Hey guys! Today's video is going to be a nice and easy one.
It's going to be three super simple DIY toys that you can make for your kitty cat.
And John has decided to make a little appearance.
Do you look like a cat? Are you a cat? I don't think so.
Yeah, that's a cat. Well done.
Anyway, on with the video.
So, for this first toy, all you're going to need are some scrap materials and a pair of scissors.
Taking a long strip of scrap material, tie together the two ends to make it into a circle.
With the material of your choice, cut out lots and lots of thin strips.
You're probably going to want at least 10 to 12, if not more of them.
The more you have, the more exciting this toy is going to be for your cat.
Once you've cut out the strips, tie them to your original circle of material.
Simply thread the strip through the loop and then tie it in a basic knot.
Continue doing this all the way around until you have tied all the strips of material to your circle.
And you'll end up with a sort of spidery looking toy.
This is a brilliant toy for your cat to play with with their owner or just on their own.
They can chase it around on the floor, they can pounce on it and hunt it and do whatever they like.
Or, like Bertie, they can use it as a pillow.
For the second DIY, you'll want some cardboard tubes, some sellotape, a strip of cardboard and some kitty treats.
Begin by sellotaping all of your cardboard tubes together and make sure they are well secured.
Then take your piece of cardboard and sellotape it to the bottom of your tubes to close up one end of them.
You can cut the cardboard to fit around the tubes more easily if you want to.
Once you've attached the base, just flip the toy back over and sprinkle in your cat's favourite treats.
Lay the toy on its side on a hard surface and watch as your cat tries to figure out how to get its treats out of the tubes.
Once they get the hang of how to work it, they will love playing with it and it can make feeding times a lot more exciting.
For the final DIY, all you're going to need is some string or some wool and a pair of scissors.
Loosely wrap your string around two of your fingers, keeping your fingers apart so as not to accidentally tie them together.
You'll want to use a lot of string for this so keep going until you're happy with the amount.
Then, very slowly and carefully, remove your fingers from the centre of the string without unravelling it.
Now take another long piece of string and tie that around the centre of the bunch to keep it all together,
making sure that the knot you tie is very tight.
Take your scissors and cut through the loops that have been created at either end of the bunch.
Once you've cut through all the loops, fray out the string and you'll have this cute little pom-pom on a string cat toy.
If you wanted to, you could even attach this to a stick to make your very own teaser toy.
This toy is extremely simple but will definitely keep your cat busy for hours.
