Early Spring Gardening | Bouquet-Style Spring Planter & DIY Garden Arch

1. In our small home garden, we have a large crape myrtle and hydrangeas. Both are pruned in winter, and this year again I reused the crape myrtle branches to create a garden arch
2. I visited one of my favorite garden centers in Chiba Prefecture, the farm UNIVERSAL Chiba, for the first time in a while. There were so many beautiful spring flowers and lots of newly arrived garden goods 🧺
3. This time, I created a bouquet-style planter using beautiful spring flowers with their roots still attached. I enjoyed my “Witch’s Bouquet Planting,” a moss-free gathering style 🧙♀️Filling soil firmly between each plant feels just like making a ring basket, but in small pots, it’s a much more relaxed and enjoyable way to create arrangements 🪴

Today, Friday February 6th, the temperature in Chiba reached 16°C — it truly felt like spring. But a cold wave is expected this weekend, and the temperature changes this year have been surprising. Still, once it passes, spring will be right around the corner 🌸
I don’t like to rush the seasons, but placing small pots of spring flowers near the flower beds where spring blooms are still sleeping is one of my little joys — watching the garden and waiting for the season to awaken 😊
Can you hear the sound of spring in your garden yet?
Thank you always for watching 🫶
