Khao Sok National Park Adventure

Hello everyone, it's me Floyd. Join me as I take a journey to one of southern Thailand's most famous national parks. A place where you can explore many natural wonders from the limestone karsts and the blue waters of Chao Larn lake to the wild river setting of Klongsok village. Stay tuned and you're gonna see a place where the mountains rise above the jungle below. If you're a nature lover you're gonna love Khao Sok National Park. In this video I head north from Phuket to a small village where I explore Thailand's fourth largest lake covering 165 square kilometers. And I stay in a bungalow in the rainforest below stoic limestone mountains where I got to hang out with the locals, made some unforgettable friends and got to enjoy all the little things that mother nature had to offer. Thanks for coming along. Well it is a bittersweet day today. The bitter part is today I leave Phuket. I had to get up real early because I'm on my way to Khao Sok National Park and that's the sweet part. This is one of the hidden gems in southern Thailand and I'm so looking forward to going there and sharing that place with you. But first let's go grab some breakfast shall we? Yeah. Well here I am again with my traditional morning noodle soup. I'm gonna miss this when I get back. It's a spot. Another great breakfast on the way. I think most street food vendors they spare no expense on the napkins. They're multi-purpose. You can use them to wipe your face, blow your nose or wipe your ass. On the road again. Well I've made it to my accommodation Arts Riverview Lodge and travel. I got the welcoming committee here taking me up to my place. Well I'm all checked into my little place here. It's absolutely amazing. I'm in the middle of the jungle in Khao Sok National Park and I'm gonna go do some exploring around. I just got checked in. I just got changed and let's go see what this place has to offer. It's right outside my little room. Riverview down here. There's my little hut right there. Riverview Cottage number 15. Just a quick search online and bang. I found this place Arts Riverview Lodge in Khao Sok National Park. Let's go for a wander and explore. Alright well I'm just about to go on an adventure. I'm leaving my resort and I'm heading up to the little town which is about a kilometer away up through the jungle. Alright let's go on an adventure. Best choice for nature lovers. It's times like these where you just take a random chance and you book a place online and you have no idea what to expect and then you show up and it's wow. Got lucky this time. Hopefully everything works out great tomorrow. I've got a great adventure planned. Alright now when you're exploring unknown territory it's always good to turn around once in a while and see where you came from because when you return home you're going to want to see some familiar sights. Well just along the side of the road here I noticed something odd. Looks like maple syrup but actually these are rubber tree plants and you can see that they're collecting the sap from these trees in the little bowls down below. Hello. Hello. Good. You have food upstairs? Thank you. We're stepping up to Coconut View Restaurant. Let's see if we grab something to eat. Sawadikap. Well it was a great meal. I had a nice bowl of green curry chicken and some rice and I had a pineapple shake which was awesome. And I'm just on my way doing some more exploring. See what we find next. Well good morning from Khao Sok National Park. We're on our way on a grand day tour today. It's going to be amazing. We just took a little break on our route to the lake at the local 7-11 to pick up a few snacks. We'll be on our way. It's going to be an amazing day. Can't wait to show you. We're on the water. Here we go. Well as you can see I've got all my safety gear on for this trip. I got my safety hat, safety glasses, safety mask, safety vest and my bodyguards from Denmark. I am in good hands. The next part of our journey today is going on a nature hike through the trees. Here we're following our way through the bamboo. The infamous sick cave. Because when you go inside here, like this one, it can support you on the back. You can see outside, there's a fire there and then like a mini camp here to support you on the back side. All right. But if elephants come in the front, run. That's why you see like a pancake. I'm trying to make this darkness go away. I'll paint with colors and I'll sing until my lungs give out. I'm gonna let the sun shine in today. Leave my windows open so that I can hear the sound of people talking, the wind blowing in the trees. Oh, I will open up my eyes so I can see the light. Oh, and I'll try to spread my wings so I can fly. Oh, and the darkness starts to fade. Feels like things are gonna go my way. I'm gonna let the sunshine in the day. I'm gonna let the past be filled with smoke. That will try to fix what has been broken. And take this weight off my shoulders. Cause I know yesterday ain't coming back. I stay in the cold. Listen to the ocean. Let its unsaid words be spoken. And I'll bury my... Oh, I will open my eyes so I can see the light. And I'll try to spread my wings so I can fly. Oh, the darkness starts to fade.
