Video Summary
AI GeneratedThe presenter reviews two types of pre-packaged egg products from Tesco by the brand \"Two Chicks\": cheese, spinach, and red pepper omelettes, and cheese, tomato, and basil egg white bites. While he finds them tasty and convenient for gym-goers, he criticizes the high price point compared to making eggs at home.
How we all doing out there? I hope you're all absolutely spot-on.
Now eggs are eggs, aren't they? Or are they? I've been shopping to Tesco. Come and have a look
what I've got. Yeah, Sydney's in Tesco. They are new. They are new. They're new apparently.
Two chicks. Effortless protein. 11 grams per serving and that one's 15 grams per serving.
This is a cheese, tomato and basil exceptional bite made with free-range egg white.
Ready to eat or heat. 50 grams bites two times. This one here is cheese, spinach and red pepper
exceptional omelettes made with free-range eggs. Eat and eat. Two times 95 gram omelettes.
This is a first for me. I've never done anything like this before on the channel.
Many moons ago I did some poached eggs. Yeah and scrambled eggs when I first started.
If you want to check in the archives about five years ago and have a look at them. Anyway,
I've never seen anything like this before. So the prices. So the green box was three quid
and the red box was two pounds and 50 pence. £5.50. Oh how many eggs can you buy for that?
Just saying. Anyway let's have a look at the boxes. Right I'll get the old glasses on see
what I'm doing. They've got to be eaten by today so I better get eating them haven't I?
Got them the other day. So we've had a look at the front. Let's go around the back. So we've
got folded cheese and vegetable omelette. We've got some nutritional information there. You know
if you're into that. Folded free-range egg omelettes with cheddar cheese peppers and spinach
prepared using a pasteurized egg blend. There's the ingredients. Allergens are in bold. Free-range
eggs 68 percent. We've got mature cheddar cheese eight percent. Red peppers seven percent.
Spinach 3.5 percent. So you do them in the microwave. So let's open it up and we'll have
a quick quick butchers cook. There we are look that's what you get. Yeah three quid.
So this is a bit more flatter isn't it because it looks like they're exceptional bites.
So we'll go around the back. Then there's the two chicks. Our exceptional bites are high protein,
low carb and blood waver. Enjoy them for a quick breakfast or a snack on the go.
We set up FFE to inspire the next generation of female entrepreneurs.
More nutritional information there. Savory egg white snack with cheese marinated tomatoes
basil. Made with free-range eggs. There's the ingredients. In bold are the allergens. 100 grams
DE stamp there. Built sorry by women built.
Important all cooking appliances vary. These are guidelines.
Air fryer as well if you want. 170 degrees for six minutes. Do them in the oven. Do them in the
microwave. Made with free-range eggs. Ready to eat or heat. So I'm going to try. There's
two in there obviously I would imagine. I'll try one cold and I'll warm one up.
Right so you're going to remove all packaging. So let's do the seal filter.
10 out of 10. It's going to be a good sleep tonight that's for sure. So you've got to put
them on on a plate like that. Microwavable plate. There they are. I'll show you them.
Hello my name is Omelette. Stop playing with your food Morgan. Right just like that. I think
I'll just double check with it and I'll get them in the microwave. So these go in the microwave
just like that. Two and a half minutes and that's 800 watts. So it's very very my microwave is
ferocious. So I'll put it at two minutes ten because the last thing I did in microwave
it overdid it. I'm going to check it after two minutes and ten. Right let's get into these. The
old no steel peel test. It's the old one finger technique and I'm mastering the old one finger
pretty good. There they are look. Wow that's what you get look. £2.50. Yeah lousers right.
I'll have a look at the instructions and then you can eat. Well it says
it says ready to eat or heat. So oh there you go. It's in a serrated edge down there. So
I'm going to eat one cold. I'm going to warm the other one up. Right let's remove. You've
got to remove the plastic packaging. So let's let's see if this comes off all right.
