AT-HOME SALON BLOWOUT - DOMINICAN STYLE 🇩🇴

Hey guys, welcome back to my YouTube channel. If you're new here, I'm Jalissa. Today I'm going to be doing something different that I have never done before. I'm going to be doing Rolos on myself and wish me luck because this process is so hard and time-consuming. So grab some popcorn and let's get right into the video. I have my secadora right here ready to go. I have all my rollers. So yeah, before I discovered the Revlon One Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer, I used to do Rolos on my hair. Well, my mom used to do the Rolos. And then I would be drying my hair in this hood for at least 45 minutes, maybe even an hour. And then I would have to straighten my hair. It was a big process. So I'm going to try to do it all by myself today. So wish me luck. So I'm going to use this new Olaplex No. 9. Just going to use a little bit for now. And let's see how this works. This is the first time trying the No. 9 as well, which is new. So I am going to link it below if you guys want to check it out. I love Olaplex products. I'm going to add a little tiny bit more. Hair is feeling amazing. I'm going to do kind of like a mohawk situation. I'm going to do maybe like two sections at the front and then I'll do the rest on the side. So I'm going to take this big roller, the three inch. I'm going to try to roll it as smooth as possible. So make sure that you detangle your hair very, very well. I'm just going to bring it up like this and use the clips to secure. Oh my God. This might be harder than I thought. Okay. So there's the first roller. Not too bad. Going to keep doing the rest of my hair, but I don't know. I think I'm going to go with the two inches. I feel like this is too big. The tricky thing about doing rollers is that sometimes the hair comes out from the sides. So I just think that that section was a little bit too big. So I'm going to divide it into two sections and I'm going to try that again, but I think I'd rather do the two inch rollers because I just feel like I'm going to get a nicer roller that way because I'm able to kind of control it better. Okay. We're getting somewhere. I don't know. We'll see how everything turns out, but so far I'm definitely liking the two inch rollers a lot more. So we're just going to keep using this size. I really appreciate my mom doing this for me back when we didn't know about the Revlon blow dryer, because this is how we used to do it like every single week. She used to do rollers on me like every single week and this is so much work. Okay. So we have one side done. I think the rollers don't look that great and sleek, but we're just going to go with it and hope that my hair dries super well. I'll be back once I'm done doing all of them, but yeah, it's definitely a lot of work. Okay guys, I'm back. It definitely took me some time to put all of these rollers on and I don't even think I did that great of a job if I'm being honest, because it's hard. I am going to put a timer for 45 minutes. So I'm going to get in this for 45 minutes and let's hope that it dries my hair super quickly. So I'm going to start the timer right now and good thing I have my acai bowl right here. Doesn't that look delicious? Oh my God. It's so good. It's an acai bowl with Nutella, granola, coconut flakes, strawberry, banana. Okay. Let's turn this on. Okay guys, I'm back. I literally dried my hair for an hour. Look at that. An hour. So I hope, I really hope that these are dry, even though I feel like they're not. I feel like that dryer isn't that powerful. So I have my Dyson supersonic here ready to go because I know that I am going to have to smooth out my hair a little bit with a blow dryer. Let's see if my hair is dry. I guess I'll do one of the top ones right here. I remember that's how they used to check at the beauty salon. They used to check the ones up here to see if they were dry. And then if they weren't dry, they would put you back into the secadora for like another 30 minutes. And it's just hard. It was, it was very, very hard to go through that every single week. So thank you Revlon and thank you Dyson and all these hair tool companies for coming out with really cool hair tools that just make this process a lot easier because it was hard to do this whole process and I'm still not done. So here's this section. So it's definitely dry, but as you can see, I still have some waves. So I would have to use something to straighten it. This one's like pretty wet. This one's very wet. So yeah, the sides didn't really dry that much. So that's like not dry to me. This one's not that dry either. I'm just putting a little bit of the Olaplex number seven, because this is going to also protect my hair from the heat since I am going to use some more heat now. But yeah, what do you guys think? I mean, it doesn't look, I will say it doesn't look bad. It definitely just looks a little bit, you know, like too big, but now we're just going to dry it and hopefully that's going to take us like 30 minutes to do. I love the Dyson brushes. These brushes are so good and they're very durable. So I'm going to just try to use maybe the bigger one first and then I'll try this one. Okay, so I'm just smoothing out my hair. Oh, this blow dryer is so powerful. It's crazy. Already it looks a lot more smooth. So here's what my hair looks like. I think it looks fine. It has a lot of volume, but I wasn't able to get my hair super sleek. Like I feel like I could get it even more sleek straight from wet hair if I just wanted to use Dyson supersonic on wet hair. That's something that I've done in the past. I feel like it looks a lot more smooth and yeah, I just, I don't know. I don't know if I would do this again just because it's such a long process, but it definitely works and I feel like I definitely have to practice on putting the rollers on. So yeah, but what do you guys think? This is the final look. I'm actually going to add a little tiny bit more of the Olaplex number seven oil to my hair because it's looking a little bit frizzy. So I just want to finish it off with the oil, but wow, this just gave me much more appreciation to the new hair tools that are out now.
