We're out here at Simple Session 17.
The course is amazing this year.
I really like it.
I really like the little rail set up in the middle as well as the hubba section.
It's cool that the park and street disciplines are split up this year.
It kind of makes practice a little less hectic and it's just awesome to be out on the course
with all the homies.
I love this contest and I love being with everyone internationally and even my friends
from home.
The course this year is a lot better.
They split street and park into two different disciplines and I think it helped because
now the street obstacles are more concentrated in the middle while the jumping obstacles
are more around the park.
The boxing is good and the spine is amazing.
Eight foot spine.
I just hope other events take note and start making obstacles that big.
One of the guys that's riding really good is Maligno.
He's from Argentina slash Bolivia.
And it's crazy because I know he doesn't really ride many big ramps and he's here like airing
so high.
He's looking so clean so it's one of my favorites to come watch at this event for sure.
The first Simple Session I went to was, it must have been like 2002 or 2003 I think.
I heard about this contest from Zach Shaw, an old bird rider, and just said you need
to go to this contest.
There's so many girls.
So many hot girls everywhere.
And I was like, I was single at the time so I was like alright, that sounds good to me.
Well now that I'm married and the girl part doesn't matter, the thing that keeps me coming
back is I just like being part of the, I don't know, the progression, the energy here.
It's a really, really amazing contest and I don't know, I just feel like I get to see
people that I don't really normally get to see, you know, like all the street crews here,
all those guys.
And then you get to see like random people from like Russia and places that I don't really
get to go very often.
So like running into all those people and seeing what they have to offer, it's always
really exciting to me.
