Welcome to the Inland MX Championship
where the young boys, the juniors, are taking on the race.
Hey, how are you?
Hello, my name is Noxen.
This young champion, how are you?
Hazet, Hazet!
Yes!
Hey, how are you?
Good.
I'm good. What is your name?
Allegra.
Are you also a rider?
Yes.
When did you start?
Last year.
Last year?
So who's teaching you?
Adriana.
Is she a trainer?
Yes.
Oh, wow, that's nice.
That's my buddy on the box.
What's your name, boy?
Noxen.
Are you also a rider?
Yes.
Yes, how old are you?
Five.
Oh, wow, that's lovely.
Hi.
Hi, how are you?
I'm good.
I'm good. What's your name?
Diego.
Okay, when did you start racing?
When I turned eight.
When you turned eight?
Yeah.
How old are you now?
Nine.
Nine?
So just explain to me what is happening now.
All right, so we are at round four, I think it is, of the Inland Junior Development Series.
Yeah.
Uncle Xavier and all of them have put together a nice little thing for kids to come and learn
and have a safe environment to come and learn with no pressure.
And this is the development into the racing of the inland.
So from here, as soon as the lattes get better, yeah, they progress to the inland series and
then become better racers and whatnot.
What I like about it is they put a lot of focus into pit bikes, so the pit bike racing
as well for like the dads or all the brothers or whatever can come around and have a draw
with us.
We get you hanging out and the kids have a draw.
Diego took the win today.
We got Noxon, you just interviewed him.
You also took a draw with us.
Nice time out with the family.
Thanks to everybody that's behind it, Zeeman, Uncle Xavier from Inland, Uncle Eddie, everyone
comes together and everyone has a draw, bro.
As a champion, you can see a champion, yeah?
Oh yeah, he's hungry.
He's always focused.
Fresh liquor.
Yeah.
So what is the future of the sport as it is?
This is meant to bread that.
So this is where, like Diego, he's only been riding for about just under a year and he's
going to go to inland soon.
We've got a few lattes out there that have also just started.
So the future of the sport is looking bright.
What do you like about the racing?
It's fun.
It's fun?
Do you go fast?
Very fast.
Yeah.
Where is your bike?
It's parked.
Oh, it's just over there.
It's parked?
Yes.
Oh, nice.
Nice.
So this is your, just tell me about your gear.
What have you got?
What are you wearing?
I'm wearing the blue kit.
Yes.
And boots.
Fox boots.
And boots.
Fox boots.
Yeah.
Wow.
So who bought you this?
Dad, my dad.
Your dad.
Your dad loves you, eh?
Hello.
Yeah.
Hey, how are you?
How's that, brother?
I'm good.
How's that?
We're loving this sport.
It's mostly 110cc, but we have a couple of big ones, like 160cc.
Yeah.
These guys are riding these bikes like a machine.
Yeah.
We love this sport.
We've been doing this for quite a long time.
Yeah.
So we're enjoying it, and we're back all the time, and we're having a great time.
Having a great time, and we're all brothers.
So just tell me, when you start training, a person like me who doesn't know anything,
how long does it take for me to be a full-time rider?
This depends how much time you put in and how much effort you put in.
So I go to the gym at least three or four times a week.
Yeah.
So it actually helps us, yeah, because the condition has to be strong.
Strong.
Yeah, strong.
So it's definitely…
Sometimes it's all about practice, all about how much you put in.
You can be here three or four months if you train well.
It's all about you.
Yeah.
Wow.
The ground is not stable.
What do you love about…
My bike first.
Yes.
And what you want to be when you grow up.
No, don't be afraid.
Talk to the mic.
Yeah.
You can talk to the mic.
You must talk into this thing.
Yeah.
Talk, talk, talk, talk.
Yeah.
Listen, how old are you?
I'm six years old.
You're five years old.
He's five.
What do you like about bikes, Noxon?
About winning.
You like winning.
About winning.
Lovely, lovely.
I like that.
So you're a champion also.
When did you start training?
I started with my dad.
Oh, so your dad is teaching you?
Yeah.
Wow.
So you're also a rider?
Yeah, I'm also a rider, yeah.
