Video Summary
AI GeneratedThe creator demonstrates a \"full glam\" drugstore makeup look inspired by Kylie Jenner, aiming for a \"sexy baddie\" aesthetic. The tutorial blends affordable product recommendations and \"dupes\" for high-end brands with personal skincare insights, resulting in a soft, bronzy, and long-wearing finish suitable for an evening event.
Hello guys, welcome back to my YouTube channel.
Today we're going to do an updated drugstore makeup tutorial.
I filmed one of these around about a year ago,
so I feel like enough time has passed now that we can do a little updated version.
And also my last one was a bit more of like a simple look.
I didn't really do much in terms of like eyeshadow and stuff.
So today I want to take it a little bit further and do like a full glam.
We'll do some eyeshadow.
I want like proper baddie vibes today.
I've got a little inspo pic as well because I was on Pinterest
and I seen this makeup on Kylie Jenner.
So this is like the exact vibes I'm going for.
I feel like it gives baddie without being like overly intense.
It's still like soft and bronzy, but it's just got that like sexy baddie vibe.
So let's recreate this with affordable makeup products.
Okay, I'm already looking at this photo
and realizing that I'm definitely not tan enough for this look right now.
So before I start, I'm just going to add like a little bit of tan to my chest area.
It's like a little tan spray.
So I'm just going to spray it on my chest and just buff that into my skin.
It just gives you like a little bit more color.
I wouldn't really put this in the affordable category.
So let's just pretend that I didn't use that.
But you can obviously do the same thing with literally any drugstore instant tan.
Okay, let me take these eye patches off.
And I'm going to do a little bit of skin prep.
I've already done like a milky toner.
I've had those eye patches on for a while.
So now I'm just going to go in with my biome hydrating serum and the rich cream.
Like always, this serum has like ran out.
There we go.
Also guys, I made a crazy skin discovery the other day.
So around a year ago, I literally just developed acne like out of thin air.
It was the weirdest thing ever.
My skin wasn't like really bad, but my skin was just in a constant breakout.
For like a year, there was never a time that there wasn't at least
like two to three spots on my face.
Anyway, I managed to get over it and I need to film like a skincare video just now
so I can like tell you everything that I've done.
So I ended up like stripping back all my skincare.
I stopped what I was using at the time and just started using really simple products.
And my skin has been perfect for like the last eight months.
And then like three days ago, I was just doing my nighttime skincare routine
and I randomly just decided to use my road like barrier cream.
And I love the way it looks on my skin.
Like it makes you really nice and glowy.
So I used it for like three days in a row.
And then I broke out for the first time in like eight months.
I don't know if you can see, it's kind of going away now.
But I had like a big under the skin lump.
I feel like it's not even actually come through yet.
Just like weird redness and like little bits of dry skin and like red spots and breakouts.
And I was like, oh my god, it was the road skincare this whole time.
If you go back in my tutorials, I used to use road to prep my skin every single time.
And that was when my skin was literally at its worst.
And I'm like scared to say that because I love road so, so much.
But there must just be something in it that like doesn't agree with my skin.
Also, that was kind of shocking.
And I feel like that can't just be a coincidence.
I think it has a lot of like shea butter in it or something.
So maybe my skin just doesn't like shea butter.
But I thought I would just update you with that discovery because yeah, I was so shocked.
Okay, now for the fun part.
I did a little all to order.
This isn't all new stuff.
I put all of like my old favorites in here as well.
So the majority of the stuff in here is already tried and tested.
But I thought it'd be fun to get some new stuff as well and kind of try that out as we go.
For my base, I'm going to use the Maybelline Superstay 24 hour skin tint.
I did use this one in my last tutorial but it's honestly just the best.
And I feel like I don't really try out nude base products all that much.
I kind of just like what I like and then stick to that.
So we're using it again and I'm just going to blend this out with a sponge.
Also, I used a little bit of a thicker moisturizer today
because this has more of like a satin matte finish.
So I like my skin to be really hydrated when I use this.
