will have Blues fans absolutely fired up heading into game one as we break down everything you need
to know surrounding this team with a new prospect set to make his debut plus so much more in this
episode you're not gonna want to miss it but hey before we get into I just want to give a huge

you get free updates around the team every single day heading into a very very exciting season so
Darius let's just go straight into the updates we're the first one let's be honest is not an
exciting update but we will get into a prospect update that has fans fired up but the St. Louis
Blues announced that Tyler Tucker underwent a successful surgery and he's out and evaluated
in six weeks now of course with Tucker we've seen some of these moves and of course Logan May you
going out with an injury the bugs already hit the team knock on wood it doesn't continue but Darius
what is your thoughts because with Tucker we've seen him banged up it was deemed week to week
he got the second opinion which led to a procedure and what is your thoughts on not only this
but a recent acquisition this team made yeah and when you look at this obviously not a great
update we were assuming that Tyler Tucker was going to be around and in and out of the lineup
as an extra defenseman this year because they did shore up the defense a little bit but ultimately
you know like you mentioned he went out got the second opinion we did know on September 20th he
did get hurt in the practice uh it was you know said that he was going to be week to week like
you said and you know a lot of fans and a lot of media members were just expecting him back and
he'd be out and it wasn't going to be a major thing but unfortunately had to get surgery and
now he's only going to be re-evaluated in a month and a half but that opens up a very interesting
door for another player in Adam Juracek who looks like according to all reports and Jim Montgomery
a little bit himself although he's not going to tell you straight up will be making his NHL debut
tomorrow night when the St. Louis Blues play the Dallas Stars in Dallas to open up their season so
sounds very much and this is from Lou and obviously we love Lou here on the channel
he's right on with his sources sounds like Adam Juracek will be in the opening night lineup for
the St. Louis Blues making his NHL debut and according to Jim Montgomery he's going to play
the power play he's special offensively and much more you know he was talking about him on a podcast
as well and he said I don't want to put too uh or put any labels on him excuse me because of the
undue pressure but I think this ceiling is very high and I hope to see it as soon as possible
well he's going to get a good look very very quickly because he's making his NHL debut and
this is good news for the player maybe he's not necessarily ready yet but you know it's um
throwing him right into the fire and sometimes that can be a good thing some we'll see how he
kind of you know does with this because there's a lot of new blues keep this in mind too short
training camp the team looks very different heading into this year there could be a lot of
growing pains in this first game against a very good Dallas Stars team so let's not you know
overreact too much too soon to how he's going to perform but he's playing in a bit of a sheltered
role and he's going to be playing on the power play like he said so I think that's really exciting
for Adam Juracek and for all fans to kind of get a look at Adam Juracek and what he can do very early
one of my favorite things with that defense as well of course you're getting so much of the young
bloods into this you're getting Adam Juracek Theo Lind's team we're getting the future which is now
with this blues team with so many young guys getting promoted making the push making this
new movement but Darius I love the fact that it's very much a young defender with a veteran guy
right next to him that's going to help work on their game build their game and of course
fill some of the flaws that we're going to see from young players that as they push through
but it's not only Adam Juracek that joined this team of course you have more defensive depth to
add of course Justin Barron who spoke and he said I was hoping I would get picked up luckily I ended
up here and excited for the opportunity now of course he will not get into the game as we're
seeing Adam Juracek slide into this but even Barron a defender joining this team it shows you
the depth they have where you have guys go down Logan Mayhew went down Tucker went down you have
a young guy in the weeds making the push I mean dominant in the OHL 59 points over 55 games in
the world junior scoring the between the leg goals which we don't shut up about because players don't
do that especially as defensemen this is the team that is truly building something special and like
you said if they lose game one don't overreact because you're going into the season starting 0
and 1 this is an 84 game season it doesn't even sound right saying it that way but this is a team
that now has that youth movement and it starts with guys like Linting who we've seen players
making their debuts and Adam Juracek where he gets comparison to Kael McCarrick Quinn Hughes
the hype is here the hockey world knows the St. Louis Blues are building something and Darius
it starts with these young guys but I kind of want your thoughts on this as well of course
with Adam Juracek coming in we hope he scores a goal a highlight goal puts up 10 points in game
one but realistically what is your thoughts on Adam Juracek coming in and do you think there's a
world where he plays well enough over the stretch of games while he's in here that we see Jim
Montgomery say hey we got to make a decision because that guy's not going back I actually
think he's going to be acclimated to the NHL level fairly quickly and now I'm not going to overreact
if he doesn't put up a point or if he gets burned for a goal tomorrow night it's the first game of
the season in his first NHL game but he did spend some time and went pro last year with the
Springfield Thunderbirds so he has that already in his you know back pocket where that did happen
there's a lot of players that go straight from the OHL into the AHL or sorry the NHL and there's a
bit of a learning curve there's a bit of an adjustment period but he did play six games in
the playoffs for Springfield last year so he does have some pro experience you know the fast pace
he was jumping right into the playoffs as well so I feel like he is going to be able to get going
very quickly here now the comparisons to Kael McCarr and you know Hughes and all that type of
stuff like let's pump the brakes a little bit on that we have no idea who he's going to be he's
going to be his own player so just because he's not Kael McCarr when he hits the ice tomorrow
don't dump on the kid and say that he's going to be a bust or anything like that he's going to be
a great player and we've hyped him up a lot here on the channel he's going to be great but I think
that it could start uh possibly a little bit slow for him in the first game but I think he's going
to be able to get up to speed very very quickly here because of while it was a small sample size
his experience in the AHL last year so ultimately we'll see what happens but Mark this article from
Mike as well previewing what we're about to see and it truly is a new era of Blues hockey you have
a new general manager a new coaching staff outside of Jim Montgomery who was able to finally pick his
own coaching staff for the first time in his NHL coaching career you have a new captain you have a
new second line center you have or two second line centers technically swapping in and out
you have new role players you have a new defense core to a degree even with Theo Lindstein coming
up it is a new Blues team so with that I do want to ask you Mark and all the people down below
watching the video commenting on the video let's get into some expectations maybe some
predictions a little bit because I'm gonna go it's been a hot topic of conversation on social
I'm gonna go out and say that the Blues actually will make the playoffs this year now I don't think
it's in a central division spot but I do think they are good enough in this Western Conference
with the changes that they've made to make the playoffs as a wild card Mark I don't know if you
feel any differently if you got any crazy hot takes out there but I think that one other guy
that we're going to see that's going to really surprise this year even more so than we've already
heard is Theo Lindstein and I think this is a team that's destined for something special it's a young
team making the push the veterans have made it clear they didn't like the way the season ended
or of course you're on a hot streak but of course you missed the playoffs but I do think this is a
team that's going to make it into the playoffs I think they can genuinely steal a round and I wanted
to dive back where you said don't compare him to Cael McCarr and Quinn Hughes yes I agree because
this guy's better it's disrespectful to even compare those two to Adam Juracek let us know
your thoughts down in the comments totally joking before you guys roast me or am I let me know your
thoughts down in the comments on everything to do around this team do they win game one who scores
the first goal I think it's going to be Adam Juracek making a major statement and again not
trying to get my expectations up just getting everyone hyped up I've been your host Mark
Fly with my co-host Darius and take care blues fans