Oh, okay.
So tell me just…
He rides the big bike.
The big bike.
This is Noxon.
Noxon's five years old.
Yes.
He rides the Pee Wee Class.
He got second today.
Uh-huh.
He was rolling a few crashes, but he came out swinging and knocked you.
Yeah.
You must talk.
Talk.
What do you want to say?
And a guy always wins, but he's not here today.
Oh.
He's a champion.
Yeah, he's a champion.
What do you like about the sport?
It's nice to do.
Go fast.
And she's the only girl.
She's the only girl.
Oh, lovely, lovely.
But you hold yourself here.
When was this?
Yesterday.
You fell yesterday?
Yes, my brother crashed into me.
Oh, no, I see.
So how old are you now?
Six.
Six?
And you're a fast runner.
Wow, no, that's great.
That's great.
Really inspired.
So what can you say about other kids who are learning the sport?
To train hard and to never give up.
They're very good.
Be very good, yes.
Oh, nice, nice.
I'm inspired by you, eh?
Give me a high five.
Oh, that's great.
Thank you so much, eh?
Thank you.
You're going to be a champion.
You are a champion already.
Yes.
Oh, that's lovely, that's lovely.
Are you going to teach me to ride also?
That's a microphone.
So are you going to teach me to ride?
No.
Yes?
I said no.
No, why not?
Why not?
Are you going to teach him how to be naughty?
Tell him that.
You want to teach me to be naughty?
Oh, nice, nice, nice, nice.
So tell me about your gear.
Who bought you this?
My mum.
Your mum?
Oh, lovely, lovely.
That's beautiful.
So tell me about this one.
Where did you get this one?
This is a new pants.
New pants, yes.
I won the chip with this one.
Oh, okay, yes.
And I fell at the hoops.
The hoops, yes.
Two times I fell.
Oh, nice.
We've got another launcher there you can eat too.
Kegon.
Kegon?
Okay, awesome, awesome, awesome.
But I love you're a champion, man.
Give me a high five.
Yes, you're going to win again.
But I finished my race.
Oh, you finished today's race?
No more.
No more today?
Yeah.
Ah, next time I'm going to come and race with you, right?
But I'm still on the ice because I'm doing so high.
Can you also do that stunt?
Can you?
Oh, lovely, lovely.
But one time I was here.
Yes.
So he passed you.
Yeah, because I went down here.
Yeah.
Oh, no, that's awesome.
Give me a high five.
You're a champion, baby.
Away, away.
Yes.
Did you race today?
Yes.
Okay, did you win?
Yeah, I got second and first.
Second position?
Second and first.
Give me a high five.
So what do you like about racing?
Speeding.
Beating people in racing.
Beating people?
In racing.
And racing?
And jumping.
So who inspired you to start racing?
It was my grandpa.
He ran me a PB and I started racing.
Oh, nice, nice.
So who's teaching you how to race?
Adriano and Coach Tyler.
Oh, lovely, lovely, lovely, lovely.
So when you want to grow up, what do you want to be?
A motocross racer.
Say what?
I'm a motocross racer.
Oh, nice.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So where are your boots?
I'm changing now because I'm going to go on podium soon.
Oh, you're changing now.
I wish I could have seen you when you were racing, bro.
So is this your bike?
No.
Which one is your bike?
Is this one?
Just tell me about your bike.
Show me your bike.
Yeah.
It has extra pods to make it faster.
Yes.
It also has a grip seat to make you grip more.
Yes.
And it has different color handlebars.
Uh-huh.
Oh, nice, nice.
So you know how to change the chains also?
No.
Who's doing the chains?
My dad.
Your dad.
Your dad is a superstar, eh?
What is your dad?
This is your dad?
Yeah.
Oh, nice.
Let's just introduce me to your dad.
Yes, how are you, sir?
Good, and you?
I'm good, I'm good.
Just tell me about the young man.
We didn't know we were going to do this sport.
Yeah.
But I had a four-wheeler at my house and my dad wanted it for the grandchildren.
Yeah.
So he said he'll give me money for it.
So I said, no, I don't want the money.
Bring me something else.
So he brang a Peavey 50.
And that's how it started.