I'm glad that I put that tan on because this would not have matched me if I didn't.
A little bit on my forehead.
This is really nice because like I said, it's got like a satin matte finish.
But I feel like it's got like a pearlescence to it.
This just looks so good on the skin.
The formula is actually amazing and the coverage is literally perfect.
Like it's basically covered up all those blemishes that I was talking about.
Okay now I'm going to bronze and sculpt out my face with this cream bronzer from Number 7.
This is huge.
There's so much product in here.
I think it's meant to be a dupe for the Chanel bronzer.
And I also bought some Morphe brushes for this video.
I bought a travel set and then as soon as I placed the order,
I was like these are going to be like little short brushes aren't they?
And they are.
That's actually so cute.
I thought it was going to be like normal sized brushes just in like a little travel case.
But it is little short tiny brushes.
This one's actually a foundation brush.
This is M104.5.
I wonder if it's 0.5 because it's like half a brush.
Anyway, I usually prefer a little like angled brush to do my bronzer.
But I feel like this one's going to be good.
I'm just picking some up and I'm going to work it into the back of my hand a little bit.
I just like to get it like nice and into the brush.
And let's go in and pat this on.
Stunning.
It's nice and warm which I love.
I don't really live for like a cool toned bronzer or contour shade.
I'm just taking it under the cheekbone, a little bit on the temple here,
and like slightly up onto the forehead.
Just to warm up and sculpt the face.
And you can see how easily that blends.
Like it's just blending as I'm applying it.
I'm just going to run it a teeny bit underneath my jaw as well.
Delete that double chin.
It's actually so satisfying when you find the good drugstore products.
Because some of them you genuinely would never know that it's not a high-end product.
Like if someone gave this to me with no label on it, I would for sure think it was high-end.
Just like the way it applies, the way it blends, and like the shade and stuff.
Affordable makeup has honestly come so far since when I like first got into makeup.
There's so many products now that I feel like you genuinely couldn't tell the difference.
I'm just using the same bronzer to contour my nose.
I'm using it on another Morphe brush. It's the M303.5.
And I'm just really lightly tapping this along the sides of the bridge of my nose.
This is a little bit warm than I would usually use, but I feel like it's gonna be fine.
I'm pulling it up and into the brow here.
I'm starting to sculpt out my eye socket.
Okay, next up we've got cream blush.
And this is one of the new products that I bought.
So I've not actually tried this one yet, but I've heard so much about these online.
This is the e.l.f. Soft Glam Blush Stick.
And apparently...
Apparently everyone's saying that these are the drugstore dupes for the RØDE blush sticks.
I've seen a lot of side-by-side videos,
and it seems like a lot of the colours are very similar to the RØDE ones.
So I bought the shade Pink on it, which I think is probably meant to be a dupe for RØDE's Piggy.
And if you watch my tutorials, you know that the RØDE blushes are my absolute favourite.
I think I use these in literally every single video.
These are basically the only cream blushes that I use at this point.
So I'm really excited to try this e.l.f. one and see how they compare.
But this is a little colour comparison.
Let me hold them up close so you can see them.
I can already tell that the e.l.f. one is a lot warmer than the RØDE.
I'll do a little arm swatch as well.
That is Piggy, and this is e.l.f. Pink on it.
The e.l.f. one is definitely warmer and slightly more peachy.
Finish and formula does look quite similar, just based on the swatch alone.
But let's go in and see what it looks like on the skin.
I'm picking it up on this M204.5.
I don't want to go straight in with the stick on my face,
because I don't know if I trust it yet.
Let's see how it applies with this brush.
Okay, I love the colour.
Okay, that is very, very pretty.
I feel like it's also really similar to the colour in my inspo pick.
So that's great.
Maybe I'll go in and swipe a little bit on this cheek and see if it disrupts the makeup or not.
I feel like they're maybe slightly less pigmented than RØDE.
But that's not really a bad thing, in my opinion,
because you can still build it up really nicely.
That is super, super cute.
I feel like it's not an exact match to Piggy.
