Come spend a couple of beautiful days with us in Whistler, BC. 🤍
We stayed with family, explored the area, spent the afternoon at beautiful Lost Lake, and just enjoyed some slower family time surrounded by the mountains and pine trees.
This vlog is a mix of everyday family moments, exploring Whistler with the kids, lake time, trails, and all the little moments in between.
If you enjoy family travel, everyday vlogs, and exploring beautiful places with kids, I’d love to have you along for the rest of our Canada adventures.

Hello everybody, welcome back to my channel. I'm Amanda Bakshi. I'm a mother of two living
in northern California and currently we are in Vancouver, Canada. Although we are about to leave
here shortly for our next stop which is Whistler. We have quite the logistical coordination going on.
We are going to have to do some transferring of luggage, some picking up of grandparents,
some fitting of things, um checking out of hotels, but we're gonna make it happen today.
But first things first, we are going to run over to the store and grab some more
recyclable bags so that we can have some extra things to pack in. All right let's do that and
then we'll be back up to pack up and go pick up our rental car. It's a beautiful day out.
Bags, energy drink. All right it's go time, go, go, go, go.
Come on let's go, go, go, go, go.
Waiting on daddy.
Hi, going to pick up the car.
It's a situation, we're outside Enterprise. Okay I'm gonna go in and try and get a car.
Yeah come on, be a good boy. All right, all right we found it. We were gonna go down and grab the
car but I think it's better if we go grab everything and bring everybody down.
They're trying to load us on the street so we're gonna go grab dad, baby and all the stuff and try
to maneuver ourselves back down that way. We did it, we got to the elevators, finally.
I have no idea, I just followed the exits. Yeah, it's a big car, it's a big car.
You know what, I think it's, I think it's just what we needed. He's like you can have the Mercedes
or and I was like which one's bigger? He's like well the Yukon and I was like that's what I want.
Scan it. Yeah. Oh there you go. You're doing a great job though.
Should I get directions on? Yeah. Okay.
Is there somebody in the loading thing? I'll park on the other side. Okay.
All right. Hey look. Hey look out the window. You see the water baby?
45 more minutes and then we are there. Just a quick stop at McDonald's and yeah.
Yeah, we're in the hood. Whistler hood.
I know it's perfect for Iman. Did you try out that chair? Look, it's a bean bag, look.
There's a wi-fi password.
Oh look, they left us little, come on. Dark chocolate.
Oh yeah. What else? Popcorn.
Soda water.
I have popcorn. Yeah, we have to make it.
Oh, he loves popcorn. Popcorn's his favorite.
And this is for grandma. Yeah, there you go. Everybody gets something. Yeah.
There goes my son listening to me. Yeah. That's what listening looks like. Pretty good.
All right, we just got in. Place is awesome. The whole area is awesome. Yeah. We're walking on the
side of the road right now. That's fine. Tonight we're just going to get some groceries and settle
in. But what do you think of the place? It's beautiful. Yeah, we love it. Everybody approves.
It's a 10-minute walk to the store. Right. We are on the side of the road.
But there are other people walking behind us with the strollers.
So pretty out. We got really nice weather. It said it was gonna be raining, but so far no rain.
Knock on wood. Look who it is. It's the man, the myth, the legend.
Come on back, sheesh. Hi, boo-boos. What's up? Did you sleep good? Yeah. I see you have your
nerds in hand. You holding on to those? You slept good? You weren't scared? Too early. Come back to
me later, okay? Hi, precious. Hi, boo-boos. Is that yours? Don't put your feet in her face, bud.
I'm trying to figure out if this bacon's done. I guess it's done.
I guess so. It doesn't look like it normally looks color-wise.
Oh, yeah. Oh, you want some bacon? Oh, yeah, I've been waiting for something else.
No, be careful.
Careful. Not as agile as you. Yeah.
What? Look, she's reaching for it.
Look, she ate all that, look. And eggs and bread. Eggs too? Yeah. Bread and bacon.
And that films. And then when you want to stop filming, you press the red button again,
and it stops it. And you press the other red button to stop.
Okay, departing for Lost Lake. It's like a nice light rain right now.
Look, there's a lake over there.
Toad underpass. Oh, that's cool.
Big care, babes. The great toad migration. That's so cool.
Yes, it would be so fun to bike around.
Look at this.
Oh, yes, good.
Are you up? Good morning, little girl.
Hello.
Good morning. It is currently day two of our stay here at Whistler, and Amara is laying down for a
nap. So that means that we are going to get ourselves ready, because when she gets up,
we are going to go to Whistler Center. Yesterday, we had a really nice day settling in,
and we took some walks to Lost Lake, which was so gorgeous. Oh, my gosh.
And yeah, now we're feeling like we're ready for a little adventure.
So we're going to take you along with us to our trek up to Whistler Center and explore the area
up there. Hi. I love it.
Are you such a good dancer?
Do you know where the ice cream shop is? Where is it?
The thing is right over there. Oh, what's that? Come on, go inside.
Oh, my goodness. Look at this magic.
Wow. Come on, you don't want anything, right?
I want it. Oh, look, they have ice cream in here, too.
Which one are you going to get? Oh, I think we're just taking a look at the menu.
You want to try that one first and see if you like it?
Let's see. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
He's like, hold on, Mom, give me some of this.
Look at this hot mess. Yeah.
Yeah, he likes it. You know, I'm not much of a passion fruit.
I didn't see you as a passion fruit kind of guy. I'm happy to be corrected.
Yeah. We decided to end our day with one last trip to Lost Lake, and it's so perfect out.
Look at the sun action, though. The lighting is magical.
You almost had it, honey. Like that. Oh, yeah.
I mean, how do you put them on? Almost.
You can do it. Oh, yeah, that's how it works.
And then you're going to try and put it on you? No, on you. Okay.
There's little Amman pants living his best life.
As a biologist, as a marine biologist.
That's more accurate. Hey, Bo. Hey, what's going on over here? What you got? Oh, wow, a river?
That's so cool. Are you helping build the river? He's in his own element. Oh, a tree. I love that
idea. That's cool. Oh, now it's a bridge. Yeah. That's so cool. I love it. Yeah, we made it.
Close the door. I'm going to close the door. Okay, all right. Sorry.
Okay.
Thank you, Mom. Help me.
We're going to have a bite of the pizza. That looks pretty good.