And then they just started loving it.
My daughter also started racing also.
Yeah.
So it's her first race as well.
Yeah.
And we love it.
Yeah.
Keeps him off the tablets.
Yeah.
So tell me the history about this sport.
I don't know.
I'm not familiar with the history because I'm also new.
Yeah.
These boys have been doing it for mega years, you know, from kids.
So for me, it's also new.
I'm learning from them.
So, yeah.
Yeah.
But, yeah, it's an eventful journey.
Like, they crash, they get hurt, they get up, they smile, they laugh, they cry.
Yeah.
But, yeah, we enjoy it quite a lot.
So, who's training you?
Coach Charlie and Adriana.
Oh, they're trainers.
Yeah, they race as well, but they're also coaching.
They're also coaching.
Yeah.
Oh, no, that's lovely.
That's lovely.
So, yeah, he wouldn't be doing what he's doing if it wasn't for them.
Yeah.
Oh, nice.
You don't have any accidents.
I had two times.
But it's a small accident.
Small one.
Yeah.
Oh, no, man.
I love you.
So, who's your role model?
Hayden Deegan.
Hayden.
Who's Hayden?
It's an American rider, Hayden Deegan.
Uh-huh.
That's why his number is 238.
Oh, lovely.
This is your number.
Yeah, that's the number for...
You're a star, man.
You're a star.
Thank you.
So, you don't have any YouTube that people can find you?
I do.
I'm on Instagram.
Instagram.
No, what are we on?
I don't know.
I think it's TikTok.
TikTok.
Yeah.
What's the Instagram name?
Uh...
Yeah, the Instagram one, it's A Kid's Life.
Yeah.
And then the TikTok one, it's under a profile called Manny G.
Yes.
Oh, no, that's loud.
You're a star, man.
Thank you.
You're a champion.
Keep it up, eh.
Keep it up.
Thank you.
All right.
Well, thank you, bro.
It's LACA.
It looks cool.
We obviously encourage more people to come, you know, racing in South Africa.
It's not big, but it can be better.
Awesome.
Yeah, and us from Zeemans are trying to implement a few things to get racing good again,
and Uncle Xavier and them make it worth your while for everyone, so...
Awesome.
So, do you have any classes for people who are starting from scratch to get into LACA?
Yeah.
So, we've got Diego, who's in the 50cc class.
Yeah.
This is the bare minimum.
This is your base for if you want to learn to race or come and race.
So, all guys of us at Hooligan, we ride for a racing school, Hooli School.
We run a training academy every Sunday at Aurora, and we got Diego in there, so...
We start there, we see how it is, and then from there, we get you in touch with Xavier
and all of them, and then two development series, and then from there onwards, if you
like it, you carry on.
Yeah.
So, is there any age limit, maybe?
No, bro.
I mean, we've got kids.
I mean, Noxon's five.
Diego's eight.
We've got...
Nine.
So, his sister's also five.
Yeah.
It's not her first race.
I mean, she did so well today, so...
I'm going to go race.
He's going to go race.
Alright, cool.
You ready?
Yeah, LACA.
We're going to hang out with the big boys.
With the big boys, yeah.
Awesome.
So, are they getting ready for the race?
Yes, it's getting so good to there.
Yeah.
Are you also going in?
Not going in.
Oh.
So, basically, I've been riding pit bikes since about 2009 at Seringa Spa.
Yeah.
And then it died down for a couple of years.
Yeah.
It basically came back in, I think, around about 2020.
June, July 2020.
So, yeah, we're just trying to grow the sport at the moment.
So, there's a lot of old guys like myself.
I'm 55.
Riding against guys that are like 13, 14 years old.
I'm riding with one leg.
Oh, yeah.
I did see that.
So...
Yeah.
So, it's a little bit uncomfortable on the smaller bikes.
But, yeah, it's good, eh?
Uh-huh.
We're just trying to get the guys together and trying to get the guys to grow the sport
a bit, you know?
So, that's it.
Yeah.
So, how long have you been riding?
Well, basically, pit bikes, I've only been doing...
We stopped in about 20...
I'd say about 2014.
It died down completely and now it's just come back in 2020, around about then.
