Experience (also known as See My Music Talking) is a legendary 30-minute documentary short about the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Directed by Peter Neal, the film captures the band at the absolute peak of their late-1967 British breakthrough.
While the film focuses on the group's meteoric rise up to late 1967, it was officially premiered to the public on August 19, 1968, at London's National Film Theatre.Key Highlights of the Film... The Iconic 12-String Solo: The centerpiece of the documentary is an intimate, in-studio acoustic solo of Hendrix performing "Hear My Train A Comin'" on a 12-string guitar. It remains one of his most celebrated stripped-back performances.
Live Concert Footage: Features blistering, incendiary live performances filmed at the Blackpool Opera House in November 1967, including tracks like "Purple Haze" and "Wild Thing".