But I feel like overall, this is actually a really good dupe for the RØDE ones.
Yeah, love this.
I've actually got two concealers to choose between today.
This is the HMB Soft Focus Airbrush Concealer.
And then I also have the e.l.f. Hydrating Camo Concealer.
I used this HMB one for years.
This is what I used to use on all my clients back when I took makeup clients.
But then I also love this e.l.f. one because it is really nice and hydrating.
And I do get really dry around my eye area.
But I'm not sure if HMB is only UK based.
So it's maybe best if I use the e.l.f.
And that way, more people can actually get their hands on it.
If you want to, the shade might be too light.
So we might end up with really bright under eyes today.
It's really important, though, that if you have dry under eyes,
you get the hydrating version because they also have a normal version.
And that one does not work for me.
It's so drying.
It makes my under eyes look awful.
This one, this is a good one.
Again, I'm blending this out with a sponge.
Also, guys, let me know which background you prefer for these makeup videos
because I was filming over this side of my room,
like in front of my wardrobe, so that I could have just a blank wall behind me.
But I filmed my get ready with me with my desk in the background.
I was like, this actually looks quite cute as well.
I feel like this background feels a little bit more real and a little bit more girly.
But I'm not sure how it compares yet with lighting and stuff.
So please let me know.
I forgot how full coverage this concealer is.
I didn't even put that much, but I feel like I've maybe put too much.
A little bit goes a long way, apparently.
I'm just taking a little bit that's left on the sponge
and carving out my cheekbone kind of lightly.
I'm just going to have to keep blending and blending and try and blend this away.
Because right now, this is an intense bright under eye.
It looks good, but whoa, I'm lightly tapping over the nose contour
just to soften that out and blend it all in.
Then I'm going back in with my brushes that I use for my cream products
and just lightly tapping over to make sure everything's nice and blended.
And we have no harsh lines.
I want a nice, seamless blend underneath my eyes.
Wow, guys, this looks amazing so far.
And I'm really happy because I am actually going out tonight.
So for once, I'm actually wearing this makeup out of the house.
Okay, and now to set the face, I'm going to use the Maybelline Matte and Poreless Press Powder.
I love a press powder.
And again, this is one that I've used for years.
I also used to use this on all my clients.
And I already have this translucent shade.
But I remember that I used to use like one shade up from that.
So I bought it.
It's shade 110 Porcelain.
And I remember that that's definitely what I used to use.
But this looks so dark compared to the translucent.
This does not seem like a porcelain brightening shade.
So I'm kind of scared to use it.
But this one is like really, really brightening.
So I think what I'm going to try and do is mix them together.
But I'm not going to lie.
I'm a little bit nervous.
Just really don't remember that looking like that.
It's like a dark yellow colour.
It is in new packaging.
So I don't know if they've reformulated or something.
Okay, so I've dipped into this one first and then dipped into the translucent.
Okay, I'm just blending out in creases.
Then I'm taking that puff and just pressing it in.
Okay, that's actually perfect.
Thank god.
Set it on the other side.
I'm going to try the porcelain shade just on its own.
Like on my chin and see what it's like.
It's a little bit yellow.
So I feel like I'll stick to the translucent.
But I do like the mix underneath my eye.
I'm just going to take some on a powder brush.
This is a Peaches and Cream PC15.
And I'm just going to set the rest of my face kind of lightly with that.
This base looks so good.
I've just realised that I didn't get a drugstore powder bronzer.
And for some reason I can't even find one in my drawers.
Like surely I have an affordable powder bronzer somewhere.
But apparently I don't.
I've even lost the powder bronzer that I normally use.
So close your eyes.
Don't look at this.
I'm just going to quickly go over those areas with MAC's Give Me Sun.
For powder blush I'm going to use this one from Kiko.
This is from their collab with Just Cavalli.
I love the packaging.
It's so cute.
And I like a nice glowy blush.
This one's nice and like pearly.
Super cute.
It's in the shade 2.
And I'm going to use this on my Peaches and Cream PC03 brush.