Yeah.
Or just after COVID, like July 21.
I think that's when it came back, yeah.
Oh, that's amazing.
And then we're just trying to get the guys to participate, you know?
Yeah.
Just grow the sport.
There's no championship we're racing for.
It's just to have fun, basically, yeah.
So, what's the future of the sport in South Africa?
Well, it depends on how many guys join, you know?
This is for junior development.
We're just supporting the junior development guys.
So, they'll go up to the motocross, the in-land championship.
But, like I say, on the pit bike, there's no...
It'll just keep on going and that's it.
There's no real championship that we're racing for.
It's just to have fun, basically, yeah.
That's what it is.
Yeah, so...
What is that?
Basically, what we're trying to do is just get the juniors more involved.
We're just trying to get the juniors involved, you know?
That's the job.
No, that's fine.
Yeah.
So, what's the future of the sport?
Well, basically, on the pit bike side, there's no real future, you know?
It's just for fun.
But, on the junior development side, it's going to...
Obviously, they'll go from this to 65s or 50s, 65s on the big track.
And then, from there, they'll just carry on racing for regional and national status, yeah.
So, what are the challenges you have in the game?
Well, fitness is one problem, yeah.
So, you've got to be fit.
If you're not fit, you're going to get hurt, you know?
So, fitness plays a big part.
And also, I think your mind's got to be right.
You know, you ride different tracks.
We don't just ride here.
We ride Aurora, we ride Ridgeway.
So, we've got the three circuits that we're racing.
So, at this track, we'll have three legs this year.
At Aurora...
Yeah.
At Aurora, we've got three legs.
And then, Ridgeway, we've got two legs.
So, it consists of eight legs throughout the year, yeah.
So, that's basically our job.
So, what are you doing to promote the sport?
Well, me, on my own, I don't really do much.
I just get the guys...
We try to get as many guys together and just to come out there and show the guys
that it doesn't matter how old you are, if you've got one leg or not,
you can ride a motorbike.
You can have fun.
It's a whole family thing.
Our wives are here.
My father's here.
My kids are racing with me.
My brother races with me.
So, there's a whole lot of us, you know.
And it's more...
They also have family that are here now.
So, it's just to bring the families for a day out, you know.
That's it.
Oh, that's awesome.
Awesome.
Thank you so much.
Thank you very much.
I appreciate it.
Sure, thanks.
Awesome, awesome.
Are you ready?
Yeah, I'm ready.
I'm going to hang out with the big boys.
The big boys, yeah.
Diego, are you happy?
Yes.
Oh, you had a great time.
Awesome.
So, you want to go home now?
Yes.
Oh, I see.
Good, good, good.
Please tell us your name and where you come from.
We are from Molotow Road.
And we stay out in Pretoria.
And my name is Aram Bellevap.
I live in Rustenburg.
And my name is Aydin Estrezen.
I fell on the last lap.
Yeah.
And my nose ended.
And, like, I overshoot the jump.
That jump over there.
And, yeah, it was a very hard fall.
But I just get up, get my bike up and keep going.
It was nice cooking the boys a little.
And, yeah.
Jack is lekker.
So, what have you learned about the game so far?
Just be yourself.
Enjoy the game and, yeah.
Just enjoy everything that you have.
And your parents and your sponsors.
And thank you for my dad and my mom for the support for today.
And every single guy and kids on this track, just be safe.
So, who's your mom here?
Who's your dad here?
My mom is here and my dad is here.
Oh, there you are.
Oh, nice, nice, nice.
So, they are supporting you on the game also and helping you to grow.
Yeah, I have a YouTube channel also.
What's your YouTube channel?
Let me know.
Aaron Belafonte, hashtag 18.
Yeah.
Oh, nice, nice, nice.
And I'm 10 years old.
10?
Still 4 years.
Yeah, I'm the youngest kid on 85.
Wow, wow, wow.
So, what position did you get today?
I don't know.
You didn't check?
We are still waiting for the stuff to get out.
For the results?
Yeah.
Okay, and you?
What position did you get today?
I don't know.
I think first, but yeah.
Yeah.
And what's your YouTube?
Not yet.
I haven't got YouTube yet, but I'll start.
