Who is the greater Manchester United legend?
If you had the opportunity to decide between Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney
as to who is a greater Manchester United legend, who would you choose?
Sounds like a tough question, right? Of course,
a Ronaldo vs Rooney poll would definitely divide the entire Manchester United fanbase.
While both players enjoyed some memorable relationships as teammates at Old Trafford,
there seems to be a rift between Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney in recent years.
The most recent incident to point out that both players aren't in each other's good books
has to be the internet-breaking Piers Morgan interview with Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Portuguese veteran didn't hold back in his chats with Piers Morgan,
as he spoke on several topics which involved Manchester United, Eric Ten Hag,
rival Lionel Messi and, of course, former Red Devils teammate Wayne Rooney.
Speaking about the ex-England international, Ronaldo said,
I don't know why he criticizes me badly. Probably because he finished his career
and I'm still playing at a high level. I'm not gonna say that I'm looking better than him,
which is true. Well, you might be wondering, how will Rooney feel when he hears what his
ex-teammate Ronaldo has said about him in that interview? Did he take it lightly?
Well, Rooney also responded in a more soft manner. In his words, he said,
Ronaldo is a fantastic player. Him and Messi are probably the two best players to play the game.
It's not criticism. What I've said is, age comes to all of us. Ronaldo is finding it hard
to deal with that. Rooney also went a bit further when asked to choose who starts, who gets benched
and who gets sold between Lewandowski, Messi and Ronaldo. He replied, I would start Messi,
bench Lewandowski. And, of course, you know who he was gonna sell, right? Ronaldo.
Well, this video isn't necessarily going to settle the differences between Cristiano Ronaldo
and Wayne Rooney, but to compare both players' achievements and decide who is a greater
Manchester United legend. So, if you're with me, let's go.
