Communities in southern Minnesota are digging out

Now that our snow is done communities across southern Minnesota are digging out and dealing with the snow.

snowblower.
This was the first time a lot
of us in the southeast metro
had to dust off the shovel or
snowblower as Adam Duxter found
this cold snap is really a snap
back to reality.
Shoveling and shivering.
The familiar sounds of winter.
Not necessarily music for Mike
Hill.
I don't like it.
I could have held off until me.
It's been very nice.
I really liked it.
But yeah, I don't snowmobile
anymore or anything, so I don't
need this.
As his entire family is
preparing for the winter,
Adam Duxter is still in the
snow.
He's been working on his
snowmobile for a while now.
He's been working on his
snowmobile for a while now.
He's been working on his
snowmobile for a while now.
It's a great idea.
I've been paying attention to
my snowmobile for a while now,
and I think the snowmobile
is going to make a huge impact
on Adam's tomorrow.
I don't need this.
As his entire street in Red
Wing digs out, it's digging up
the memory of what winter
should and does feel like.
I love Minnesota, and I love
the snow, but I don't miss
shoveling at all.
The older I get, the less I
want to do it.
And regardless of age.
Just preparing her for what's
ahead.
It's all hands on deck.
I feel like we're always going
the road.
It's a little bit of a
challenge.
But it's a good thing.
It's a good thing.
Better learn now than later.
And maybe it's a good thing
there's not too much to
shovel because what you
can't see is how cold it is
outside.
We're talking the kind of
cold that hurts your face,
even with hat, gloves,
mittens, the works, you
name it.
The kind of cold that's
best enjoyed inside on a
day like today.
Out here the roads are
treacherous and the
crossways need clearing.
And like a hasty scam
from a shady salesman,
Mike knew deep down any
promise shoveling would
not come this year would
it be true?
Hopeful.
Yeah.
I was very hopeful.
I thought possibly I
wouldn't have to touch a
snowblower.
But oh, well, you live
in Minnesota, so you get
to do this.
