2027 NFL Mock Draft with TRADES | MASSIVE QB changes?!
Oct 17, 2026
Video Summary
AI GeneratedThis 2027 NFL Mock Draft analysis focuses on a \"best player available\" strategy, prioritizing generational talent over immediate team needs. The simulation covers the entire first round, highlighting key trades, the evaluation of \"unicorn\" prospects, and the strategic balance between securing elite offensive line protection and drafting high-ceiling quarterbacks.
Today, we begin our three-round 2027 NFL Mock Draft with trades.
Just like the NFL Draft, this is split up into two days.
Day one today, round one.
Day two tomorrow, rounds two and three.
Let's jump right in.
Below my face to my board.
It is based on all 22.
It is the order of the players that I love, not in a predictive order.
If you want to see the full list
and every single eval, go to the Patreon.
Five bucks a month, and you get some extended
positional rankings videos when those do come
out, which I'm going to be doing my best
to try to get those out over the next couple
of weeks. So you guys get to end up having a mid-season
and a post-season ranking. Number one
overall, Tennessee Titans, huge caveat here.
We're having Arch Manning and Drew Mestmaker return. I
did it on my two-rounder with no trades this week.
We're going to be doing it once again. It's very
difficult. It puts a whole new stressor on me,
but I think it's a very reasonable one because of the
fact that there are rumors about Arch Manning
and Drew Mestmaker both wanting to go back to school
in the first place. So let's test out the theory.
And if they end up proving us wrong, that makes
the draft class even stronger.
But if we continue taking the easy way out, it makes it not as
realistic. Number one, overall, Jeremiah Smith's the selection here.
Simply put, he is the one
player that you just can't find on a draft to draft basis.
We have seen really strong wide
receivers. We've seen really strong corners
that can rival Leonard Moore. I don't know if we've
seen a wide receiver that can rival Jeremiah Smith
in terms of the skill set and frame he brings he
is a true unicorn and he is continuing to polish
the Titans at the end of the day you're not in
the position you want to be in but building
the best roster doesn't always mean building the best
roster with the picks you have
for this coming year it's building the best roster for the long
haul and i think Jeremiah Smith is an integral part
of that now could you end up trading down
and getting multiple firsts,
and then you can end up getting Jordan Seaton,
Trevor Goosby.
I think that's a very realistic possibility,
but if you have the opportunity to stick and pick
Jeremiah Smith at one, you do it.
I finally hit on an upset of the week.
UNC toppled Pittsburgh,
and I am back to continue my streak.
This week, when we check it out over on Kalshi,
the most egregious difference between what reality is
and what this peer-to-peer market says it is
is the percentage of chance that Ohio State beats Indiana this week.
There's only a 61% chance that Ohio State beats Indiana.
Indiana's been in close games versus Northwestern, Nebraska.
They just have not been as good as what people think they are.
And again, that's the beauty about Kalshi.
It's peer-to-peer marketing.
It's not going to be versus a house like a traditional sportsbook.
So I think it's a great time to take advantage of this opportunity.
If you do put $25 down on this trade and you use the code HMS
or just make it easy click the link
in the description you will get that 25 back added
to your account instantly along with that my friends over
at Kalshi will add an additional
30 so you're getting 55 added to your account instantly
when you make a 25 trade and if Ohio
state beats Indiana this week you'll get the 55
and you'll get 38 and 30 and 66 cents on top of
that quick math because math is kind of boring
that is going to be over 90 in your account now
let's just say Indiana pulls off
the miraculous they end up beating Ohio State you still end up
netting 30 positive so take advantage of it
while you can i'm not sure how long these Kalshi
folks are going to be blessing us with this special promotion make sure
also to take advantage of the
markets because opinions change
and so the numbers are going to change as well make it easy just
click the link get the 55 when you trade 25 number two
the Los Angeles Chargers this is a team that I
don't think is going to be looking
to abandon Justin Herbert I just don't see that as a
reasonable thing to do and the positions I target
for them are probably defensive interior
edge rusher and corner those are the big ones
at the top if you're talking about overall I think
that interior offensive line definitely needs
to be part of the equation 100% one of the next four
picks needs to be an offensive lineman for the interior
but we do need to focus on Khalil Mack
probably not going to be there after this year might
be a trade deadline target the cornerback
room in my opinion could always use upgrades
and you know Leonard Moore is the easy choice here
if we are to stick and pick
because the edge class is pretty damn deep if you do want to trade down
however you do have the opportunity to end up snagging a Colin Simmons
or a Dylan Stewart the
question is who's wanting to pay to move up
the Texans I would say would be one of the more ballsy
teams but I just don't really think that they're
in a position to be able to move up and they also
don't need a corner at the same time
so it's one of the teams where I'd be like oh I could get
exciting with it but there's just right now based
on the current draft order not a team that I think
would have the reason to spend that much
to move up therefore I am going Leonard Moore corner out
of Notre Dame there at number two for a similar reason
as Jeremiah Smith at number one it's a
position that could still be upgraded,
but it is one of those players that's very hard to find
year over year. The Titans still had the ability to trade back
and get someone who could help out
their team and get good return on investment
if they didn't go Jeremiah Smith. I didn't really
see that value there for the Chargers.
