DYING MY HAIR WITH NEW IGK HAIR COLOR KIT 😱

Hey guys, welcome back to my YouTube channel. If you're new here, I'm Jalissa. Today I am going to be dyeing my hair. I am very nervous. I haven't done this in like three years like on my own, but I have IGK's new color kit right here. I actually opened it already. I am going to be doing the hot chestnut color and isn't that brown just so beautiful? I think it's so nice and I don't know, maybe I'm just overreacting, but I don't love the highlights that I got. I mean, they looked really nice the first couple of days, but over time I felt like the more that I washed my hair, I mean, I knew this was going to happen, but my hair was getting a lot lighter and even more orangey, kind of like red. I don't know if you can tell, but it just looks very orangey for my liking. I'm going to divide my hair into four sections. So I'm going to do one part right in the middle like this and see when I put it in the middle, that's when you can really see the highlights. Just, I don't know, it just looks a little bit orangey for me. I guess just like over time it got like that because when I first got it, I really, really liked how it looked, but it was definitely more of like a brown tone. I wanted to do a review on this hair kit because I was searching for one on YouTube and I couldn't really find that many, so I wanted to film one and have it on here for you guys, you know, just in case if you guys were curious like me, this is new from IGK, their color kit. These are available at Ulta. Most Ultas around me, there's only like one that really has it, so I guess there's only like a couple of Ultas that really have it. My hair is very dirty. Do this on dirty hair. You don't have to do this on like freshly washed hair. I know that some people recommend doing it on pretty dirty hair because you are going to wash your hair anyways, and I heard that the color kind of locks in your hair a little bit better. This is very easy to use. It even has the steps, like this is number one and then this one's number two, the color, and so on. So yeah, it has the instructions. It's very self-explanatory, very easy to use. So I am going to put my gloves on and I'm just going to apply this. Actually, I'm going to apply it now without my gloves and then I'll put my gloves on to put the color. But yeah, so I'm just putting this around. I'm going to put some on my ear and then I'm going to do the same to the other side. The good thing is that I only got highlights, like I didn't dye all my hair and then did highlights, so hopefully I won't be like damaging my hair too much. I didn't bleach it either. That's something that I never wanted to do, so I never did that. But yeah, I guess we'll see how this looks. I don't know. I don't know, guys. We'll see. Wish me luck. Okay, so I think we're good. Now, I'm just gonna move on to the second step, which is the color. Okay, so step number two, squeeze the entire tube of color number two, rich cream pigment into the active three nourishing color developer bottle. Every drop counts. So we're gonna put all of this in here. This is the number three. This is the activate. So I'm just gonna put everything in here. I am so excited, but also I'm very nervous. But we got this. Make sure that you use a t-shirt that you are not going to use again, or you can just use a towel. But yeah, make sure you squeeze everything in there. I'm gonna put my gloves on because I'm gonna need them pretty soon. This also brings a mask that you can use right after you dye your hair, and I love IGK hair products. I love IGK hair masks, so you're getting some good stuff here. This only retails for $25, which is so good. It's so affordable. I mean, I know that there's other ones that are like 10 bucks at the drugstore, but IGK is IGK. IGK is a really, really good brand. Like, you really gotta shake this up. I just really, really like IGK hair products. I love their prepping sprays, their shampoo conditioner, dry shampoo. I mean, they literally have so many good products. They have really good hair masks too. It looks pretty brown, so I'm just gonna add it to my hair. Make sure you shake it very well because you want to make sure that you're using all the product super well. Okay, it's ready to go. So we're gonna start with the back, and we're just gonna do small sections. So I'm just gonna take a small section from the back, maybe about that much, and I'm just gonna clip it to the front and just start applying this to my hair. So we're gonna do the root first, and then just kind of bring it down like that, and then just use your fingers to saturate it. You literally have to saturate your hair with this just like that. So I'm just gonna keep doing that. I'm gonna use my comb just to really make sure I divide everything super well, and then I'm just clipping my hair. I hope that this is enough because I do have a lot of hair, but my hair is a little bit shorter now, so it should be enough. You can also go like this to your ends, but at the end, I'm just gonna also do one last coat like on the ends. I'm just mainly focusing on the roots right now. Okay guys, I put all the hair dye on my hair, and let me just tell you, if you have a lot of hair and if your hair is long, you might need another one of these because I was so nervous at the end. I was like, oh my god, I am like pretty much done with this. I hope that I have enough for this section, which was my last section, and I had to open it and use my fingers to like get all the product out, but I think I should be good. I should be good. It was only a small section that I needed a little bit more of product for. I put a timer for 35 minutes, but for now, I'm going to use the number five, the step number five, which is erase, and just basically erase any of the mistakes, and I have a lot of hair dye on myself, so just making sure that I get rid of that. You see that? This gets rid of it right away. Don't forget this step because this can literally like dye your face. Basically, I just have to wait now, so this is a perfect time for you to clean up your mess, and damn, I made a big mess. I hope that I have enough of this because I want to make sure that I don't get anything on there. I mean, I already have some, but I just want to get rid of it. You see that? I mean, I do have some makeup on, but yeah. Oh my god, and I already ran out of the number five erase product, so I'm screwed. There's no more left. I am going to use this product in the shower, the Treat product, which is a hair mask. I'm going to wash my hair first, get rid of all the product, all the hair dye, and then do this one, and then I'll be back with the for this to activate and sink in, and I hope that I have a nice brown chocolatey color. All right, guys, I'm back, and I actually really, really like the color. It looks so dark. I don't know. I think dark hair color is like my thing. I like it more, so yeah. So I'm going to use these two products to style my hair today. This is the Bumble and Bumble Curl Defining Cream, and this is the Bumble and Bumble Curl Mousse. So first time trying these, I'm just going to curl my hair. So I'm just going to use the defining cream first, and then the mousse, and then I'm going to diffuse my hair with my Dyson Supersonic. So I'm just going to add a little bit of this to my hair, maybe about that much. Wow, my hair looks black. It's like very, very dark. I think this is actually a little bit darker than my natural hair color now that I look at it. It'll probably look lighter once I dry it, but I actually don't mind like black hair on me. I actually dyed my hair black a very long time ago, but I didn't like it too much because it kind of looked a little bit blue. I'll try to find the picture, put it here somewhere, but this one definitely just looks like a dark brown, and I'm going to add the mousse. I kind of wanted to try something different and do highlights, do maybe like something lighter, but I don't know. Maybe just, I feel like it doesn't go with me. I don't know. Hey guys, so I already put all the product on my hair. It's ready to diffuse. So now I'm just going to use my Dyson Supersonic. I'm going to just dry my hair, and I'll be back with the final look. All right guys, so here's the final look. What do you guys think? I love it. I can even see the highlights still peeking through. In the beginning, I did want like lighter highlights, but now that I tried it, I kind of just wanted something a little bit more like this. Just like a lighter brown, and then the rest of my hair to be a little bit dark. So I am very happy with the final look. I love how my curls turned out.
