Congratulations on the fantastic film.
Thank you.
And while it's an amazing story about the Sardinians,
it's also a huge love letter to the music and the power of music.
So what does that mean to you to be able to pour yourselves into these characters?
I just love and relate to them because I think you feel the same.
Both of us have had careers that kind of blow us away.
Like, let me speak for me.
I had, I came out of drama school at 26.
I started a theatre company because I thought, you know, I'll just do some theatre, you know.
And then I got this and that and went on.
And that theatre company is still going and I would still be there right now.
That's what I, because I just wanted to act.
I wanted to be on stage.
I wanted to do things like Mike and like Claire.
And I love that we're showcasing those thousands of great musicians
that are in local bars that just live for tip money or whatever it is,
who are successors because they're doing what they love.
And they have to do it because they love it.
My dad Kurt always said to me, like, you know, if you don't love what you do in this industry,
it's going to really disappoint you.
It's going to let you down.
So you got to love it.
And it's like, and I think that any artist,
no matter if you actually reach a certain level of what people see as success from the outside in,
like if you have to do it, you just have to do it.
And if there's anything an artist who feels that way knows,
it's like they'll relate to Mike and Claire in this movie
because they don't know what, that's the only thing they know.
It's what they love the most is, you know, and as someone who's been on the road
and knows a million musicians who are just scraping by that just have to play music,
like, you know, if it's in your, if it's your calling,
you're calling no matter where you're playing.
And this movie is such a great love story.
I think, I mean, as a love story, but also just to people who just have to,
have to like follow their calling.
Ladies and gentlemen, you're watching HeyUGuys.
