Tennis legends Steffi Groff and Andre Agassi have won just about every tennis title out there.
Between them, 30, 30 Grand Slam titles.
But now they've taken on new titles.
Titles they say are far more important as husband and wife, mother and father.
Part of a dream team off the courts that's taught them the secrets to success in the game that really matters, life of course.
Recently I sat down with them in Las Vegas, found the ultimate love match.
Steffi Groff and Andre Agassi, two giants of tennis.
One quiet and steady, the other rambunctious with a lot to say.
An unlikely pair that turned out to be the perfect match.
In 1988, a German-born tennis player with a fierce forehand won all four Grand Slams and an Olympic gold medal.
During the same era, a rebellious American player sporting a funky hairdo and a famous wife was rocking the tennis scene too.
There wasn't really direct contact really between us.
She would practice from 8 to 10 in the morning and I wouldn't wake up until noon.
I would count maybe twice that we were together and once because we won Wimbledon the same year.
Well, if I won Wimbledon any year, it probably would have been the same year.
From afar, Agassi silently admired Groff's steadiness.
You see the way she goes about her life and you go, wait a second, that's everything I wish I could do in a sense.
Is that what was strong because by your own admission you had some roller coaster time?
You noticed that? I thought I kept that to myself.
After his marriage to Brooke Shields ended, Agassi gathered the courage to ask Groff to practice with him.
I kind of was talking to my coach and why doesn't he want to practice with me?
And he's like, what do you think?
In two years time, the prince and princess of the court married.
Steffi had retired at the top of her game.
I used to watch her hit balls and say, you could play right now and you could go straight back to number this in the world.
And she just would shake her head like one day you'll understand.
Seven years later. And now I understand.
Agassi followed suit.
Today they split their time between their non-profit work and their children, Jaden and Jazz.
How is it having him home more often now?
Oh, it's great. He'll drop off one of the two at the preschool and then we switch in the afternoon.
Please don't tell me you have a minivan.
We had a minivan. Now we have two hybrids.
I asked them to share the secret to their success off the court as partners in marriage and parenthood.
What's that big smile about, Steffi?
I think at times, let's call it like it is, there are just a lot of times in life where it's better to be lucky than to be good.
We're lucky. We really are.
Steffi's always been a lady of few words, but many actions.
I remember very well her private nature from my days as a sports reporter.
I'm just not very comfortable in front of the camera.
That's one of the things where he helps me with just communication and opening up.
Is it true that you have a little board or something and you will put words on it?
I always dreamt one day about having a chalkboard in the kitchen for some reason.
I always thought grocery list, it just seemed cool to me to have a chalkboard in the kitchen.
When she sort of heard me mention it one time.
Now we have three.
She got me this chalkboard because it was important to me.
It was one of the ways that she sort of noticed what's important to me.
In doing so, that chalkboard became her appreciation board.
Every night I just take a moment.
That's all you really have to do in life is stop long enough to see what's there and find it.
She makes that easy.
Every morning I get down to the kitchen and prepare the bottles for the little one.
I'll be able to read something very special for the day.
Sometimes it's just a look.
When you see the way our children even look at her and you see how they count on her,
how they depend on her, how they feel towards her.
That was a message he'd left that very morning.
Thank you for being there for the kids.
Agassi and Groff, two champions who make the perfect team.
We're the same in a lot of important ways and we're opposite in a lot of important ways.
We both like to do things fast.
We go grocery shopping and it's just in and out.
My dramas are different than her dramas.
We're both able to be the other side for that one in those times.
I don't know how you sort of explain or put into words those sort of little miracles that happen every day.
