What is up everybody, Jordan here,
and today I wanted to talk about the art
of packing a suitcase, because trust me,
it is an art form, and once you master it,
it becomes quick, easy,
and you can pack a whole bunch of stuff.
I've been traveling a lot recently,
and I've partnered with Away Luggage for this video,
but I've been using the brand for about two years,
and just look how sexy these are.
It's got real leather, which just kind of screams classy,
and I personally like to travel in style
and have really nice-looking luggage,
and these are perfect.
You get so much room inside of the luggage,
and not only that, you can bring both of them on the plane,
and that is exactly what I do.
If you want, you can get one with a built-in battery,
but for me, I went without.
So I went with the bigger carry-on and the weekender,
which is perfect for a trip, perfect for a getaway,
and trust me, you can fit a lot of stuff
in both of these bad boys, so let's get right into it.
First thing I like to do is lay out
all the stuff I wanna bring.
So I usually bring around three to four pairs of shoes,
my Dopp kit, so it has all my hygiene,
and around four to five pairs of pants slash jeans.
Everything else is tops, whether it's sweaters,
jackets, shirts, dinner shirts, polos, T-shirts.
I like to stock up on tops because you can wear
more of those with the same pair of pants,
and you get more outfits.
What I love about this carry-on is the amount of space
that you get and the compartments that you get with it.
Here, this is where I put my shoes.
I can usually fit two to three pairs,
but when I get my boots, I can fit two.
I like to bring a set of loafers just because they're classy
and they go with a lot of my outfits,
and this is where I like to stuff
all of my socks and underwear,
just because it gives me more storage,
and if you don't want, you can put it around the sides
as well, and you're good to go.
Once you're done, zip it up, forget about it,
you're ready to go, and you're ready to move on.
This is my Dopp kit.
This is where I put all of my hygiene necessities
like deodorant.
This is where I put my comb, my boar bristle brush
for the pesky sides of my hair.
I also put my hair product, which is a pomade right now,
my toothbrush and toothpaste.
I also have my eye cream and my face moisturizer
simply because the long flights,
you get bags under your eyes because you can't sleep,
and usually when you travel, you get dry skin,
and of course, some cologne travel size from Morris Motley.
All right, so this is where the art form takes place,
packing and organizing your clothes.
I like to start with the more stingy things
like jeans on the bottom
just because they don't really bend very well.
Put those in, and I start stacking my slacks.
Trousers are good because it just allows you
to have a lot of different outfits.
I usually go with black, blue,
and then like a nice loud pair
that looks like you can do some pretty cool outfits with.
After that, I usually have a space
perfect for my shirts, t-shirts, and polos.
White t-shirts are perfect
because they just go with pretty much everything,
and then the polos I like
because it gives me that classy, casual vibe,
especially when traveling,
you're not trying to dress up way too much.
And then with a nice casual flowy shirt,
this is good for at least my style
and going out for dinner, going out for lunch,
or having the, you know,
like a nice night out.
And of course, you can't go without jackets.
Like I said, the more outerwear and topwear you have,
the more outfits you can make.
I had to bring a few jackets on my trips,
and then that's it.
My carry-on is complete.
Everything else that I might want to take
that's extra goes in my Weekender bag.
I usually bring in other pairs of shoes,
which is great because this Weekender
has a specific slot that you can put them in on the bottom,
which is really convenient
because if they get dirty,
they're not gonna get your clothes dirty.
And here, I usually bring at least one more jacket
and a few sweaters,
just because you never know,
it could get a little chilly.
And plus, sweaters look good most of the time.
Put my camera in there.
Obviously, you can't see it
because I'm using it to film this video.
But yes, I have enough room to put my camera
in the Weekender.
And there you have it.
That's pretty much what I bring on my trips.
I like to overpack, obviously.
I like to bring as many outfits as I possibly can,
and they all fit within these two pieces of luggage.
If you want to check out any of the pieces,
I will have them linked in the description below.
I've been using Away for years,
so I definitely recommend them.
Not only are they extremely durable,
but you get so much space in there,
and they're all in their own little compartments,
and it's just so organized.
It looks classy and amazing when you're in the airport.
And it's just something that makes traveling
a lot easier and convenient.
All right, you guys.
Hope you enjoyed.
I'll be talking to you soon.
Bye.
