The morning arrived under a blanket of fog, with rain falling steadily outside. After bringing home flowers from the farmers market, I added the first few touches of fall to the house and began preparing this season’s garlic harvest for winter. With the sound of rain following me through the day, I made bundles with the cured garlic and dried flowers, lit the candles, and cooked a garlic-inspired dinner of freshly baked bread, roasted chicken, creamy soup with crispy chickpeas, and garlic rice. The rain was still falling when we sat down to an early dinner and enjoyed the harvest together. 🍂🕯️ Thank you for joining me today.
