DWTS's Witney Carson & Her Husband Carson on Their 15-Year Love Story, From Junior High to Marriage

Witney Carson and Carson McAllister are looking back on their 15-year love story, from an elaborate high school dating strategy to marriage and raising two sons together. Carson says he fell for the 'Dancing with the Stars' pro in junior high, years before she knew who he was, and eventually resorted to dating her friends to get her attention. Once they finally got together, their first date was nearly derailed when a romantic night in the mountains ended with their car stuck in a ravine. Carson impressed Witney by getting them out and, as she jokes, “We trauma bonded after that day.”

Witney went on to make the first move with both their first kiss and first “I love you,” and their story continued through major milestones, including Carson's two-year LDS mission in Romania, his surprise Manhattan Beach proposal and their Utah wedding, where the professional dancer convinced her decidedly non-dancer husband to perform in front of their family and friends. Now, with two young boys and expecting their third child, the high school sweethearts share how they stay connected through busy careers, parenthood and everyday chaos. “I always say the marriage shouldn’t be hard. Life is hard,” Witney says of facing it all together.
