4 Days Alone At Sea - Boat Camping & Bowfishing Food

Woo! We're out boat camping for the next couple of days. We're going to be spear fishing, deep sea fishing. We're going to catch and cook whatever we can. We're living from the ocean. I cannot believe how good it is already. It's only day one. Start her up, chuck her in gear. First goal, we'll get to that remote island and then we're going to look for lunch and dinner and we're on. Eagle ray, big eagle ray. Sorry, mate. Oh, another one over there. Welcome to the beautiful remote islands. All right, the challenge. I'm just going to give you a quick little rundown of the challenge and what things I'm going to use to hopefully get some food. Day one today, the first thing that I want to use is the underwater bow and arrow. If you guys have been watching the channel, you would have seen me do a few videos of this. It's probably the most challenging one. So, who knows what we're going to get with that. But that's today. Then of course I've got the fishing gear. Just got this medium set up. We have a stick bait on there. And then, whoops. Oh man, I need to slow down. Ooh, I'm so excited. Hopefully if I head out back, I might be able to get something. I'll grab the sticky, do a few yeets around this point here and then keep on moving. There's something big over there, really big. Oh, they're dugongs. Ha ha, hello fellas. Couple of deweys over there. Don't want to bother them. There's a big fish up here though. That's a knacky though, huh? Go down, have a yeet. Watch this, first cast. Yeet! Ooh! Oh! What the hell? Whoa, look at these big eagle rays in here underneath the boat. This is all happening. Holy. Whoa! On! Nah, this is magic, man. Oh, I dropped it, I got another one. Look at those eagle rays, they're huge and there's fish everywhere. Oh, I got a different one, I got double! I got double! I dropped it, I dropped both! Ah, I love boat camping! This one might be dinner on the go. Oh, I'm going to crash the boat. The swell's pushing me in. Oh man, I almost crashed that boat. This guy's a little bit too small, so I'm going to put him back. But what I'm going to do, because this place is absolutely wild right now, as beautiful as it gets, I'm going to hop in with the underwater bow and arrow and see if I can get a perfect size one of them for lunch. I just got to watch out for sharks because a lot of sharks come in just then, so. Drop it down. Oh, there's a big shark there now. All right, here we go. The goal, finding the fish. So that's already done. We've got to shoot the fish. We've got to land it past the sharks. Three goals. Come on, sharks, let's go. I'll take his on. Cheeky fuckers. The sharks are out of control. Swam my back there, felt like something hit me in the back. Bloody, pretty sure a shark just went, doo, straight in my back. I honestly reckon I just got lucky there. For some reason, I couldn't let go of the arrow. And I reckon if I did, I would've just got absolutely obliviated by sharks then. So, just don't want to get my bum bitten this early in the adventure. Gonna pull the anchor up. But I think I have a plan. What I'm thinking, while I'm suited up, just real quick, I'll scout out a bommie or a big ledge. Ooh, fish down there. Bigger, they're bigger. Ooh, tempting. Ooh, look at all the fish. Can you see them? Nah, I got to stay focused. Let's go try and grab a giant lobster or a red rock lobster, something for dinner. We still want to get lunch. And then look how glassy it is out there. Maybe we'll punch out to the deep, deep sea fishing or save it for tomorrow. Or, I don't even know what to do. Let's just see if we can grab a lobby for now. Might've found some bommies then. I've not been here before. It's always very exciting. Look at that. That one looks really good there. Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, yum, yum. Let's get in and have a look. Fingers crossed. I'll bring this in just in case I see something. Check the next bommie. Yeah, I think this will do us tonight. I've just spotted some squid. That is perfect. Oh, look. Oh, they're hungry. Oh no. Wow, the perfect start, huh? Couple of little squidlies. It's one of my goals to go deep sea fishing on this trip. Two of those I'll eat and the other one I'll save to use as bait for something big off the bottom. I am pumped. What we'll do, though, is we've got so much to explore. I'm heading to that point around and beyond. And the further we go, the better it's gonna get. Until, I don't even know, but I'm so excited. Let's go. Yee-hoo. Man, I love it when it's like this because I just don't know what to do. There's so many options. There's whales around. There's just so much going on right now. Gotta go for a quick troll. Just while we're sort of cruising from spot to spot. Just let a bit of line out, cruise along, look for stuff while you're going along and a big monster will grab it. Look how beautiful she bloody is. I almost died. What the hell is this? Woo-hoo. Oh, yeah. Oh, this is a good fish. Oh. Wait, what is that? Is this a mackie? It's big, man. Let's see if I can land it. Oh, ----. Woo-hoo. I am so scared of this. Oh. Look at the teeth. That is a crazy fish. A big barracuda. God. Woo. Off like a rocket. They are not very good eating, really, because we're spoilt for choice. I smell like a big barracuda. I'm gonna keep heading towards the horizon over there. I think it's time to focus on getting something for lunch or dinner. Grab a giant lobster. Wouldn't mind trying to catch some bait, squid, something like that, and punch out deep for this afternoon. Be some deep drops for some monsters. But we're just winging it. Anything can happen. Look how beautiful she bloody is. Look at the size of this thing. Crazy. Whoa. Hello, everyone. Might be worth getting in. Seen a big one go down there. It's like so glassy and still right now that I honestly don't even have to anchor, because I'm not even gonna move. The plan is to punch to that horizon and go to the deep, deep blue, where who knows what's waiting for us out there. It could be anything, man. I gotta get you back. I actually forgot to say, and a few of you might've noticed, but Strata's not actually with me right now. And if you watched the last video, you'll know what happened. So Strata's not with me, and it's felt so weird. It's the first time I've probably properly felt alone out here on a trip. So anyway, long story short, but I just thought I'd tell you that, but... Man, I love deep sea fish. I'm gonna chuck something on the cooker right there that I got earlier. I love it, man. I love it so much. This is it. This is the bait, the squid that I got earlier. The fire's on. Fresh fish about to go in. This is as good as it gets, I swear. Oh, yeah. On a rod on. Oh, straight on. Whoa, rubber fish. It's a barra. Just a little fella. I'll let him go. We got the fish. Oh, I burned the rod. I just burned the tip of the rod. It's over. The fish is just about cooked. Look at that. Oh, this guy right here. Thank you so much. I put him to sleep. I'll show you guys what I just caught, and then we're having a feed, and I cannot believe that. This right here is a cobia, an absolute beautiful fish. It is not a shark, even though it looks like one, and what they do is they hang off big rays, giant sharks, like what I reckon just happened then. I reckon I had a monster from the deep, big grouper, red emperor something, halfway up, bang, smashed by a monster shark, and I reckon then this guy's turned around, gobbled up that bait, and I got him on, and I was so confused, but that is the perfect eating size fish to take home for myself, for Vicky, for Strider Dog, and the cats. I don't need to catch any more than that. That's it. Let's have ourselves a feed. I'm so starving. I'm so happy. Woo! We're gonna have the fish that we caught earlier. This is the permit.
