#AnneHathaway#Actor HollyWood #hollywood Anne Hathaway is setting the record straight! After the actress poked fun at herself for wearing a backwards jumpsuit in a now-viral Instagram post, she explained to Access Hollywood’s Scott Evans how she found herself in that situation during the world premiere of “The Odyssey” on Monday, July 6. “It was a total fluke for me. I just apparently didn’t look at the reference image closely enough, but I walked out with the confidence of someone who chooses to wear her dress backwards,” she shared, before adding, “No, but actually I've heard from other pregnant women that a great maternity hack is if you have to go to an event, you get a dress that has a train and then you wear it backwards. And then the train accommodates for the bump, so maybe I heard that and it just got in there somehow.” Plus, Access chatted with the more of the blockbuster’s stars including Zendaya, Tom Holland, Matt Damon, and Lupita Nyong'o. "The Odyssey" hits theaters July 17.

Cast and guests gather in London's Leicester Square for the world premiere of *The Odyssey*. The event highlights the film's technical achievement as a full IMAX production, the emotional journeys of the actors, and the high-fashion spectacle of the red carpet, all set against the vibrant backdrop of a culturally active London season.
Hello my friend! How are you doing?
I thought you were going for the hand.
The hand? The dab? I'll dab you up!
But we're hugging.
We are hugging.
Especially after yesterday.
That was such a great conversation.
I felt like we bonded a little.
I felt like we did too.
You look fantastic. The blue is a beautiful color.
Also the odyssey. The ocean.
The blue carpet.
Talk to me about how you wanted to feel today.
Oh my gosh.
Well, I didn't know what the weather was going to be.
Same girl. Same.
It was kind of going from hot to hotter to hottest.
I was like, I just want something that's going to move with the breeze.
Please let there be a breeze.
And I was so lucky that Jonathan Anderson at Dior held this dress for me.
It walked in the show a couple shows back.
It's incredible.
And he said, sure, it's yours for the odyssey.
You look fantastic in it.
And these earrings I'm dying over.
Oh my gosh.
They're so pretty.
Which was first, the dress or the earring?
The dress was first.
The dress was first, but the earrings were a close second.
Girl, I know it. I know it.
I saw, was it a video or a post of you in a red dress backwards?
And I just feel like maybe you started, kind of like Rihanna said,
she started a maternity trend where she was like, I'm not doing maternity.
Maybe backwards is the way to go.
Maybe it is.
It was a total fluke for me.
I just apparently didn't look at the reference image closely enough,
but I walked out with the confidence of someone who chooses to wear her dress backwards.
You know what I'm saying?
There you go.
No, but actually I've heard from other pregnant women that a great maternity hack
is if you have to go to an event, you get a dress that has a train,
and then you wear it backwards, and then the train accommodates for the bump.
See that?
So maybe I heard that, and it just like got in there somehow.
I love that little hack.
Are you having fun in London?
I am having the best time in London.
This is a great time to be here.
Right?
It's like Harry, it was Silverstone, it was Pride.
Then England versus Mexico with an England win at 4 o'clock this morning.
That was crazy.
Unreal.
Then you've got more games this weekend, and then the race.
It's unreal in London right now.
Hello.
And we're moving on.
Goodbye.
Good to see you.
Come on in the chocolate.
Look at that.
It's like we knew.
Come on, bro.
How are you?
Since the beginning.
I'm great.
How are you feeling right now?
You have to be...
We're here in Leicester Square, taking over the entire park for the world premiere of
the Odyssey.
You have to be losing your mind right now.
Yeah, I am living the dream right now.
I cannot believe that I am here.
England won this morning.
Today's been fantastic.
I cannot wait to see the film tonight with an audience, with its IMAX in all its glory,
with Ludwig's music.
I just...
I cannot believe that I am here today as a member of this cast than just someone who
was lucky enough to get a ticket.
I'm going to tell you, I don't know what it is you did in a past life or what kind
of love you show in this life, but you have to wake up some mornings like, man, this is
blessings on blessings on blessings.
