I Tried Pickleball Social Cypress—Here’s What You Need To Know

What's up everybody? We're here in Cypress, Texas here at Pickleball Social. We're here to show you all the best spots here in Houston, Texas. I don't want to waste any time. Let's go inside and show you what this place has to offer. You want good food? They got that. You want to watch a game here? They got that. You want to play pickleball outside? They got that. They got that. What are you guys doing? They got that. They got that. They got that. Too hot outside? Hey, over here. They got indoor. This place has seven premium courts inside with an orange kitchen. what brought you to pickleball in the very very first place well in the very first place i saw these people at my gym playing pickleball and i was always too scared to go try it out with them and i went to the JW Marriott in San Antonio and they had pickleball and paddles at the hotel yeah the hotel and i'm like you know what i'm trying this out in the Hill Country and then i fell in love i actually saw pickleball for the first time on instagram oh you did yeah and that was like my introduction to like getting into it so that's kind of like what inspired me just to play in general at first what's your skill level you feel like you're at uh my skill level my DUPR's a 2.62 mine's a 2.8 let's go cheers baby the overall experience here the vibes are fire oh and i have a i someone gave me their baby so now i just have a baby but the competition here is like really miniscule it's not a lot of seasoned players but it's really really for more of a social aspect if you wanted to host a private event here this is this is the best place in houston to do it by far seven indoor courts seven outdoor courts it's beautiful it's a brand new the facility just opened with you oh no take one go oh the shot of you literally like when the ball was hit you it's probably you're gonna be able to see like a pov from here last shot with the camera in my hand poor guy yo sorry all right so as we're there playing one of my good friends hits me up and he's like what are you doing you already know we're doing. We're playing pickleball. That's what we do. So he hits me up and he's with one of our other friends and he wanted to play. So bring it on. I have to play against two 4-0 guys right now. Don't know how it's gonna go. Wish us luck. Big money, fast hands. Big money, fast hands. Playing at Pickleball Social Cypress was a really good experience, especially playing with higher level guys. Our buddies Jacob and Reece. Jacob's the guy in the black. That's Scuba Vanjie. And then the shy guy is our buddy Reece. This ATP actually hit the wench right here oh the wench hit the wench uh yeah i know jacob's hitting a lot of nice shots you know legs fake ernie's you ain't know my wrist can move like that huh but we didn't lose a single game by the way just letting you know you know some of our rallies here were quite long but it's not long enough to just keep the game going but you know we are getting better as 4.0s or wanted to be 4.0s and i'm not joking like the ernie is like is jacob's like favorite shot you see how far I had to jump for that Ernie and Isaiah here just hits this stupid freaking lob that I just love to watch every single time It it's so funny Shots pretty unbelievable off the net cord. I've actually never been able to do this you You know what they say, dink money fast hands make money fast hands, big money fast hands A lot of the clips here are pretty lucky and then there are also some really crafty shots and also not so crafty shots. Oh Oh, yo, I can't even lie. I'm like literally a brick wall Now i'm just gonna be yapping about basically the rating of this place and I do have some Exclusive footage with one of the owners at Pickleball Social the Cristiano Ronaldo of pickleball owners. Mr Juan Carlos himself, you know now that I think about it Juan Carlos does kind of look like Cristiano Ronaldo if you're in a pickleball place now for my overall opinions and views Of this place overall impression i'm gonna give it a rating one through ten This place has minimal room for improvement. The facility is brand new. It's a place I would 100% come back to. I would give this place 8.1 Now, the reason I give it an 8, the environment that it offers is amazing. The bar, staff, we have a lot of good friends at Pickleball Social. Mr. Bruno, Juan Carlos, Yvonne, David. David wasn't there today, but shout out, David. The reason I give it an 8 is because they offer more than Pickleball. They offer a place of family. They offer a good place of having a good time. That's what they prioritize is having a good time. They want you to come back not just for pickleball, but they want you to come back to come back Not only is it a pickleball facility? It's a place where you can come together and organize something even it has even if it has nothing to do with pickleball I would 100% come back and have a great aunts dogs uncles cousins birthday there, you