I think the Dolphins would have been a good option for
the Titans to trade with. I could have seen even the Texans.
They could have just went and said,
screw it. Marvin Harrison Jr. They just have a crazy receiving core.
I don't think they'd do it,
But you end up looking at Tampa Bay.
They could try to just say we want our marquee guy.
So there's just opportunities that the Titans have that now
because Jeremiah Smith is not
on the board, the Chargers lack.
But they sit stick and pick there
with the second best player in the class.
And I think it's a perfectly reasonable decision to do.
Number three, we have the Miami Dolphins.
And again, if you guys did not watch the first part of the video,
I'm not having Arch Manning
nor Drew Bestermaker as part of this draft class.
So keep that in mind.
Um, and that's, again, maybe we find out more information
and they end up coming out, but
it's much more enjoyable to add players
to a class than subtract them, you know, and
this is the week where I want to test out that theory,
but the Dolphins sitting here,
I would have loved obviously Jeremiah Smith.
That's not the case anymore.
I do think that we could start looking at offensive line
and just looking for a long
term option for a return on investment.
Dylan Stewart needs to get his stuff together.
someone ended up saying the amount of crimes
that Dylan Stewart very well might commit in Miami
would be on another level and I can't lie I can't disagree like he's
a menace but it does look like
maybe South Carolina has the chance
to turn him around he ended up playing versus Florida and it
wasn't really a big thing but he ends up coming out
and playing extraordinarily well and I want
to see him get to that point the Miami Dolphins I believe
are on pace to only have 12 sacks on the
year. That's unacceptable.
So it'd be Colin Simmons, Dylan Stewart as the targets that I
would end up going after here.
I do think Trevor Goosby as well as Jordan Seton are very reasonable
options for the Dolphins as well.
But when you have someone who is extremely unique that you
can't get year over year, you pull the trigger.
And I didn't think that there was going to be
enough reason for me to move back with Miami
when you do have the ability with the right guidance
of Dylan Stewart on a personal level to take someone
who is truly game changing. So Dylan
Stewart, the selection there at number three,
number four for the Houston Texans offensive
lines, the easy target for me.
I'm going to see if there's a team that I would end up trying to
pull the trigger on maybe an edge rusher.
The Saints are ballsy. Here's the thought process.
I'm going to make my life so much harder if I do this,
but to be fair, I don't like what the
New Orleans Saints are like in a position
for at number seven apart from a boundary corner
I do think it's a not it's not a horrible idea
for the Saints to say I'm looking at the Buccaneers
and they're going to be targeting Colin Simmons
I could end up giving up maybe two third round
picks and especially for the Texans that are you know kind
of bleeding dry in terms of draft capital
like it's not a horrible idea for the for the Saints
to be like this is an opportunity to
jump our own division rival not have to deal
with Colin Simmons for the next five to ten years
and on top of that fill our biggest need
and they're a ballsy team that's just that's the
way that they roll like that is a New Orleans Saints thing
to do and i want a big trade they
didn't do it in the past mock draft or the past draft
and i was so excited for them to do it for
um i'm trying to remember i think it was Arvell Reese
was my vision like i was dreaming of it
so the New Orleans Saints are coming in it's a 300 spot difference
so honestly i do think that
it's relatively fair. I think it should cost two thirds.
I would toss in a future third here,
but because I know this isn't going to accept it,
I'm not going to do that. So I'm going to have it
be two thirds this year and next year.
But of course, this thing's only going to calculate it
as one. But the Texans end up pulling off that trade.
