Okay, so in this review, we're going to figure out how to create a GIF within a design.
So we know that we want to catch attention and draw people to what's going on.
In this case, it's 15% off now, 30% off later.
So one of the ways that we could do this is by having outlines.
Another way is by doing additional bold.
So I basically create a GIF of the specific thing that I want to turn into a GIF and make
sure that your naming convention makes sense.
So let's call this one 15 off now underscore one.
And then we'll call this one 15 off now underscore two.
Makes it easier for you to keep track of what's going on.
And we want to draw attention to the 30% off later.
So we can just make that bold.
And now we have one and two, and we could turn it into an endless loop.
We could also draw attention to the call to action itself.
So just sticking with the brand guidelines, we'll add in another yellow,
which is this guy right here, and increase the width.
And that way, when it cycles between these two, the 30% off is going to be blinking as
well, the yellow border.
So go ahead and export these two.
And then you're going to go into a site called easygif.com.
And you're going to go into GIF maker.
So from there, you choose the files that you have.
I've ended up saving 15 off now.
This is where the naming convention comes in handy.
Upload and make a GIF.
Just make sure also that the images that you're uploading are optimized.
I know that these images are sized correctly, but optimize them.
And if you need to optimize them, go through squish.app.
And that's on a per image basis.
Here, delay time, I typically go anywhere between 55 and 75.
75 just so that we're not inducing someone to have a seizure.
Otherwise, really fast can be a little bit too aggressive.
And now you see what happens.
So 231, we could optimize that.
Ideally for every email, we're reducing the footprint that we have.
And I'm sure that we cover this in other videos.
But the more you optimize, the more grainy it's going to get.
I think that this one is not too grainy to the extent that it creates issues.
And we're down to 110 kilobytes.
So overall, I would say that that's good.
Typically, you're looking for something that isn't going to be anything more than
half a meg.
But ideally, you're within 100 to 150 kilobytes.
So we'll just replace this.
But first things first, naming conventions, still super important.
Focusing on exactly what we have going on here.
Let me see what it is.
There it is.
Rename this.
15 off.
Now, perfect.
Now we're just going to load this into, oops.
Into Kuavio.
