Today we're going to be looking at the Bitty Big Q BBQ and Camp Grill.
Hello there guys, welcome back to another video. Today we'll be looking at this Bitty Big Q.
Regulars on the main channel, Kent Survival, will have seen this a lot and I've found myself
gravitating towards it as a grill more and more so I thought it's worth showing you because it's
what's going on with this, what is it, where can I get it. So let's have a look at it.
Right so like I said I've been using this more and more in my videos so a lot of you are going
to have seen it quite a lot. Quite a big airplane going over, sorry about that. It comes with this
pouch which you know isn't too tight or anything. It's very durable, Cordura or something and this
is the grill which is obviously a very strange looking grill. First time I saw it I was just
like what is that. So yeah as you can see it is a foldable grill which is very clever. I don't
know what this airplane is but it's so noisy. Right yeah so you can see that that folds up and
is you know quite easily packable. So you unfold it like that, this is the length ways and you
unfold it again and you've got your your full length of the grill. If I turn it like so you've
then got your legs which will click into place like so. So the clever thing here is if you only
want it that high you just do it like that. If you want it very low to the poles you can do it like
that so you've got that flexibility in the legs. Do that one and that one so you get the idea of that.
Just fold them up for a minute. Once you've got the whole grill ready you can then double your
width just by expanding it like so. So you can see you've got quite a big area there. I'll put
that on the screen now. So you go from quite a small package to quite a large package.
This is dishwasher safe which is great because there's lots of little nooks and crannies.
I've used a wire brush on it before. I mean getting it camp clean is quite easy. You do get this handy
tool if you can see that which will allow you to clean off your grill very easily so that's cool.
And when you do clean it you just need to put just a dab of oil on all these joints all these
moving parts. It's one thing I like about this it's another one of them kind of interesting
clever designs from people that do go outdoors. This is Canadian and it's just people you know
solving problems that they find in the wild kind of like with bush blocks and things like that. I
like people who come to their own conclusions their own products from you know their own needs
outdoors so it usually is the sign of a good product. You may have also seen my buddy Simon
Bloke in the woods he uses this a lot as well and it is great for its size as in surface area or
grill area it is lightweight and you don't have them spindly legs which will oftentimes
sink into the ground as well. So I think the best way to show it is to kind of demonstrate it. I've
got a fire going behind me here so I'll set it up and show you what I mean. I'll just drag some of
these coals out a bit. It's been hard getting the fire going today so I am on an angle here on a bit
of a slope so that's nothing to do with the grill. When I first got it there is a little lateral
movement to this grill and that was a little bit of a concern at first but I quickly realized it
wasn't too bad because I've had Dutch ovens on here which are obviously very weighty. So if I get
a kettle on here I've got a few rashers of smoky streaky bacon that I need anyway so
I'll get them on. More often than not you'd probably be using a pan on this anyway
and I happen to have one of my pans here if you just want to see the kind of size there.
Oh that's a good cup of some nice bacon. So hopefully you can see what I mean by this
grill. I do really enjoy it. There is something to be said for simplicity but
you know it's a small item, large grill, large grill surface, just like using it.
Anyway this is a much requested video showing this grill so I can link this whenever anyone
asks now so hopefully that's all the information you need. Biddy Big Q, they also do a few other
accessories and stuff as well so I'll show you one of them and they do a little giveaway as well.
Well this is one of their other accessories. This is a titanium mug with lid and cutlery set.
So we all like a bit of titanium when we're trekking and hiking.
Nice little sack there as well. It's one of the mesh ones as well so that can come in handy for
other things. Let's get the contents out. Yeah these can be handy for numerous things. Get off
this packaging. So I think this is a 450 milliliter cup which is you know perfectly fine. I mean it's
a lot bigger than my little Cooksa. In fact I should have used it today really.
Nice handles. These things are absolutely nothing, they weigh nothing.
Here are some measurements inside there as well if you're doing your freeze-dried meals etc.
Got a nice fitting lid with a little steam hole and a little handle and in yet another finer mesh
bag so also handy. We have, I've got some of these in steel actually similar things, but yeah
there we go. The whole cutlery set which is titanium. Extremely lightweight and if you're
a fan of the channel you know I like real cutlery as opposed to sporks. Yeah it's a nice set.
These obviously nest inside this and that's just another accessory. He sent it to me so I
thought I'd show it and as I have two I'll give one of these away. I'll put the specs on the
screen just just say below I'm in and make it clear that you are in for the competition somehow.
I'm in, I want to be entered, something like that and yeah I'll do a draw on whatever my next review
video is. So thank you very much for watching. I hope you found that interesting. Check out all
the links for the grill and accessories down below and I'll see you on the next one. Goodbye for now.