And I imagine you are super responsible with that and honor that in every way that you
can.
But I'm curious if you think about that.
Literally every area of my life seems to be doing really well right now.
Yeah, like I said, I'm pinching myself every morning.
I just...
I cannot express how grateful I am for this time in my life.
For what's happening as a professional and what's happening in my personal life as a
young man.
I mean...
I think...
I mean...
Give me a break, bro.
Come on.
I mean...
I know.
Like in the dress, the whole...
God, it's lighting up.
It's like a lamp.
Right.
Like, what?
Come on.
Let's go, girl.
It's so good.
Thank you so much.
Always a pleasure.
Baby, right off the runway.
Are you kidding me?
When you got dressed, you said...
Yeah.
What can we do today?
I'm her.
Athena, baby.
It's me.
How are you?
I'm fantastic.
I'm better now, honestly.
Oh.
How are you feeling today?
You're here on the carpet.
It's the world premiere for this film.
So many people have been talking about it, are excited about it.
How are you feeling right now?
Incredibly lucky.
Incredibly honored.
I get to do this.
I mean, Lupita is there.
Anne Hathaway was there.
Tom's there.
John Leguizamo.
Like, what is going on?
It's crazy.
Matt right here.
You know what I mean?
It's crazy.
So it's just...
I feel so, so lucky.
And just a lot of gratitude, I think.
I'm going to tell you, I don't care what movie it is, what tour you're doing.
Nobody does press tour fashion.
Fashion, period.
Like you.
And when I saw that La was at Schiaparelli this morning, I said, now how the hell...
I said, how the hell...
Hi.
How La gonna get back?
We work quickly.
La said I had to go get the dress.
Okay.
Hand delivered.
Right?
Athena had wings, no?
No, that's right.
Athena had wings, indeed.
You look fantastic.
Tell me about this dress.
What you wanted to feel like?
Was it godly?
Godly?
God-like?
You know, it is very statuesque.
I think there are, you know, a lot of symbolism of Athena in statue form, and I think that
this kind of perfectly represents that.
But it's interesting, because I expected it to be hard, but it's more of like a silicone...
Oh, it's soft.
Kind of, yeah.
Now, how are you dealing with the obvious with the dress?
What do you mean?
You know, the...
Like the fact that it's lit up?
Yup.
That it's lit up.
I'm loving it.
I know, that's right.
I love you so much.
It's so good to see you, truly.
What's up, man?
How you doing?
Very well.
Brother, looking good in this Dior situation.
Thanks.
The glasses, the whole situation.
What did you want to feel like when you got dressed today?
Just trying to survive.
Right?
Trying to sweat it all out.
One step at a time.
Did you watch any of that match, the Mexico versus England last night?
I did.
I watched the first half, and I'm like, I gotta work this morning.
I know.
I'm gonna absolutely be destroyed.
But what an amazing game.
I mean, you were also more responsible than me.
Because I was up all night, and I was trying to celebrate and everything.
I was like, this is the wrong way to do this.
This is the most unfair thing.
I mean, come on.
Okay, I have a question for you.
Because it's like the wedding heard about all around the world.
I know you were likely invited, but had to work here to cover.
I just got told there were giveaways.
There were giveaways and prizes.
What?
I didn't get any prizes.
Right?
I didn't get a consolation prize.
See?
So were you getting the play-by-play from Tuki?
Was she like, okay, babe, here's who just got here.
I'm sitting next to so-and-so.
This is what we're eating.
She didn't tell me anything.
She's like NDA'd up to eternity.
Because you're not gonna get me.
You're not gonna get me.
Brother, okay, what would you tell people about coming to see this movie?
Right?
This is like the biggest movie of the year.
How would you say to get people in the movie theater, in the seats to see it?
I mean, I think it's like the classic story of kind of all Western literature.
But also, I mean, this is the first time I'm ever gonna watch.