know Now I wanted to talk about the courts and the playing quality. It's a little dark in certain spots It's not too important. The ceilings are really high though you can really throw the ball like over anybody the daytime the bar the bar doors they open up so anytime between like 8 a.m and like 7 p.m here it's like it's brand new so you really only get to play a night for like i don't know two hours and the quality of the courts are literally brand new they're they're amazing uh they have cranks on all the nets so if the nets just get played and they just get hit over and over and over and over you can just crank the net back up and spacing in between the courts is a little tight you know you can still you can still hit hit your ATPs and they're fenced in so everything's fenced in the fencing there's a little gap in between other restrooms are well maintained it's something that's underused in pickleball socials facility there's a little locker room in the back you put all your stuff back there with a little lock if you wanted to do that to do that as well and also the temperature and the airflow in there there is a giant garage door at the bar but when they do open that up it does get a little warm in there it's not unbearable I do like the fact that you kind of feel like you're outside and i like the connectedness of being outside and inside because i like playing outside it's not miserable the only thing is during the daytime when they open the doors is when it gets a little warm but other than that i like the temperature in there now the last thing i kind of wanted to point out things on was the competition there this place is not for the high level competitive player that i am or that Isaiah is this for someone that really wants to learn pickleball and kind of get into the scene if you don't know what you're doing like where do you go they go to a park with random people that are already better than you pickleball social is definitely a place where you want like they'll come and they'll teach you how to do it and they'll they'll help you learn how to play find your paddle they'll help you find a partner they'll just get you started you know and you can be here for the next year and that is just what pickleball social does it gives you gives you a reason to play pickleball in the first place I even get you killed him god damn you ******* ripped it this is the owner of pickleball social mr ivan he's not here present but this is mr juan carlos he's one of the two owners of pickleball social welcome two locations gonna be one in memorial uh houston memorial and there's one in Cypress this location is very very new they just opened in august it's really really beautiful and what do you guys offer here we have uh 13 pickleball courts seven indoor six outdoor we have an indoor and outdoor bar we have turf area with cornhole, big screen TV, we have multiple TVs all around we have a stage for bands and DJ, we have a big outdoor space seating area deck, really beautiful with five cabanas, their food is top notch made by Chef Marco, this is really the best place to throw a private event if you ever wanted to come here with a group of, what's the capacity you guys hold 600, 400, 400, 500 people, pickleball is like a lifestyle, yes it's a form of life like just the same way that people like to go to the gym, pickleball has just been embedded into our blood and that's just what we love to do, it's very social yeah not intimidating to anybody, anybody can play and learn how to play in five minutes, yep and you take it as far as you want to, we are here in the Cypress location, we are in the process of building three outdoor volleyball courts, oh yeah that's awesome yeah uh we're gonna have additional restrooms with showers in the back, oh hell yeah with three uh outdoor beach volleyball courts that's gonna bring a lot more fun a lot more different people other than pickleball for people to come and have fun yeah it gives families yeah family oriented with kids are welcome pets are welcome the same volleyball courts will give another reason for you to come here and just have a good time uh Mr. Bruno here is gonna be one of the managers here for Cypress location he always hooks it up he's always having a good time yeah and Mr. Juan Carlos you're here all the time i love it this is a lot of fun for me yeah i love greeting our customers i love interacting with our customers we have a full bar full bar yep every liquor possible mocktails too uh seltzers all the kind of beers if you're in houston and if you ever want to get into pickleball this is the absolute best place to get into pickleball to learning how to play make friends be a regular and just have like the best time because they have the best owners and the best organization here thank you and i would just i love being a regular here you know i've been here coming here for what like almost since we opened since we yeah i've been here Yeah, so Cypress will open in August of 2025.
