end of the year and you don't even need to have big kites, you know, sometimes
we travel with a lot of gear and here the biggest kite we used was 11 and this is the
light day wind in the high season, sometimes you see people kiting here with 5 and 6 and
7, so you don't need to worry about bringing big kites, I'm very happy that you watched
the whole episode, see you in the next one, thanks.