I mean, everybody's seen a million movies.
This is the first time you can watch something where it's like an entirely unique thing
that may not even happen ever again.
Like I said, if you're watching an IMAX movie on IMAX, like I'm in it.
And I'm curious what it looks like and feels like.
But I think it's just the best.
It doesn't let anybody down.
It's huge.
I was shaking when it ended.
Truly, shaking.
Tell me, were you on set, and I'll leave you with this,
were you on set when the only visitor who was allowed to visit was Ben Affleck?
Were you there that day?
Nah, where did he go?
Did you know that?
Yeah, apparently in LA.
Probably mad he wasn't in it.
I did not see that.
All right, brother.
Thank you so much, man.
Good to see you, man.
What's up, baby?
Good to see you.
Good to see you, man.
We were causing all kinds of problems at the Junket yesterday.
Absolutely.
Brother, you look sharp.
So do you.
Tell me, this is like, it's almost like you've got a London vibe going on right now.
That's what I was going for, a little London vibe.
So Leicester Square, I used to live right on the other side of Leicester Square in SoHo
when I was a kid.
Casey Affleck and I did a play here 20-something years ago,
and this was our walk to work.
So it's always, you know, I come back here every few years and do a premiere here,
and it's always funny to me because it's like...
I'm from here.
Yeah, this is Leicester Square showing off, but normally...
It's a little different.
But I was like, I'm going to come home, I'm going to do it like in English.
Yeah, you almost got a little Beckham situation going on right now.
But can we talk about a three-piece suit when it's 89 degrees?
I was going to say it, I was going to say it, but you look hot in the good way.
You know what I mean?
I'm about to fall apart.
I'm going to get to the end of this thing.
It'd be dead.
Tear everything off.
Exactly.
Speaking of the Athlex, I heard there was only one guest allowed on set for this,
and Ben showed up in L.A. under the guise of watching Nolan do his thing.
But something tells me he was mad he wasn't in this.
Oh, listen, look, Ben's no dummy.
I mean, look, any actor, it's the easiest phone call in the world to say yes to.
If Chris calls, you're going to say yes, and Ben's no different.
But Ben's obviously an actor and a director, and he was like,
look, is there any chance I can come by?
I just want to watch him work.
And so he came when we were at Universal at the end of the shoot.
We were done, and I don't think Ben knew he was the only visitor.
Literally the only visitor.
Ben and his kids, and he brought his kids.
And Chris could not have been more generous and kind to his kids.
It was really nice.
That's awesome.
Yeah.
That's awesome.
Okay, when you look at some of your scene partners,
I'm looking at Charlize Theron right here.
I mean, are you sometimes, are you pinching yourself about the kind of career?
Don't get me wrong, you are a hardworking man.
But do you pinch yourself sometimes and like, I cannot believe this is my life?
Yeah, that's what I mean about gratitude.
I just felt that from the moment he offered me the part,
his experience was really profoundly wonderful personally for me.
Because to work this hard with so many other people who are working this hard
to do this thing that had never been done,
to do an entire feature in IMAX.
Yeah.
Which is really technically challenging.
Yeah.
And really requires a lot of people rowing in the same direction.
Like all the actors I worked with, the crew, I mean, I just,
there was a really great bond that was created.
And it was a life-changing, life-defining experience.
Experience.
Yeah.
I'm going to tell you, if nothing else, it made every single,
shooting it on IMAX made every single one of those push-ups well worth it.
I hope so.
Every single one.
Because there were a lot.
Thank you, brother.
Great to see you.
You as well, man.
Truly.
You're so funny.
You won't get it right now, but you'll get it.
When you get it, you'll get it.
And would I tell you the most beautiful one?
Yes, the face that launched a thousand ships.
Thank you.
Okay, tell me how you're feeling today.
You look fantastic.
Tell me about the look.
I'm so curious.
Oh, thank you.
This is Christian Powell, and I just loved it because it felt liquid.
And, you know, there's a shimmer to it that reminds me of royalty.