And lightly blending that over where you put the cream blush.
Look how nice and glowy that is.
I love it.
I feel like a lot of people don't like like glowy blushes like this.
But I love that.
That's made me look like I've got highlighter on.
I feel like Kiko's a really nice like mid-range brand.
I probably wouldn't call it drugstore.
But the prices are way better than high-end products.
And they still feel nice and high-end.
Okay now I want to put some highlighter on.
And I picked up these.
I don't know if they're actually new.
But they're new to me.
But again another dupe from e.l.f.
These are meant to be a dupe for the Rare Beauty highlighters.
You can see they look quite similar to the Rare ones.
They're the same kind of like baked formula.
I got two different shades because I wasn't sure which one would match me.
I love the look of this one.
This is Prosecco Poppin.
But I wasn't sure if it's going to be too dark for me.
But I'm just going to try it out and see.
Also this other shade by the way is Soft Pearl Era.
I'm going to just try this Prosecco one and see what it's giving.
I'm taking it on a Morphe M510 brush.
Let's see.
Oh my god.
Wow on camera that looks really bright.
That's way brighter than how it looks in the pan.
Like I said I was scared that was going to be dark for me.
But whoa she is glowy.
This is the kind of highlighter formula.
Are we recording?
Yes.
Oh my god.
This is the kind of highlighter formula that I love.
Because it gives like a wet look to the skin.
It's not like powdery and like dry.
It genuinely makes your skin look like it's wet.
Whoa.
I will never not love a 2016 highlight.
I take a little bit on my finger and just pop it right here on the bridge of my nose.
And a little bit on the tip as well.
I'm going to end up putting this everywhere.
Amn't I?
A little bit on the brow bone.
Okay I don't have the Rare Beauty one to actually compare them.
But this is so so nice.
Okay I think we can leave the skin there for now.
And let's move on and do a little eye look.
It's been years since I purchased a Morphe palette.
And this is what they look like now.
I was like whoa.
Who is she?
I picked up a nice neutral one.
This one is called Flickering Sands.
And I feel like this has a really good colour story for what I'm after.
Then I also picked up the seven piece eye brush set from Morphe.
And these look perfect.
This is every eye brush that you'd need.
Okay so I'm first going to go in with this M333 brush.
And pick up this shade here.
It's called Rich Illusions.
Oh whoa.
Very powdery but I don't really mind that.
But that is like a lot that's just come out of the pan.
You're like such an old school YouTuber today.
Also this mirror is fabulous.
Okay before I actually go in with that eyeshadow,
I'm just putting whatever concealer's left.
And just patting that on my eyelid.
Starting on the outer corner here.
And then bringing it in through the crease.
And then I'm blending it out and connecting that in
with like the bronzer on my temple here.
I don't really like using a brand new brush.
It feels weird.
It's not seasoned.
It needs a little bit of something to it.
A dirty makeup brush just works 10 times better.
I feel like I never see people using Morphe palettes anymore.
But this is so good.
This is covered in fallout.
But the formula is really good.
It's blending out so easily.
Okay I've built it up a little bit.
I feel like this is looking good.
Next I'm picking up this shade underneath on an M331.
This is a little darker and a little bit more cool toned.
And I'm just going to start by pressing this onto the outer corner.
So I'm just laying the colour down.
I'm not actually blending it.
And then I'm slowly going to start to take this through the crease.
But I'm keeping it quite tight in the crease.
I don't want to blend it out too far.
I just want to make a nice shadow.
I'm just really, I'm just really taking my time
making sure this blends super seamlessly.
Then I'm going in with the brush that I used before
to just blend over the edges.
And now that everything's nice and blended through the crease
I'm taking that darker shade again and just lightly packing it
basically all over the lid.
And I'm just leaving out the inner third.
So we want this to be a little bit more of a smoky eye today.
But nothing too crazy.
Just like a light smoky eye.
And now I'm just going to repeat that on my lower lash line.
I'm using this little brush.
This is the Morphe M383.