The Saints end up making the move up and
they end up drafting Colin Simmons, edge rusher out of Texas.
low cost to move up. Again, you end
up cock blocking your own in division rival
and you end up getting the player that i think would
end up benefiting both you
and your division rival the most number five the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
they could just be trying to be spiteful
and like try to call up on some teams to move up for the
offensive lineman at this point it is again i make
this way harder on myself than i need to
but that's the NFL draft like the NFL draft there's going
to be stuff that we never see coming
and it will end up biting you in the ass like
that's just the truth of the draft now for the
Buccaneers i don't think there's anybody worth moving up for and again
y'all you gotta you gotta
think about things through this lens in order
to have a team trade down you have to have a team
that wants to trade up and if a team wants
to trade up they have to obviously give up something
and that giving up of value needs to be worth moving up
for that player over who they get at
that original spot so I do like Seton I
do like Goosby they're going to be the next two picks
and the question is do I have a team
that would really want to go after it luckily for both
Houston and Arizona the New York Jets have two
really good bookend tackles now the Cleveland
Browns could get ballsy tossing two ones and move up
and go after a tackle I don't think that's a
right decision I think that that's a little bit
of an unnecessary one the Falcons too far out of
range now so also in division I think
that leaves Tampa Bay in a very uncomfortable situation
however I'm going to remediate it
by going after two possible players both on the Georgia Bulldogs
that's going to be at Chris Cole
and it's going to be Ellis Robinson and you're going to say what
the hell would a linebacker do at number five even
though it was that case last year like this past
year number five was a linebacker I think Chris Cole might
be better than Arvell Reese I think
might be better than Sonny Styles Chris Cole has some extra room
to add some weight but he very
well might be four three speed
and he is basically a pure top end edge rusher he's a number three
edge rusher for pretty much everybody
who looks him looks at him come off the edge he's the number
three edge rusher in the class on top
of that he's pretty damn good in coverage too this is one of the
best profiles I've ever seen at linebacker position raw grade he
is above Jordan Seton he's my number
three raw graded player in the entire draft class.
That's how good Chris Cole is. I think he's an
absolute superstar. Now you could talk about Ellis Robinson here too.
He's right there behind
Trevor Goosby and Chris Cole
Both of them are fantastic products. I think the Buccaneers could
absolutely look at the corner core,
but you guys have done a good job on day two of sniping some
very good value in your secondary.
So I'm going to go with my player, the player that I think
would be the best possible option Dylan Stewart I
don't even know will end up as good as Chris Cole
but I do know Dylan Stewart's a little bit more unique than
a hybrid well to be fair Chris Cole
is on another level too
but I think that you're talking about some freak players that you just
cannot find uh and I love it again I have Chris
Cole above Dylan Stewart so that's not for talent
base I mean both of them are like a 10 out of 10
in terms of pure raw talent it's the screws being
loose for Dylan Stewart that that's kind of a factor
but the Arizona Cardinals sitting here at
number six um quarterback
and tackle those are the ways to go now i went qb in my last mock draft
for him early i think cj
Carr absolutely could be the truth for this team with two second round
picks it's such an easy way to go late one draft your qb
and end up getting like a second round
pick out of it you can end up pretty much flopping
for like a late first and a late second like it is
the strategy right that's the strat uh
and if you're if you were to do that let's plan out the
qb's right we end up looking philadelphia technically could
but i don't think they're
going to it's more of a 2028 thing
the browns they're going to so we got one uh we have the
falcons they could i mean number 14 could be a qb
but i think that they're a little bit more in a
position to go after a tackle um then you end up looking
at the steelers i'm not really sold on
that i think that they're not going
to be an organization looking for around one qb then
you're continuing to push along and it's like well i mean
who else right minnesota but you can
jump minnesota with the two twos for the one
and the two right so all that being said you're
essentially going to be looking at QB three in this draft.
And the question is, you have Menza
Chambliss Carr. You're getting one of those three.
I hate to say it. It's a better value to go after
the tackle early. And I know
my Cardinals fans hate going after QB after offensive line. But
I don't know with trades if I'm going
to have legit offensive tackles available in this range.
I just can't fathom it at the level
that I know I could have one of these QBs.
So all that being said,
I'm going back to offensive line and I'm going Trevor Goosby
tackle out of Texas.
And here's the reason why I have Goosby below.
I have below where I have Jordan Seton,
but Goosby, when you look at the profile, very
similar to Paris Johnson, long arms,
mobile experience on both sides of the offensive
line.
I think he's an absolute home run selection
and he fits so well into that right tackle spot.
You bring in a QB after the fact.
He has a more completed offensive line and you're going to be
cooking with some Crisco. Number seven, the Houston Texans.
Quick and easy for me. You traded back.
You're getting Jordan Seton tackle out of LSU.
