If you need a bed for guests but don't want something to take up too much space,
a folding and roll-away bed might just be what you're looking for.
These have not only gotten much better over the years, but are also able to support a ton of weight
and have cool features that your regular bed might not have.
So in this video, I'm going over the seven best folding and roll-away beds.
And if you find something you like, I'll leave links to all the folding and roll-away beds
in the description below.
I've also tagged each product throughout the video, so you can check them out.
Number seven is the Ebern Designs.
It comes with a five-inch padded mattress with high-density support foam underneath
and memory foam on top for a little extra cushioning.
The metal slat frame supports up to 660 pounds, and the mattress isn't attached to it.
So when it's time to clean or change the cover, you can lift it off.
And if that new foam smell bothers you, this bed has been tested for harmful chemicals,
so that strong odor shouldn't be much of an issue during the first few nights.
There's no complicated setup either.
It comes with four smooth-rolling casters,
and you can move it wherever you need and lock the wheels in place.
Then, when your guest leaves, just fold it up, fasten the buckle strap, and roll it out of the way.
So, if you need a comfortable guest bed that you can set up quickly
and tuck away just as easily, this one makes a lot of sense.
Number six is the DecoFi.
Its adjustable backrest gives you five positions,
from completely flat all the way up to 85 degrees.
So when you're not using it as a bed, you can raise the back
and use it more like a chair or lounger.
There's also something a little more polished about the design here.
The white finish keeps it looking clean,
while the gently curved legs soften the overall shape and keep the bed from looking too boxy.
Of course, all that visual appeal doesn't come at the expense of support.
The metal frame is rated for up to 400 pounds
and sits on an all-steel mesh base for a stronger foundation.
The rubber guards on the corners also prevent the bed from shifting around
and cut down on noise against the floor.
And once you lock the four wheels, the bed stays right where you put it,
even on slick surfaces like wood, tile, or stone.
And here's what Sean says,
What sold me was how incredibly easy it is to fold and unfold.
It collapses into a flat, compact bundle that fits in the trunk of my sedan,
alongside all our other gear.
The carry handle makes it a cinch to transport with one hand.
Despite being lightweight, only about 15 pounds, the frame is surprisingly sturdy.
I've used it on sandy beaches and grassy fields, without any sinking or tipping.
So, if you don't have much room to spare,
but still want more flexibility from a folding bed, this one has you covered.
Number five is the Alwin Home, and this one is especially easy to keep clean.
The mattress is five inches of memory foam,
wrapped in a breathable cover you can unzip and wash whenever it needs a refresh.
And if you're a restless sleeper who's constantly changing positions,
you'll appreciate the four straps underneath.
They help keep the mattress in place, so you won't have to straighten it out as often.
Now, the frame itself is made from high-strength steel,
with a 450-pound weight capacity to keep things stable.
And down at the legs, rubber protector rings do double duty.
They grip the floor so the bed doesn't shift or slide around while you sleep,
while also protecting your hardwood or tile from scuffs and scratches.
Moving it around is also pretty easy, thanks to the four casters.
They roll in every direction and lock once you've got the bed where you want it.
So, even at 51 pounds, you can take it out or put it away without much effort.
You even get a dust-proof storage bag,
which gives the folded bed a clean place to stay until you need it again.
Number four is the Lucid.
At 38 pounds, you can roll this bed into position,
lock the wheels, and fold it away without needing much help.
The four-inch mattress is a little thinner than some of the other models on this list,
but I wouldn't judge it by thickness alone.
You still get two layers here, along with a breathable cover made from rayon derived from bamboo.
Together, they give you a soft sleeping surface with more airflow,
which is a nice perk if you tend to sleep warm.
For extra durability, the frame is made of alloy steel and supports up to 350 pounds.
But, the real standout is the spring-supported deck.
Instead of the usual wood slats or wire mesh,
the mattress rests on a series of springs that have a little give to them,
which can make the bed feel more comfortable to sleep on,
especially compared with a rigid base.
There's also a surprisingly long warranty behind this one.
Lucid covers it for 10 years,
which is a lot more coverage than most folding beds on the market right now.
Number three is the Latitude Run, and if you're taller than average, pay attention to this one.
At nearly 75 inches long, it gives your legs more space to stretch out,
so your feet are less likely to hang over the edge.
The frame sits 12.6 inches off the floor, a bit higher than some other roll-away beds,
and that extra height makes the area underneath much more useful.
A suitcase, storage bin, or other slim items can fit underneath,
while the added clearance leaves enough space to sweep or vacuum without moving the bed.
Of course, for a bed this long, the center support legs are another feature worth pointing out.
You can put up to 450 pounds on this frame,
and the weight doesn't all have to sit on the two ends.
The extra legs underneath take some of that pressure right through the middle,
which helps the frame stay flatter over time.
They can make the bed quieter too, with less creaking as you move around.
You also get a 5-inch mattress with plenty of cushioning around your shoulders and hips.
But the best part is that you don't have to pay a premium to get all of that.
This one comes at a pretty affordable price.

Number two is the Re-Brilliant.
And the biggest selling point here is the charging station.
It's tucked right into the frame with multiple ports,
so your phone, tablet, or other devices can stay charged beside you.
There's even a side pocket next to it,
so your smaller essentials don't have to end up scattered across the floor.
And here's another feature that sets this bed apart.
A headboard.
Your pillow has solid support behind it,
so it won't slide backward or end up behind the bed every time you turn over.
Once you sit up, it becomes a convenient backrest for reading a book,
watching TV, or just sitting back and relaxing.
For storage, the whole thing folds down and rolls on swivel wheels.
But take a closer look at the proportions.
You get roughly 76 inches of length,
but the bed is only about 29 inches wide,
so you're getting plenty of room to stretch out without taking up much floor space.
That slimmer footprint keeps the room from feeling as crowded,
which can be a real plus in a home office or guest room.
Number one is the Millyard Deluxe Diplomat,
and this one feels surprisingly close to a standard bed.
Part of that comes down to the size,
but it's really the sleeping surface that changes the experience.
At 75 by 38 inches, you get the full twin size width,
so you're not squeezing yourself onto a narrow cot.
Then there's the mattress itself.
It has a nice cushioned feel on top,
but there's enough support underneath to keep you from sinking too deep.
The bamboo-derived cover adds a breathable layer,
and it comes off for washing, so spills and sweat aren't a permanent problem.
And I really like this next part.
You can use either side of the mattress.
One is softer, the other is firmer,
so a quick flip lets you change the feel whenever you want.
Now, here's what Mike says.
I'm very happy with this purchase.
The bed is well-made, sturdy, and surprisingly comfortable.
I'm 5'11 and 200 pounds and feel very comfortable in this bed.
I bought it to use temporarily, but it's so comfortable,
I don't want to go back to my regular bed.
It's also very easy to fold up and move around.
So if you want the feel of a standard bed with the convenience of a rollaway,
this one is worth a look.
And that's all for today.
I hope this list helped you decide on the perfect folding and rollaway bed.