And I'm actually going to go straight in with the darker of the two shades.
And run this all the way along.
Underneath my eye.
This brush is perfect.
It literally fits so neatly underneath my eye.
I'm taking it all the way along
but I want it to be darkest on this outer corner.
And then I'm just blending what's left into the inner corner here.
So it's a nice gradient.
I think I want to deepen up this outer corner just a teeny tiny bit more.
So I'm just going to take the same brush
and then dip into this dark brown over here.
Tapping off all the excess so I don't get any fallout.
And I'm just going to press this right here.
On the outer corner but really nice and close to the lash line.
Just want a little bit of like a smoky outer corner here.
And I'm like barely blending this out.
Like I'm just wiggling it back and forth.
I'm just keeping it exactly where I've put it.
I don't know if you can see the difference that's made.
But it's just giving this a little bit more drama.
And last but not least, I just want to brighten up my inner corner.
I'm going to take this light kind of peachy shade.
And then I think I might layer it with this shimmery shade here.
But I want to just first go in with the matte one to brighten it up.
And then once it's nice and bright, I'm going to take the shimmer.
And I'm just going to place that on top.
Just for a little bit extra something.
Okay now I'm just going to go in and curl my lashes.
Then I'm going in with my usual Maybelline Sky High mascara.
This is literally the best drugstore mascara.
If you like like a lengthening vibe, this is honestly unreal.
I'm also doing lower mascara today.
And I'm actually going to coat all of my lower lashes.
Usually I like to just do the outer third.
But in this inspo pic of Kylie, she has all of her lashes coated.
And it looks really nice.
So I'm going to try it.
I feel like this makes your eyes look a bit more round.
Whilst that dries, I'm going to move on to my brows.
And I'm first going in with the NYX brow glue.
I actually used to use this all the time.
Then I moved on to their more like dry formula.
I think it's called like the Thick It, Stick It brow gel or something.
And it's kind of got like fibres in it.
And recently I've been using the Rare Beauty one.
But I feel like this one's actually really similar to the Rare Beauty.
But this one's in the shade taupe.
But I feel like I used to use one that matched my brow pencil.
But I couldn't see it when I was ordering it.
So I just got this one.
But I feel like the one that I used to use was a bit warmer.
The only thing that I don't love about this one is that it kind of flakes off sometimes.
Like I'm just brushing down over areas that I've already went through.
And it's kind of like flaking off a little bit.
I don't love that.
But now that they've got a little bit more shape.
I'm going to go in with my micro brow pencil.
Which is also from NYX.
And I'm just going to fill in my brows.
If you want a more detailed explanation of how I do my brows.
Then go to my makeup for beginners video.
And I've timestamped it.
So you can literally skip straight to the brows part.
And I went in really in depth when I explained my brows in that video.
But I'm basically just filling in all the sparse bits.
And giving myself a nice little brow shape.
I feel like my brows aren't that even today.
But I also can't really be bothered trying to fix them.
And let's put some lashes on.
These are my lashes.
These are from Primark.
They're like four pound.
I think they might even be under four pounds.
I think the style is called natural.
They also have these in like a chocolate brown colour.
Which I also wear sometimes that are really nice.
They are a full lash though.
So I'm just going to go ahead.
And cut like half of it off.
These do come with their own lash glue.
But I'm still going to use my duo glue.
This is just the best lash glue.
And I never have any issues with it.
Actually I do have this exact issue.
That's so funny that that's just happened when I said that.
I don't know why they haven't changed the packaging for this.
Because it gets to a point when you've used this for like maybe a month.
Or like a few weeks.
Like it sticks to the stopper.
And then it pulls the stopper out.
There's no stopper on this anymore.
So if I wanted to I could just pour the glue out.
And now the stopper is like stuck in here.
And it happens every single time.
And then it starts getting really messy.
And then you can't shut it anymore.
And then glue is just pouring everywhere.
So actually I do have a really big problem with this.
It does cause me issues.
But the lash glue itself is fab.
And it works really well.
My lashes never fall off.
