Duotone EVO SLS Review by Reno Romeu

Welcome everybody to another episode of my youtube channel. Today i'm gonna be doing the review of the brand new Evo SLS from Duotone. This kite is amazing, a game changer. I have been kiting with this kite already for more than five months and this kite just came out on the market. This kite has a new material and i'm gonna tell you if this kite works for you or not, but probably works. So before that i'm gonna ask you to subscribe to my channel. Also you can ask me on the comments everything you want, any other doubts you have about this kite because for sure i'm gonna forget something. It's a lot of details, this kite is completely different from anything else and yeah let's pump this kite up. Before i pump the brand new Evo SLS from Duotone kiteboarding you already can notice how small you can pack this kite because of the new material and also it's really lighter. So this is already a very good benefit starting because you take way less space put in your bags if you want to travel and also you carry way less weight so you don't need to pay that extra excess back. With this kite you can go to the water with way less wind than you would do normally. This kite is 15% lighter due to the new material because the material is lighter so the kite can fly with way less wind than you normally would need it. This means you have also a better range so you need less kite to give you a nice quiver to kite with all the kind of wind you want to have. Duotone replaced the normal Dacron from the leading edge and the central strut to the new material called Pentatex and you're gonna think okay but if this material is lighter it's gonna be weaker but actually it's not. The new material is even stronger than the normal one and literally it's gonna blow your mind. When you're gonna go kiting with this kite in really light wind it's something from another world you know. I normally use very big kites because I wanted to jump really high but now I only use my new Evo SLS 12 meter. It's really really nice because it makes you able to go in any kind of wind pretty much. I only have been using my 9 and 12 with any kind of wind. The best kite to do loops is the Dice but the Evo would be the second one from all the kites from Duotone so it's also very nice. If you are a customer that you like only to enjoy you know a normal kind of day a ride going right and left and you want to have a really light bar pressure on your bar so this is gonna keep you riding for a long time on the water you're not gonna feel so tired your arms not gonna get so tired. This kite's really nice the bar pressure is really light the kite's way faster than the normal ones. You're kiting with a 12 and feels like you're kiting with a 10 and with the 9 you feel even less. We also have the flex struts the kite flex and adapt to the wind you know because every time the wind is passing but the kite is different so with the strut adapting to the wind it makes you have a continuous power so you're not gonna feel the gust going more or less you're gonna have a more continued power on your kite do it to the flex strut so this is also very nice this kite also is coming with the thinner riders that it makes way less friction in the air also the jump ability of this kite it's amazing due to the kite is lighter you fly a lot in really light wind and when the wind's cranking with the right ability you can fly like as same as the Rebel for example it's a different feeling for sure when you go to the water you're gonna have to adapt a bit because the new material makes a lot of difference when you're kiting but i tell you this kite flies a lot it has a really nice hang time it's a really nice kite for you if you want to improve in your jumps and you want to have more hang time to do the extra spin or if you want to make your board off easier you know it's really good for beginners as well because it's a very forgiven kite has a really easy relaunch from the water it's very resistant with the new material the main material of the kite is still the Trinity from all the other kites this kite comes with three settings it comes with the soft settings medium setting and hard setting as usual with all the kites if you like to have more bar pressure on your bar gives you a more feedback you know so you can feel more where the kite is so let's say if you're spinning and you cannot look to your kite so you're gonna know more where your kite is so if you want a really soft bar to make your loops you put in the soft setting because the kite's gonna move way quicker also if you're rave riding or going to downwind i suggest the soft setting a lot and everything in between you can use the medium setting of this kite and this kite i have to say it's the kite that fits most of the consumers it's a kite that goes more to people that just like more to enjoy their time in the water not doing something extreme it is a very extreme and sportive kite but i would say it's like a dice but it doesn't have as such a good characteristic for freestyle the dice is still better than the evo for freestyle but for example this kite it jumps way higher than the dice it does really good wave riding because it's really fast has a really good drift when you go for example in the downwinder this kite it's very good also because of the light bar pressure that i told about so i think this kite's gonna make a lot of people very happy especially putting everybody sooner on the water being able to put everybody kiting with less wind than normally we are used to it this kite is also very very nice for foiling because the kite moves way forward on the window so you have a way better angle to upwind also not just in the twin tip this kite works way more on the edge of the the window so you can go way more upwind than the dice for example some other kites that the aspect ratio it's not so high it comes in two colors white and pink and green and blue can't wait to everybody can try this kite out and let me know what you think because i really think this kite is gonna change the perspective of a lot of people because it did to me it's really nice to just go to the water with six knots on my foil and i don't need to care about the kite falling off the sky you can comment ask me what you guys wanted to know and also please let me know in the comments which kind of gear you guys wanted me to do the review i hope you guys get the chance to try this kite soon and see you in the next one