We changed.
We're creating one.
Oh, we're creating one?
Yeah, still creating.
It's going to be Sedin Motor Queen 909.
Sedin Motor Queen 909?
Yeah.
That's super, eh?
So, what is your future?
What is your goal with the game?
Just to be myself and grow up, get better and be on the TV one day.
You'll be on the TV one day?
Yeah.
You're already on TV.
To beat all the boys.
Yeah, you want to beat all the boys.
So, you were the only girl who was racing today?
Yeah.
Oh, that's nice.
So, who's teaching you?
My dad.
Where is your dad?
Ah, this picture is the dad.
The dad that doesn't run.
That doesn't run?
Yeah.
Oh, okay, cool.
So, how long did you start training?
Two years already.
Two years?
Yeah.
So, how was the journey?
It's fun.
Yeah.
It's nice.
So, are you doing great at school?
Yeah.
Grade 9.
Grade 9?
Yeah.
So, how are your marks at school?
Good, but not that good.
Not as good as a bike rider.
Good as the bike rider.
No, I love that.
I love that.
So, you want to be a champion also?
You're already a champion.
No, not yet, but I want to be.
You want to be?
Yeah.
So, which race do you want to go for?
I'm not sure yet.
You're not sure yet?
Yeah, I'm staying with the Inlands for now.
So, you're only enjoying this one?
Yeah.
That's awesome.
And what is your dream?
I want to get a nice car.
Nice car?
Yeah, and lots of bikes.
Yeah.
Lots of bikes.
Oh, that's lovely.
That's lovely.
And you, young man, what is your dream?
I want to live in a mansion with a lot of supercars.
Supercars, yes.
Yeah.
And I'm in grade 5 and homeschooling.
Yeah.
And I'm looking up to Jet Lawrence and Adrian Regan.
Yeah.
Oh, that's awesome.
Yes, yes, that's how you do it.
That's how you do it.
And I'm also his sister.
You're also his sister?
You lost me in it, Domker.
So much esteem is gone.
Well, we support them with being there, coaching them, teaching them.
I think the biggest thing is mother's support.
Oh, yes.
Oh, yes, definitely.
Without the mother, what can you do without your mom?
Yeah.
That's it?
Yeah.
Yeah?
No, on our side, it's like when he can't ride, he's having like a tantrum.
So, he must ride.
He must ride.
If he can ride, that child is so happy.
But, yeah.
Yeah.
Yes.
Yeah, Zayden's the same.
Yeah.
So, from their side, do you think it's their dream to ride?
Oh, yes.
So, Arun's dream is to go ride overseas.
He wants to also, like Jet Lawrence and Adrian Regan, he wants to follow in their footsteps.
Yeah.
Yes.
So, are they also the champions?
We are getting there.
Oh, yes, yes, yeah.
Adrian Regan and Jet Lawrence is top.
Is top?
They are top, yes.
Oh, okay, cool.
So, now, are they going to make money from the sport?
Not in South Africa, but overseas they will.
Overseas?
Yes.
Oh, that's lovely.
There's a bright future for them to go ride overseas.
Yes.
Oh, nice, nice.
So, there are no accidents there?
Accidents, what?
Overseas?
No, here.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, they happen.
They happen.
But that's how they learn.
Yeah.
Yeah, that's how they learn.
That's part of the game.
You see, that's why they need the mom.
They need the mom.
The dad just come and push, like, go, go, go.
And also the mom, but when it comes to off time and soreness, then the mom is there.
Awesome.
To take care.
That's lovely.
So, when you don't want them to go to the game, what happens?
They never not want to come.
She's always ready to come.
Now, even if she has to be busy in the house, you always have to make a plan.
Yeah.
Wow.
Every weekend it's riding.
Pack up and go ride.
Yes.
We also.
Yeah, yeah.
Definitely.
Yeah, this is…
So, other people go on holidays.
So, our money goes into the sport for our children.
Wow.
Yes.
Wow.
I love that.
Yes.
We don't have other plans weekends.
We do this.
Wow.
Yes.
You know what I believe in?
I believe in supporting their dreams.
Yes.
Oh, yes.
Definitely.
