AI GeneratedThis tutorial provides step-by-step instructions on how to create an origami heart box from a square piece of paper. The guide covers the initial folding process, the construction of a basic square box, and the specific technique used to transform that box into a heart shape. It also suggests using a slightly larger piece of paper to create a matching lid.
Hello everybody, welcome to another video!
Today I'm going to show you how to make an origami heart box, just like this one.
For each box, you'll need a square of paper, it can be any type and size,
but if you want to make two to fit one inside the other, the top box has to be a little bit bigger.
If you still have any doubts, I left a detailed explanation in the description.
For the first box, I'll use a square of paper of 20 by 20 centimeters,
about 8 by 8 inches.
If yours has only one colored side, start with the white side facing up.
And our first step is to fold the paper in half, along both diagonals.
To do this, just bring one corner to the other, and crease sharply.
Now unfold, and fold the opposite diagonal, by bringing the other two corners together.
Let's unfold as before, and we have our X.
Now, still in that position, let's fold it in half, horizontally and vertically.
For the horizontal, we're going to bring the bottom side to the top,
and for the vertical, we're going to bring the right side to the left.
We have the initial marks.
From now on, a little attention.
Keeping the paper in this position, starting from the bottom,
let's fold the corner to the middle.
Having the paper folded, let's fold it once more.
This time, let's fold the edge to the middle.
Okay, on the top, we do the same thing.
First we fold the corner, and then fold the edge to the middle.
Let's unfold it completely, then rotate the paper,
and let's repeat the same with the other two corners.
As before, we'll start from the bottom side, by folding the corner to the middle,
and then we fold the edge to the middle as well.
The top side too, corner to the middle, and then the edge to the middle as well.
For the next step, we will hold the paper in this position,
open it up just a little bit,
and now we're going to have to close the top side, using this little diagonal here.
So, just close the paper to the side, like this, then the same on the left.
Now let's fold the extra paper over this, folding it inside the box.
Let's go to the other side, and repeat the same thing.
First we close the sides, using the small diagonals,
then we fold the remaining paper on top, fitting the corner inside the box.
So now we have a paper box.
We can reinforce it a little, making it more square, straighter.
Now that the box is stronger, we can go to the next step.
Pay close attention.
We'll have to invert one of the corners of the box, by pushing it inwards.
For that, we're going to go to the back side,
and when we push the corner inwards, we need to connect these two points here.
So, with one hand, we hold the paper closed, very tightly,
and then let's push the corner like this, crumpling the paper.
Then, let's reinforce mostly the line that I showed before,
connecting those two creases, those two points.
Let's fix it a little more at the end, making everything as straight as possible.
And we have our heart box.
If you still want to make another one, make a lid, just use a slightly larger paper.
In this example, I used a square one centimeter larger.
As you can see, it is enough to fit it perfectly.
Well, that's it.
