Video Summary
AI GeneratedThe speaker shares a glimpse of her daily life in South Korea while her partner, Chad, is away attending a class in Missouri. Despite the distance, she remains positive, spending her time catching up with friends, celebrating Nurses Week at her hospital, and managing her home routine while staying connected through technology.
You ready? Where are you going? Are you gonna be okay traveling by yourself?
He's a big boy now. He can travel. Tell me you're military without telling me you're military.
Are you gonna miss me?
Every time Chad and I travel together, he's just like, he complains a lot but he's just like,
okay, where to next? He is 100, 120 and over. I'm gonna go to concourse.
He don't remember anything. Good luck, baby. See you, baby. Bye.
Right now, I'm just getting ready to meet up with my friends, Joanna,
Marianne, and I hope Stephanie can make it also today. We are going for lunch. Actually,
we just had lunch, a quick lunch last month just to give her a personal bonus. This time,
we're going out to have lunch together.
I like something every day.
Chad was like, why don't you like eating, you know, the crusted rice? I'm like,
it's PTSD.
Get reprimanded for whatever it's before.
I say no recording, I'm recording.
She's in spirit.
It was warm yesterday and then this rain and the chilly weather today came out of nowhere.
I was just like, what's going on? In your area, is it bad or it's okay?
Fuji at all. So I would have to coming out on that. And then we went to the Lawson vegan store.
This place is pretty, actually. All the leaves right here are gonna be gonna turn red
in the fall. And I have this like, waterfalls right here too.
Anyway, today we are, I'm with my friends, Joanna and Marianne. We're here in Chonan.
Do it again.
Go!
And the long weeks begin. This is the first time Chad and I have been apart since we moved here
in South Korea. He's currently in Fort Leonard, Missouri, attending a class while life here
continues as usual for me. This week also happens to be Nurses Week at the hospital.
So it's been such a fun and meaningful time at work. I'm so grateful to be a nurse. It's truly
an incredible profession. We have celebration almost every day. And yes, plenty of food,
of course. Even though Chad is awake, I honestly don't feel lonely. I'm grateful that technology
makes it so easy for us to video call every night. It reminds me of how different things
are now compared to when he was deployed to Afghanistan. Being apart has also given me a
chance to catch up on house chores, spend quality time with friends, and focus on my own routine
for a little while. Two weeks will go by before we know it. And until then, this is just a little
glimpse into my everyday life here in Korea, while we wait to be together again.
Oh, look at this! Oh my god, this is so cute!
