Falun Gong Shines Again at U.S. Independence Day Parade in D.C.
On July 4, 2025, Washington, D.C. hosted its grand Independence Day Parade. Falun Gong practitioners once again stood out with their colorful presence — including the Tian Guo Marching Band. Their message of "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance" resonated with spectators and brought a unique cultural touch to America’s birthday celebration. #4thofjuly
The Falun Dafa group is representing the Tian Guo marching band from New York City.
The first Tian Guo band was formed in New York City in 2005, shortly after branches formed in
Western USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Taiwan, and even Europe. The band from New
York brings together 160 volunteers who all share in and draw inspiration from the practice of
Falun Gong. Although members are ethnically and culturally diverse, the majority of performers
are Chinese. The band is performed at both stage and marching performances, including parades,
ethnic community events, and holiday festivities. It is enthusiastic to welcome Falun and its return.