Dripping.
Yes.
And I'm just really happy to be here.
Super excited.
It's a big day.
Yeah.
Finally, an audience gets to see this movie.
Yeah.
And we have something really cool in store for them, so.
I would say so.
Buckle up.
Okay, how did you deal this morning, though, with that Mexico loss to England?
I know you and Tom Hyland had a flag off.
I know.
I was shattered.
I was shattered, you know?
I may have lost a friend or two.
You went hard.
Went hard.
You know?
Yeah.
It was a tough.
But they did their best, you know?
It's okay.
It was a great game.
We'll get it next time.
You also seemed to have a lot of fun at Harry Styles.
I did.
I mean, you were dancing in the aisle.
I'm making the most of this trip.
I hear that.
100%.
So good to see you.
Thank you.
You are the bomb.
What's up, beautiful?
Hi!
How are you?
How have you been?
Nice to see you.
Good to see you as well.
Okay, so I just, I saw a little bit of the conversation with you and Matt.
Yeah.
And I think he said something to you, like, you're going to be happy.
I think you're going to be through the moon.
Oh, wow.
Really?
Yes.
Okay.
When the movie ended, I was shaking.
Don't make that, like, just bring it, be like.
It's all right.
That's it.
It's all right.
You know, I think it's cool.
All right, great.
You look great.
Sound great.
Okay.
Everything's there.
Now I'm excited.
Everything's there.
Right, don't oversell it.
Also, shooting in IMAX, the entire movie in IMAX, is something unreal to even think
about when you're there working with Matt, because it's primarily your scene partner,
really.
Yeah.
Did you have an idea of the scale, of the scope, of how big this thing was going to be?
I mean, yes, just because I did read the script, and it's Christopher Nolan, so you can assume,
you know, he's not going to be, you know, he's not going to, like, slack.
He's going to really try and put all of it in there, and he did.
But it was weirdly, the experience felt very intimate.
Right.
Like, on day two, I looked to Matt, and I said, it really feels like we're shooting
an independent, because the crew is really, like, stripped to the bones, and he likes
to have very few people around, and everything felt very free and flowing.
So, it really didn't feel like this big production.
Right, right.
But the world was...
Massive.
Exactly.
Massive.
Yeah, but he works in a very streamlined, beautiful, organic way.
It's incredible to see.
Like, this is, I think people are going to be blown away in the movie.
I mean, it's fine, but I think they're going to be blown away in the movie theater.
Would you ever tell me about this look tonight?
I've seen some incredible fashion on this carpet.
You never play with a premiere look.
Tell me about this look tonight.
This is head-to-toe Givenchy.
I know, that's right.
Yes.
They made this for me especially, you know.
It's so sweet.
My handbag has my name engraved inside.
How special is that?
Yeah.
I love everybody there.
Thank you.
You look fantastic.
Thank you.
You look fantastic.
When you think about Calypso and your mark on her story, your mark on her emergence in
this movie, what did you want to bring to her?
I feel like maybe just, you know, some complexity around how people have kind of perceived her
through all the years.
I think she was very, kind of considered very binary.
She was either, you know, a nymph or she was a good person or a bad, or a goddess.
Right.
But I thought that she was perplexingly a bit of a discombobulation of all of that.
Some gray area to her.
Yeah.
I think that there was some sadness about her too that I didn't necessarily know that
I was going to portray, but that I started to just feel as we were playing her, the sadness
of being so alone.
When you talk about the sadness, you played it so delicately also.
You know what I mean?
It was a really cool thing to see.
I'm trying to say I'm amazing.
I think I'm trying to downplay it a little bit, but you rocked in this movie.
And considering the section of a much larger story, it's so good.
You're so badass in this.
It's unreal.
Thank you.
Unreal.
And when you told Matt, enough with the lotus.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Stop with the lotus.
Honestly, I'm so addicted.
So do not mess with the lotus.
Don't do it.
Always.
Always good to see you.
