The process involves creating tight pigtails, integrating colorful synthetic hair into standard braids, and adding a detailed front accent braid to enhance the overall structure and visual appeal of the hairstyle.
Hi everyone, so I'm excited for this one. This is right up my street. We'll get back with
Festival Styles and I'm going to show you a really easy way to braid this hair and honestly
you'll be able to do it. Let's get started. First thing you want to do is divide this hair
into two, two pigtails. So just clipping one side out the way and then we're going to go for a
really snatched high ponytail here. So whatever product you like to use, I'm using a little bit
of wax spray but I'm also going to use a wax stick. So just work that hair all the way up
against the natural flow. You really want this to be nice and tight so it's not a loose pigtail at
all. So I'm just working a bit of wax stick into the hair. It's really going to make sure
that there's no flyaways. When you're happy you're just going to create that pigtail.
So repeat on the other side for me with all that product again, making sure they're nice and tight.
So I'm going to split one ponytail in two and just pull that bit of hair out the way.
So we're just working with this piece of hair here and we're going to be using this synthetic
hair. So I've gone for it colourful, you can choose whatever you want. I'm going to break
the hair into three. We're going to take our piece of hair and put it underneath. So that side
goes with the right piece and this side goes with the left piece, like that. And then you're
literally just going to start a regular braid. So cross over the middle, cross over the middle,
cross over the middle. I'm going to go a couple more times. So again it's going to go around the
back. So that adds into the right section, that adds into the left section and simply start
braiding again. And I'm going to go about five more strands and then I'm just going to add in
one more time. Just trying to make sure that as I braid that colour is popping through. It gets
much easier because in a minute we run out of real hair and you're just braiding the synthetic hair.
So I've just popped an elastic in the end, you can go longer if you want to.
So then I'm just going to take these ends and just start feathering this down. I'm just going
to show you one more time how to start this. So you break the hair into three,
take your synthetic hair and place it underneath the middle strand and add it into the two outside
strands and then just simply start braiding. So left strand goes to the middle, right strand goes
to the middle, left strand goes to the middle, right strand goes to the middle. Then I'm going
to add another piece in because this one hasn't got any in yet. Again it just goes underneath,
so I'm adding it to that right strand, goes underneath the middle strand, adding it to the
left strand and just start braiding. So this bit is optional but I've just braided some hair here
and I'm going to just pin it into the back, right into that ponytail to secure it and then I'm just
going to wrap that around just to give, to cover up the elastic for one and just to add a bit more
structure to the top here. So this is optional because it is a bit fiddly but I just love this
look. So I'm going to take a section like this and place it underneath but then I'm going to divide
this very small front section into three. So one, two and three like so. You're then going to start
a braid but you need this little piece of hair to sit as high up as you can so let me just reposition
and go on my tippy toes and we're just going to start braiding. Now obviously that's got no colour
in yet but don't worry we're going to add to it so I'm going to go over, kind of locking this in
and over but now I'm going to take a little tiny bit out of there and add it into there,
re-hold, cross over, cross over, cross over and this section hasn't had any taken out of it yet
and that one's still quite thin so again I'm just going to take the tiniest bit
and just cross it over. You can just keep adding in as you go down to make sure that these three
sections are easy so if you feel like one's a bit fat one's a bit thin you can just do that
borrowing method. So I feel like this one's still a tiny bit thin so I'm just going to take a really
small amount which is really hard with my silly long nails today and just keep braiding down and
this is just going to add a really nice pop of colour to the front of the hair and I'm going to
make this quite nice and long again to sort of tie in with the rest of the style and now with the
magic of editing we're going to go all the way down and with the magic of editing there we have
the finished look. What do you think guys? I think you know it does take probably about 45 minutes to
do this. You could just do one braid instead of two, you could leave these bits out but I just
absolutely love this finished look. I think it's so cute for a festival.
Let me know in the comments what you guys think.
