#Funk Me Right Tonight – 1980s Funk

Came through the door past midnight
Lights low, you already in bed
Tried to pull you to the floor
But you just shook your pretty head
Said “Boy you smell like the club
And your eyes are red as the dawn”
I said “Baby I just wanna move with you
Been feelin’ that groove all night long”
Don’t leave me hanging, don’t turn away
I got that rhythm ready to play
Give it to me, baby
Give it to me, baby
Funk me right tonight
Give it to me, baby
I bet we’ll bounce till morning
Under the neon light
Give me that sweet, that thick, that funky stuff
Say what?
Give me that sweet, that thick, that funky stuff
Was up on the floor till the speakers blew
Sweat dripping, body moving free
You said “Come on home, the night is through”
But that’s when the bass still hits me
How you gonna sit still
When the groove won’t quit?
Just wait till I drop that beat
Watch how the room gets lit
Don’t leave me hanging, don’t turn away
I got that rhythm ready to play
Give it to me, baby
Give it to me, baby
Funk me right tonight
Give it to me, baby
I bet we’ll bounce till morning
Under the neon light
Give me that sweet, that thick, that funky stuff
Say what?
Give me that sweet, that thick, that funky stuff
Ooh girl, don’t make me beg
(Don’t make me beg)
I came home with the groove still in my leg
Clap your hands and feel that bass
We can take it slow or set this place on fire
Give it to me, baby (give it to me)
Give it to me, baby (right now)
Funk me right tonight
Give it to me, baby
We’ll keep the party rolling
Under the streetlight
Give me that sweet, that thick, that funky stuff
(Say what? Say what?)
Give me that sweet, that thick, that funky stuff
Yo… give it to me
Give it to me
Give it to me, baby
(That funky stuff…)