Oh that is. Oh yeah. I will be sleeping tonight. So there it is. It reminds me of a Dairy Lee. You
know the Dairy Lee's when you used to get the cheese. You can still get them can't you. My
nippers used to love them. Yeah egg white. Yeah that's that's what it reminds you of. So I'm
going to put that on a plate. I'm going to eat that cold and the other one I'm going to warm up
one and a half minutes in the microwave. 800 watts. Right so these have had one minute and
10 in the microwave. What it is in mine it goes on a boost for a thousand watts to start with
and then it goes down to 800 watts. That's probably why. Have a look at this. It's piping
hot inside. There we are look. Oh yeah. Getting some healthy greens in me here. What's in this
cheese. Oh I do love cheese. I do love a cheese omelette. Spinach and red pepper. Yeah. For the
bodybuilders these. Right these are done. That that one's my cold one and this is the one I've
warmed up. So I'm just going to cut. I'm going to cut. I'll cut this one in half. I must admit
you can smell the basil in that. Very very nice smell. This is the cold one.
Yeah they're very very bizarre these aren't they. Very very bizarre I suppose. It's convenience.
It's more laziness. I must admit I do like to make a three egg omelette with a load and load
of cheese grated in. I do. And butter and some salt and pepper. Very very nice indeed. Right
let's go to the table and try them. Well thanks very much for joining me at the table.
Right I'll get into this one first because this was done in the microwave first. I mean
and that's that's warm and that's cold so I want to try this when it's warm. So yeah what we got
there we are there look. Um cheese spinach and red pepper. Sorry the steam coming off it still
look that's good. It's still hot. The spinach. I can smell it. Oh I can taste the spinach as well.
Um let me try one more. I'm picking the spinach up. No cheese. No red pepper.
And the egg is. All I'm getting is spinach. It's that green stuff. Um it does need seasoning for
me. It does need some salt and pepper. So if you notice the other. I had more before didn't I. My
wife has snaffled the others up. Left me with these. I took half and half so. Yeah. Um a bit
of pepper as well. I do need pepper on it. Bit of black pepper. I mean the red. It's not a lot
of red pepper in it. I've got a bit there but it's predominantly all. I'll pick it up. Smile now
Predominantly all um spinach. I'm trying to pick the cheese up. I never got any then.
Or then. I'm just getting like I said. I don't know how many times I've said it. Spinach.
£1.50 each. So three quid for the pack. How many omelettes could you make for that?
Right I'm going to try this one now.
So that one there. That one's cold. I'm going to try it cold. This is the life you are.
You've just nicked in the shop. You've got out of the gym. You've been training hard.
Got a big pump on. You know you feel the burn.
You go to the gym and you go into Tesco and you think oh I need to eat. I need to eat protein.
You pick these up. Get straight into them.
They're nice. Even cold. Picking up the basil.
They're tasty them ones. Not so much cheese. Hint of tomato but the basil. Basil? The basil is
Yeah. Let's try it warm.
That's better. I'm getting a little bit of cheese in there but not a lot.
Tomatoes there just for the show I think.
But the basil is a strong. Spinach there. That's green. That was strong.
They're two quid. They're £2.50 and three quid. That's right. Yeah. That's right.
These ones. Not my cup of tea. Sorry two chicks. Not my cup of tea.
I do like these though. They are tasty. £2.50. Tesco I would imagine you get them on a club card.
I've not looked. Maybe free range egg whites. Yeah. Feel the pump. Feel the burn.
Yeah. It's total convenience lazy food isn't it. This is the channel. This is the channel. I'm not
going to knock it. I'm not knocking it. The supermarkets and the people out there you know
putting themselves on the line to make these. I'll be reviewing them. That's for sure. That
yeah. So these are tasty. I'm going to mark them on taste. Forget about the money for now.
We can't really forget about the money can we because it's very very important.
Things are expensive. But they're tasty. It's a nice little tasty bite. I'm going to give them
a seven and a half out of ten for taste. But the price score low. As for them as well.
For taste I'm going five out of ten. Seven and a half and five out of ten for price.
Yeah. Five and a half quid on the eggs because you get them five and a half quid.