They just need that support from mom and dad and sister or brother.
Ah, that's a sister.
And then they are…
When the support is there and the family and just like friends at the track also shouting,
go, go, go.
So, it gives them that motivation to just go.
So, let me just tell you.
Next time if we are here, we will try.
Aaron will try his hardest.
He wants to catch this woman's daughter.
She's like champion now.
Yeah.
So, hopefully next time we can get there.
He will.
Practice makes perfect.
Awesome.
Let me see your key.
It's a nice sport.
I like to support my family.
But my brother did very well today.
So, I'm very proud of him.
Aaron did very well today.
So, how long did he start training?
From 2024.
2034?
Yes.
How old was he?
He was 8.
8?
Yes.
So, who introduced him to the game?
So, Richard Smith.
Who is Richard?
It's our friend.
The friend?
Yes.
Oh, no.
So, from day one he started enjoying?
Yes.
He never had any ambitions for anything else?
No, no, no.
Yeah.
So, how are you supporting him actually?
He has to practice.
Yes.
Give me that boom, boom, boom.
Yes.
One more time.
Nice, nice.
Give me that one.
Yes.
Give me that.
Yes.
That's what they do there.
Yeah.
What's your name?
Blakely Martin.
Oh, okay.
So, are you enjoying the sport?
Yes, I'm loving it because my daddy's first and I love it very much and it's very fun to
explore.
Is your daddy also racing?
Yes, he's having fun.
He's back there.
Oh, that's it there.
And my brother is there.
And your brother there?
Yes.
Yeah.
So, you also want to be a racer?
Yes, I really want to be a netball player and a bike rider.
A bike rider.
Oh, that's it.
How old are you now?
Sorry?
How old are you?
Eight.
Eight?
So, you love racing?
Oh, that's awesome.
So, your daddy's also teaching you?
No, he's not teaching me.
I don't have a bike.
Just a motorcycle.
He's not teaching you?
You're teaching yourself?
No, I'm teaching myself.
You know how to ride?
Yes.
Oh, that's lovely.
Give me a high five.
Yes.
Watch this fast netball.
Yeah.
Cool, cool.
All right.
So, he's going to kill you.
Go, Alex.
Who's the slow rider there?
Not the slow rider.
Who's the guy?
Alex.
Yeah.
Is he coming for the last lap?
He's not finished.
This is the last lap.
This is the last one?
Yeah.
Awesome.
Go, go, go.
Go.
My name is Xavier Arnold.
Myself and the team, Eddie, Ashley, Chad, Amanda.
There's a whole bunch of us who run the inland motocross championship racing.
Yeah.
It's motocross racing.
And we also do, like you saw today, the junior development stuff.
Yeah.
So that we can bring new kids into the sport and teach them how the racing happens.
Yeah.
But our main focus is on the inland racing.
We run national, we run interprovincial, and we run club racing.
Yeah.
And it's all different levels of abilities.
Our next race is down in KZN.
KZN, yeah.
Richard's Bay.
In Richard's Bay, yeah.
Yes, yes.
I'm coming there.
Is it?
Okay.
Well, you saw Adriano early on.
He's with the Siemens team.
Uh-huh.
So we do a lot of stuff with different sponsors.
We've got Dragon Energy as one of our sponsors.
Yeah.
We've got Siemens is now one of our sponsors as well, Honda.
Yeah.
As well as Mayfair Gearbox.
So we've got a whole bunch of different guys who help us.
We've got a great team of medics like Mike and those guys.
I met Mike there.
Yeah.
Great guy.
Checking someone.
Yeah.
And they're there to ensure that all our riders are safe.
And yeah.
So junior development is designed to bring new people into the sport.
And today you saw exactly what the new guys are doing.
Yeah.
So yeah.
So what are the challenges in the sport?
Challenges is expense.
Unfortunately motorbikes can get expensive.
That's why we do the junior development.
There's a lot of pit bikes.
And pit bikes are very cheap.
So the pit bike guys are growing, which is awesome.
But when you go to the big track, you're looking at 150,000, 180,000 for a bike.
And most of the time if you're racing very competitively, you need two bikes.
Two bikes.