I think you can kick into guard if you really want
him to. If you do feel like, hey,
I want to have him short term on the inside. I like the flexibility
he brings. The value is there.
You get some extra third round picks out of it and you take the
player that i would have taken at number four
and number eight with the Washington Commanders
they're in an interesting situation
because you do have Cam Coleman, Charlie Becker at this point
that might be the best return on investment
but this corner class is cheeks it's not good like
it really is not good people want
to say it's good don't don't believe them like you have a good top
of the class that could justify in some people's minds
as a good corner class i care about a lot
of depth because the cornerback position is very volatile
so I care about the overall class now
again you got three corners in my opinion
that could be top 10 picks and by the way probably
be the next two picks and will all be selected by pick number 10
so even if I skip out on a corner
I'm still going to be probably taking them there at 9
and 10 that pisses off some Eagles fans but
you know what feathers will be ruffled that's how the game works
but the Commanders I do think
because also the Eagles will be looking at Ellis Robinson
or Ashton Hampton need to pull the trigger
on one and i talked about it in my two rounder
my logic for going Ellis Robinson is a i have him
higher but b more importantly it's all about
matchups i don't see anybody in the division
that i would necessarily say
as the number one would work against Ashton Hampton, would work
better against um Ellis Robinson than Ashton
Hampton, I should say Ashton Hampton's a worse
matchup against or he's worse to match up there we go he's worse
to match up against uh these more
elusive wide receiver ones in your own division I prefer
to have Ellis Robinson on them again I
think he's a better player too he goes
at number eight, number nine for the New York Jets could
have packaged up and you know gone after somebody I I don't really know
who would have been the
option there except Jeremiah Smith
but when you're sitting here at number nine a strong physical
boundary corner will always be valuable.
we're going to go Ashton Hampton, corner out of Clemson
there. At number 10 for the Philadelphia Eagles, good options here.
I think the primary position
of need is on the interior of the offensive line.
However, that's not what you need to take at
number 10 overall. You can look at the edge class.
I don't think the value is here either.
You can look at the safety class.
I have players where technically they value at this range.
that's not a reflection of reality what I value versus what
is actual reality are two different
things now that doesn't mean you can't trade back
and end up getting that value now if I ended up
being a little cheap oh hello if I ended up being a little cheeky
and ended up having let's just say
a Jordan Seaton drop here first off I would draft him
but secondly if the Eagles were really dead
set on going on a safety for example I'd have
the Falcons trade up to the spot to draft them so
just letting you guys in in terms
of like understanding where my mindset is so tight
and as well Jamari Johnson all the screams trade back now
with the Cleveland Browns sitting here
at 13 I don't think offensive tackle is off
the table for him Titus Howard got that three-year
extension but behind him
is really nothing I really felt uncomfortable watching DeJuan Jones
play and it's a big reason in my opinion why he lost
this past week to the Jets so I do think
Atlanta could be a prime position to end up moving up
for a star offensive tackle in Melvin Siani but
it's it's very difficult to end up trading from 14
to 10 for a player that isn't really valued at
the level that I think maybe he should be so who else
is worth moving up for nothing on the interior
again you could talk about Charlie Becker here
and with the Jets you could try to see if they
want to go after a receiver the problem
that I'm running into right now is that the QB's
I don't worry too much about teams taking them,
but you could try to say if Atlanta wants to go for it,
they need to go for it.
The Jets are going to do what they want to do.
There's just not a return on investment here
for any team to move up, in my opinion.
There just really isn't.
You can't find one.
So if Philly needs to stick and pick,
the question is what would they want
to get out of the equation?
And I don't think Kelly Jones would be a good return on investment.
The safety class is solid, but I do think at 41,
I'd rather go after the interior offensive line pieces.
I think there's going to be some good ones there.
I'm going to go after a player that I think
is on the tier of Caleb Downs.
That's hot to say, but I think KJ Bolden is a superstar.
We're going to draft him there at number 10.
It's one where I wanted to trade out.
I just couldn't find a dance partner.
Number 11, the New York Jets are sitting there,
and a quarterback is going to be the right move.
