This video showcases a penthouse-level listing at Honolulu Tower in Chinatown. The presenters highlight the property's spacious two-bedroom layout, stunning city and ocean views, and the vibrant, walkable lifestyle offered by the surrounding Chinatown neighborhood and the building's high-end amenities.
We are hanging out in Chinatown today to show you Kenny and Derek's brand new listing here
at Honolulu Tower. Come with us to take a look at a penthouse level, two bedroom, one bath,
993 square foot, going to be listed at $450. Sorry, did you say penthouse at $450? Let's go check it
out. It would be crazy of us to come show you this listing and not at least peek into Chinatown
because if you are somebody who is interested in Honolulu Tower, it's probably because you want
this lifestyle. You want that Chinatown, downtown Honolulu vibe. So let's just give you a little
sneak peek of what's in the area. We are on my favorite street in Chinatown, but that's because
I'm a mother of multiple Kamehameha students. So it's all about the lay stands. Now you can also
go, if you're like a diehard airport lay stand person, great, good for you. If you're a Chinatown
lay stand person, then Mauna Kea Street is where it's at. Hawaii lays and flowers. Okay,
not everybody can be Kenji. Not everybody get fresh fish on their own, okay? But if you would
like fresh fish and you aren't like Kenji and you cannot catch your own, like me, Mauna Kea
Marketplace, it's like crazy to me what you can get in there. Pretty much anything. Not only can
you get it in there, but they will also scale, gut, clean your fish, and if you don't even want to go
home and cook, you can take it into Mauna Kea Marketplace, sit down in the restaurant area,
and they'll prep your fish and cook it for you too. Go check it out. We probably won't do that
today even though it's like sounding really good, but speak for yourself. Steamed fish,
you just called out my lunch. The spot that I was going to check out is just a couple blocks behind
us here, The Daily. I've had one of the best veggie burgers I probably have ever had. That was
where when our clients that were showing you this unit for as we list it for sale, that's where we
actually went and had our like congratulatory celebration lunch when they bought the home and
we were handing them the keys. Lots of date night options out here too, guys. My husband and I just
went to Phet. Excellent. Don't sleep on Chinatown, guys. You know, it's cool during the daytime when
you have all of this walkabout activity where you can get fresh fruits, fresh fish, fresh
vegetables, but at nighttime there's actually a really cool evening scene down here and that
didn't always used to be that, but now it's pretty awesome. They do pay attention to street parking
and where you're supposed to be and where you're not supposed to be. Starfruit. Oh, you remember
the video when you're like, what is this? Guava. Can you tell this is guava? Smell it, Kenji.
Oh yeah, that's guava.
They're supposed to be putting a lay fridge in somewhere down in Ewa. That's nice. This ginger
looked good. Smell good too. The best one. Yeah. Welcome to this two bedroom, one bathroom unit
at Honolulu Tower. We're on the penthouse floor. There's 40 floors. We're on the 39th. We've got
993 square feet, big open living room. I was surprised that these things are the seller's
things because it looks like staging. It's giving like elegant. I told Kenny when I walked in, it
feels almost like a Manhattan loft or something. Honolulu Tower can be tricky for some people
because the spaces aren't always symmetrical and we have some different angles that some people
have difficulty with, but the space is huge and I love what this seller did to give you guys an
idea of how you can really maximize the space in this large unit. This is a condo that we're in
and you have all of these large pieces in here that normally you can't really fit into your
condo space. This all fits in here well and nothing looks cramped. Multiple bookshelves.
There's another bookshelf behind Kenji that you probably saw from the other angle. A full wall
here, a gallery wall, a huge TV with a huge console table and this massive deep lowboy couch
and there's still room for the three of us to walk around. It's open to the kitchen.
They've recently replaced the refrigerator. They added a dishwasher. It did not have a dishwasher
when they purchased it. Why don't we take a look towards the bathroom and the two bedrooms? We're
not going to show it to you guys, but full-on storage in here. Guest bedroom here. They have a
three-year-old, so love Spider-Man, but it's a really good space for a room. I think they've
set it up the right way. I could maybe flip the bed around and get a little bit of a view in here.
All of the rooms and living room in both bedrooms have sliders out to Lanai. In the bathrooms,
full-size stackable washer and dryer and more storage space back here as well. They've reglazed
the bathtub and they've redone the tile on the shower wall and they've put a new faucet in and a
new mirror. Done some remodeling. They've painted most of the inside of the interior as well.
Come on into the primary. Continue to focus on storage. They've got a full wall closet here.
Plenty, plenty, plenty of space to tuck the clothes away. But forget all of that. Yeah. Because
this, yeah, this is it. Actually from this bedroom, you can see into Pearl Harbor. You can see ocean
from here as well. So there's ocean, there's Malka, all of the valleys that you can see up here. So
when it does rain and start misting, I'm sure like the rainbows look good. Sunset views on this side.