Okay I've just popped a little bit on.
I'm gonna stick her down.
These are so nice.
I can't believe that they're only like £4.
Like they are perfect.
Now I'm just gonna take my tweezers and give them a gentle little pinch.
Just to merge them in with my natural lashes.
I'm excited to do this lip combo today.
Because I ordered five shades of the new Morphe lip liners.
I might be wrong but I think they've re-released their lip liners.
And then also added some new shades.
So I'm not sure if they've been reformulated.
Or if it's just new packaging.
But I'm excited to try them.
I'm gonna try and swatch them all for you.
So the first one that I ordered is this shade Whipped.
That's this one here.
It's kind of like a mauvey red brown.
Then this one is Junior Sweet.
This is more of like a dark peachy nude.
Then we have Sweet Tea.
Is this the one that Tana Mongeau is obsessed with?
I think it might be.
This one looks really good.
It's like a medium warm brown.
Then we've got Spiffy.
This seems like the cool toned version.
Then lastly this is Brûlée.
This is like a dark chocolate brown.
Okay this is really not like me.
But I think I'm gonna go in with the cool toned one.
The shade Spiffy.
Just because I'm looking at this Kylie inspo
and I feel like it looks kind of similar to her lip liner.
But I don't know if I'm gonna love it on me.
But I feel like I just want to try it out and see.
Oh wait I really like that.
It's not like overly cool toned to the point where it's giving grey.
And I feel like a lot of cool toned lip liners just look grey on me.
Guys this genuinely might be my new favourite lip liner.
I'm actually gonna put some of this e.l.f blush in the centre of my lips.
And see if it gives like a nice kind of pinky lipstick vibe.
So I'm just picking it off my finger.
I maybe should have put some lip balm on because now my lips look dry.
Okay I'm actually taking a little brush instead.
This is easier.
I'm just blending that into the centre.
Guys I've kind of ate this makeup inspo I'm not gonna lie.
Her lipstick's a little bit lighter and a bit more cool toned but
but just working with the products that I've been using today
I feel like I've actually done that quite well.
She's got no gloss on and basically just has like a matte lip.
But I feel like I might add a little bit of gloss.
Wait guys I'm so torn on whether to put gloss on or not.
I feel like I like it without the gloss.
The one that I picked out for today was this one from Kiko.
It's the 3D Hydra Extreme Lip Gloss.
It's like a proper plumping gloss.
But I feel like this look doesn't need it.
And I feel like the matte lip just gives it a bit more of like a baddie vibe.
I don't think I've ever done a matte lip look on my channel.
So I think I might actually just leave it like this
because this actually looks really nice with no gloss.
But that was my gloss of choice for today if you wanted a recommendation anyway.
Okay so all that's left to do is set this in place.
I'm going to use two different setting sprays today
because like I said I am actually wearing this makeup out tonight.
It's ten past five and I'm not going out until half past eight.
So I need this makeup to last and look fresh when I get to my dinner.
So I'm first going to go in with the Morphe Continuous Setting Mist.
I've not used this in so long.
I feel like this was maybe the first like aerosol setting mist to come out
because I remember being obsessed with the fact that it was like a continuous spray.
So I'm going in with this one first.
Oh my god the smell.
That is so nostalgic.
And this is really just going to melt all those powders together.
Then I'm going with the L'Oreal Three Second Setting Mist
and this is what's actually going to keep the makeup in place.
Whoa!
That just sprayed out so weird.
That's never happened before.
That is genuine hairspray.
Okay guys this is the finished look.
I'm genuinely so happy with how this turned out.
This is exactly the vibe that I was going for.
This base looks flawless.
I love the eyes.
I love the lips.
I honestly just love everything about this makeup look.
I feel like it's giving like modern 2016 vibes if that makes any sense at all.
And yeah I'm so impressed with all the products.
The drugstore is really slaying these days.
But yeah I really hope you guys enjoyed this video.
It would mean a lot to me if you left a like and subscribe to my channel.
Thank you so so much for watching and I'll see you in the next one.
