A WET day out! // Alte EsNos Trail - Esslingen // Trail Tales
10 Video Views·Oct 9, 2022
A bit of a rip down a few of the trails in and around Esslingen with my mate Marty. Taking the opportunity to get some trails in after - what felt like an eternity - of rain...
and dark and muddy and slippy.
If you're going for a drop, you're going pretty damn slow.
Oh jeez, okay.
Oh, I remember this tree.
Me and that tree are very good friends.
Welcome back to Stuttgart.
Well, actually we're riding in Esslingen, which is just a chip and a pat from Stuttgart,
but it also houses some pretty fun little trails.
And so it was a little bit of an urban pedal along the mighty Neckar river,
and soon we were heading off into the forest for a rather wet and muddy day on the bikes.
Now that the sun's popped out a little bit, it's pretty ace.
Yes, I think so.
No, I didn't.
So let's drop the intro, get straight to the first set of trails.
Okay.
Yeah, yeah.
A bit pet, okay.
And dark and muddy and slippy.
What is this, a rollover?
I was like, if you're going for a drop, you're going pretty damn slow.
Oh, this is nice.
Didn't expect that.
Okay, starting to get nice and warm again.
Hopefully the sun pushes through a bit.
Whoa, straight into some sloppy doobs.
Oh God, that's a terrible line choice I made there.
It's a good place.
It's a good place to get it in your ass.
What do you feel like doing?
Okay, then let's eat something.
In the middle of my epic track stand,
how are people supposed to know I can do epic track stands if I stop the camera?
But the big question here is,
what do people that live in places without beer gardens do mid-ride?
How were they able to survive without a delicious food
and amazing beer served at reasonable prices?
It doesn't seem like something that's possible to me anymore.
I mean, why would you want to do trail mix and gels on your ride
when you could smash a tasty Hefeweizen into your face?
Follow that up with a Jägerschnitzel or Käsespätzle
or Sauerbraten or Zwiebelbraten or Liebeknödel or Currywurst.
But the bigger question here is,
how long does that track stand actually go on for?
You know, I would probably still be doing that track stand
if I didn't need to come inside and record this video.
Also, this is quite possibly the best beer ever made.
It's running already?
It's running already.
That's why I said there's no marketing on this channel.
Stop endorsing products!
Alpe's Backe, for when only the best will do.
We don't do that here.
That was a splash I wasn't expecting.
There we go.
I just bottomed out.
Just G'd out massively in that little G out.
Oh wait, there's a whole other section there too.
Oh jeez, okay.
Oh, I remember this tree.
Me and that tree are very good friends.
Yeah, into that tree one.
Yeah, there you go.
Yeah.
Got on the wrong side of that snake.
And now we're going over this.
Oh jeez.
A couple of really puffin' wet logs.
I'll go up here.
Oh jeez.
Oh, I got all out of shape there.
That was fun, actually.
Yeah.
What's happened, Philip?
What happened?
Sorry, I wasn't capable of handling my skis, Marty.
I think you're too fat.
This is a thing I've heard many times in my life.