I mean, the views are great from the living space as well, but I would say that the primary is like
the money shot for views. Floor-to-ceiling windows right behind Kenji that help kind of highlight
those views. Uh, and because we're on penthouse level higher ceilings, um, instead of eight,
eight and a half, it's nine plus. And that just makes everything feel a little bit bigger. Also
have a little element of, um, extra security penthouse level. You have to fob at the elevator,
whereas floors 38 and down, you just push the button and go. It's a 24 hour security building.
It's a very nice staff. They serve well. So you can feel comfortable coming in. Okay. So I know
Kenny mentioned you have exterior access from every room in this house, both bedrooms and the
living space. I mean, you may have exterior. I don't because I can't open this door. It's like
a realtor's nightmare. It's not being able to open doors on lock boxes. Oh, it wasn't even locked.
I was trying to unlock it. Oh my gosh. Exterior access from all three rooms here, which is
awesome. This is cutesy. They have it set up because they have their son. So they have a
little table out here on a bike. I've seen high tops out here at Honolulu tower. I've seen plans.
I have a couple of clients who like sit in their high tops and have their cocktails at night with
Honolulu city lights. I mean, anybody who's looking kind of in the downtown Honolulu Chinatown
area, this is definitely peak of what I want here. High floor, big square footage, secure building
at kind of the edge of Chinatown. So it's easy in and out. I won't oversell it. There will always
be traffic in downtown Honolulu, but as far as access to getting on the freeway to commute
pretty quick from this location here at Honolulu towers. We're a few blocks away from the H1. So
we don't really get a heavy freeway traffic noise, but we really are just a few minutes away
from being able to go right out onto the highway and head West a great city view with sunset. And
this line is actually a really good size. I would actually put a lounge chair out here
and a coffee table and do my morning coffee as well. Maybe you work at the hospital. You
can commute to Queens. You can commute to Kapi'olani in 10 minutes. You look across
there. You can hop on the pulley, get over to the East side really easy. I would say within half an
hour. Yeah. Depending on what time of day you go and we can be on the H1 within 10 minutes. Pearl
Harbor, Hickam, the beach, Kaka'ako, Ala Moana, everything really is within maybe a 10 to 15
minute drive from here. But I think the bigger thing here is that it's super walkable. Now,
there are not a lot of walkable communities on the island and we talk about this all the time.
You're either going to be somewhere in downtown, whether that be Ward, Kaka'ako, Chinatown,
or you're maybe in Kailua town. This place is very walkable. So if you don't have a whole library
like the owner does, they do have a library downstairs at the amenity deck. Great seating,
undercover lounge, and for eating. I like this barbecue setup compared to some of the other
buildings in town where you either have them lined up and it's kind of first come first serve. These
have actual picnic benches and they're sort of semi-private with the tea leaves and greenery
that's separating them. And there's a few around the corner as well. Cool. So if you want to be
closer to the kitchen that's covered over here, and it's not a full kitchen, but it's like sink
and countertop prep space, then these two are going to be great. If you want a little bit of
privacy, this would be my choice. Oh yeah. A pool with plenty of space to lounge, swim, relax, a lot
of spaces to congregate, invite your friends over. There's plenty of street parking out here. A little
bit of guest parking at the building as well. Tell me if you can tell that we're on the corner of
North Baratania and Mauna Kea. No, it's quiet. Trees are mature, grown up. How many times do
you go into a pool area at a condo tower and it's actually being used? Like very rarely. So I tipped
the cap. This is a very usable and friendly, quaint, private, but also plenty of sun and there's access.
If you're throwing a party and you have people coming, they can park on the street where Mahe is
talking about right out here on Mauna Kea and you can let them in with a fob. There's a gate straight
into the pool area. And because I see one over here we didn't mention, this building is pet-friendly.
Yes. Our pet lovers, our pet owners, check this building out. Japanese red ginger, yeah? My hand's
sticky now. Oh, there's a jacuzzi too. I'm sorry, like my luxury purchase when I'm done being like
all over the place and can settle down somewhere, my luxury purchase is going to be a jacuzzi.
Yeah. I love a jacuzzi. I know it's Hawaii and I don't get that cold here, but the way the joints
are set up in my almost 40 years now, jacuzzi is nice. Being closer to 50, I'll say yes, I enjoy
that as well. Thank you. When we go to the pool in Ewa where it's 90 degrees all the time. You're like,
oh you know what, this is good. I go hot tub and then get back in the pool. Again, just a good secure
building because you can let friends in from the street through a gate with a fob. You also have to
fob out of the pool area. And then we'll just check out the lobby. It's not a historical building by
any stretch, but it actually just gives a cool kind of older sophisticated vibe. Lobby down here
coming in from North Baratania. You've got a cool garden manicured sort of roundabout to come in
from that entrance. So you've got lounge space, great space for people to wait while you're coming
down or just to gather here before you go out. I don't know about you, but I love a long couch.
I love a long lounging couch. Yeah, this building must have been like the coolest, swankiest, most
modern thing. They didn't get crazy with the design, so it maintains that charm. It's a classic.