So it can get very expensive.
So the challenges are the expense.
Other than that, it's a great family sport.
Ashley is my daughter-in-law.
Hello.
Chad over there is my son.
Yeah.
He's the clerk of the course.
So they all used to race.
Now we're putting back into the sport as we go.
So tell me about Dirt Bronco.
Dirt Bronco, obviously out here in Krugersdorp.
Yeah.
This track is owned by Eddie.
I don't know if you saw Eddie earlier.
Yeah.
Okay.
I've got a track in Kempton Park called Aurora.
We use other tracks, as I said, Richards Bay, Bloemfontein.
Yeah.
We have another one, Chestnut Hill in Cullinan.
Those various different tracks that we use to give the riders different experiences.
So you can ride on an easy track or a difficult track.
Yeah.
And depending on where we're racing.
I understand.
And then the guys come and practice a week before the event.
So it's great for turning over dollars.
Yeah.
So what can you say to somebody who just saw the sport now, they want to be coming here?
Go on to our Facebook page, our Instagram page, Inland Motocross Championship.
Hook up with us and we'll introduce you to the sport.
Introduce you to the right dealers to deal with.
Yeah, pretty much that's it.
Awesome.
So have a chat to us.
My name is Xavier, as I said.
My number is 082-457-6962.
I'm easy to get a hold of and I'll point you in the right direction.
Awesome.
Thank you so much, man.
Thank you very much, man.

Oh, that's awesome.
Okay, this is my son, Mateo.
Mateo, yes.
He is five years old.
This was his first race today.
And we are so proud of him.
He did phenomenal today.
That's all we can say.
We had fun.
And he's the one in my heart.
That's all that matters.
So, who's teaching him to ride?
He rides with us.
His grandfather, his uncle, some friends.
So, he doesn't have a coach or anything like that.
Wow.
How old are you, Mateo?
Five.
Wow, you're better than me.
I don't know how to ride.
Well, that's awesome.
So, what do you have about him?
What do you dream about to achieve?
For the sport?
Yes.
My dream for him is to always have fun.
Yeah.
I think that's what I would want him.
To always have fun.
And if he wants to excel in it and to make a dream out of it,
then we're going to support him all the way.
Awesome.
100%.
And your cousin, what do you want to say about Mateo?

Well done, champion!
Champion!
Well done. Thank you, man.
You're a champion, eh?
You're still shy. Well done, well done.
Good, good, guys. Well done, eh?
Well done.
My name's Eddie, and we run, well, I run Dirt Bronco.
The other guy, Xavier, runs Aurora.
Aurora's out in Kempton Park, we're out on the west at Krugersdorp.
And please, guys, we're looking for a mixed bunch of people to come and ride motorbikes.
So, if you're into motorbikes and two-wheel sports,
we do have trainers that would be able to rent out the smaller motorbikes
and teach the children first.
And if the children are keen, obviously, then you would go out and you'd go and buy your own motorbike and so on.
So, here at Dirt Bronco, we've got three tracks.
We've got a very baby track for the Peewees.
We've got the intermediate track that we raced on today.
And then we've got the national track behind me that we raced the bigger bikes,
all the way up to 450cc off-road bikes.
So, everyone is welcome to come?
Everybody welcome. So long as you've got a helmet,
I would suggest a long-sleeved shirt, long pants and a good pair of shoes.
And then you're all welcome to come and ride.
We charge a daily fee.
And come and enjoy yourself.
Bring yourself some meat with, come and cook some meat.
And just have a good day with the family.
Awesome. I'll come and join you, but for the meat.
Yeah, I'll come join you.
So, great.
Come and support and let's get more people on motorbikes.
Awesome. I love it. I had a great time.
And thank you so much for opening doors for us.
Thank you so much for visiting.
So, what do you think about this sport?
It's an awesome sport. I'm telling you, I'm almost a 50-year-old toppy and this man got me involved in it.
Yeah, that's the way.
Let me tell you, I've hurt my shoulders a few times, but now after we've been on the track, it was awesome.
Very good. Good fun.
Got my son involved as well.
We're all being our family together. It's lekker.
Awesome. Awesome. Thank you very much.
Good.
