Hello everyone and welcome back to my channel ! Today in this video I am going to show you some more of my Italian life and culinary habits. This video is all about some of my favorite things to eat when I go back to Milan. There is so much to see and try that sometimes it can be hard to incorporate and I think it will take me years to try every single spot that Milan has to offer.
In this video I went for breakfast at L'Ile Doulce which is a little cafe located in Via Luigi Porro Lambertenghi 15 and that is the place I got my mascarpone and fig puff pastry.
Then for the Maritozzo I got the eggnog one from Iginio Massari in Piazza Duomo and it was about 7 euros but very filling even for 2 people to share.
Lastly I had breakfast at one of the best places for croissants especially vanilla cream ones, it is called Pave and they have different branches but the one I go to is in Via Felice Casati 27. Thank you for watching this video !
since I didn't really think about it
but anyways, I went to the city center, to Uomo
and had a little walk there, tried to explore a little bit
and I saw this really nice antique shop
which I'm gonna try to give you the location of
it was nothing particular but it was really cute
so if you are into vintage and all of that
there were a few things that I loved there
and then I went to get a little pastry for tonight
because obviously we are going to my nonna's
and we're gonna have mussels with pasta
so I thought might as well get some dessert
and then I decided to pick up a little food
that if you're coming to Milan then you should definitely buy
so I remember the first time I had this
was when I was in elementary school
and we went on a field trip to this place in the dark
where you don't see anything
and you kind of just learn how to walk, listen to each in the dark
I mean it's an experience which is called
I actually don't remember
but if I find it I'm gonna put it down below
because I know it's still open so you can still do it
it's quite interesting
I mean I started when I was 10 years old
I think 9 years old
so I'm 25 now
but yeah it's interesting I suppose
if you have kids as well
unless they don't like the dark
and so basically you know in Milan you have a love choice
now it's a big city and there's too much to eat
so every time I come here I try to have something new
sometimes it's quite hard
because I'm not here for a very long time
and I want to have things I usually would get, I like
but I am trying
and I do really want to have everything that they have to offer
and it's really hard when there's always something new constantly coming up
but it's something that I want to start doing
and start to make a little list
so one thing that every person should have
is definitely panzerotto
which is some sort of fried...
I don't even know how to explain it
but it's basically fried like pizza
like calzone kind of thing
and you can have what you want to have inside
like I got the one with mozzarella and tomato
but you can have it with prosciutto, with salami
anything, anything
and it's not expensive
so that's the thing about going to the Duomo
everything can be extremely expensive
now I never really eat in any of those places that you see
like those cafes that just face the Duomo
because I know they're expensive and they're not that great
it really, you really have to be picky
they will charge you a lot
because it's a touristy area and the food is not great
so I always stay clear of those
the ones with the seats outside
just outside, just right outside the Duomo
I wouldn't, personally I wouldn't
but if I'm gonna try once in a lifetime, why not?
but if you go in Duomo
there is this place slightly hidden
and I'm gonna give you the name and the street
it's called Luini
it's very small
it's sort of a bakery
they have sweet things
but they also have like savory things
so what I always go for is this panzerotto
this is it
and basically you can have a fry
which is what I go for
it just has a different taste
or you can go with the bacon
which I suppose is healthier
I think both of them are extremely good
I like both of them
and it's not that expensive
I think I saw it
I'm not sure how much I paid
because I don't remember
but it's 4 euros, 3 euros
very, very cheap
and it's quite filling as well
because it's fried, you got cheese, you got dough
so if you wanna have lunch or a snack or anything
this is the place you wanna go in Duomo
don't waste your money on useless
don't waste your money with all these cafes
that are overcharging for a panino
which is, I mean you can go to the supermarket
and make it yourself
and it just tastes so much better
just try and do a bit of research
so you don't waste money
but if you wanna spend money
think outside
you go to places that are actually high quality
so this one definitely I suggest
only Italians will go there
so I'm Italian as an Italian
I went there as a kid
I'm going now
definitely go
and that's how it looks like
it looks small
but I'm telling you
it's quite filling
and it's just really good
10 out of 10
it's really good
I'm gonna try this one
no, no, no, not that one
that one is good
you?
no, not me, thanks