I personally like Trinidad Chambliss the most out
of the quarterbacks remaining and I have
Menza and Chambliss like pretty much neck
and next if you guys want to see you know sitting
there at number 20 versus number 17
but I do think both have their own potential issues Trinidad
sub six foot you know a little bit
on the older side 25 years old in in his rookie year Menza on
the thinner side as well so I do worry about the winners
and then you look at CJ Carr and he's just
super well balanced Austin Simmons as well I think you pull
the trigger on CJ Carr quarterback out of
Notre Dame there's a lot of love for him right now
and I can't blame people who want CJ Carr
to be the first QB off the board he's young he's
balanced he hasn't really been tested this year
but he also is going through multiple different styles
of offense where it was a very running back
focused offense last year this is gonna
be a little bit more on him like it's good to see
how he performs in a very tumultuous environment number 12
for the Jets interior offensive line
is also still part of the equation here I would like
to be open to a move down here and I think
this is a perfect opportunity for the Atlanta Falcons
to move up the Cleveland Browns could
be looking at some offensive line support
the Bengals can look at some offensive line support
I feel like there's just too much going on in order
for me to feel comfortable with the Falcons
sitting there at 14 and possibly getting some
sloppy seconds maybe thirds I mean the Cincinnati
Bengals could get a little ballsy too
but if I'm the Jets I'm not really losing out on anything by
moving down here so I just think that's a smart move
by the Falcons to make a very short range
trade and personally I do think a pick 120 for this range
or like pick 113 this equation is
probably the best route like you can end up trying
to toss in like a six round pick as well just to
make it you know look sexier
but I think it's perfectly reasonable if I'm the Jets I'm just
getting a free pick at this point the Falcons have moved up
and in my opinion you get a right
tackle left tackle hybrid here it's
the most important thing to address on your team it really
is left tackle is not secure
for the long haul Matthews I don't think he has very long and then
you look at the right tackle spot we haven't locked it down
for the long term yet so it's a
huge risk at the moment we're gonna go after Melvin Siani there
at number 12 got to see Melvin
in person at the Red River Showdown Texas OU,
and he looked nearly, if not as good, as Trevor
Goosby. Both of them are phenomenal players,
and Siani last year was playing left tackle for Wake
Forest. It's very, very close,
near and dear to him to be able to play at that level. Number 13
for the Cleveland Browns.
This is just built for Trinidad Chambliss or Austin Simmons. I think
with the fact that I can't tell which one's going to be the Rams.
I believe it was the 13th picks
the Rams and the 17th the Browns
so if you're right on the verge of the playoffs you might try
to roll one more year with um Deshaun Watson
and that'll give me Austin Simmons as the selection
there at 13. Now I gave it a meh honestly in my most recent mock draft
but or mock the mock of
PFFs and probably should have waited
but I do think a team like the Steelers when you do end
up having a quarterback like Austin Simmons there
who's younger and can develop it is a little bit
scary at the risk of losing him
so maybe you would end up saying okay then you go Trinidad Chambliss
but if you want to roll with Deshaun Watson
then you're having Trinidad start at 26 years old so
I do think that when I'm like sitting there
and digesting a little bit more it makes a bit more
sense especially in a QB constrained class to try
to target them a little bit earlier the Jets
sitting there at 14 went Ashton Hampton
and CJ Carr we're going to target defensive interior
here with Will Echols I think well
to be fair I love Will Echols interior offensive line needs
some help. I've got enough criticism from y'all for that.
And honestly, Greg Johnson, super fluid
player. I'll give you guys what you guys are wanting.
We're going to go after some offense
here. CJ Carr gets Greg Johnson interior offensive lineman out
of Minnesota. He has center and
guard flexibility, also has the mobility to play tackle,
but happy to see him there at number 14.
15 for the Cincinnati Bengals.
Corner with Kelly Jones makes sense here. You can also look at the
defensive backs like Kingston Lopa, Tay Johnson,
really big fan of those players. But I do worry
about that left tackle spot. And it's just one where,
especially if you're trying to invest in
Joe Burrow in the long run, it's not one that you play around with.
You do look at the options
available. The Browns did just draft Austin Simmons.
Their next pick is going to be an
offensive tackle. So I just don't,
it might not be an offensive tackle to be fair, but there are
teams that are looking at offensive tackle on the very near horizon.
And there's not many tackles
that, in my opinion, mimic what the Bengals have
as an identity on their offensive line.
And that's power.
Caden Green has power.
If you want to replace Orlando Brown,
you need somebody who mimics that build.
And Caden Green, in my opinion, might not be the most athletic dude.
Tons of experience, day one starter, really damn good player.
Something that is boring, but damn effective.
Number 16 for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
You could look at corner here, honestly.
Kelly Jones is not a bad choice.
Again, the Bengals could have cock-blocked
the Steelers here and gone after Kelly Jones.
And honestly, the Browns could be looking
at Kelly Jones if he's there as well.
If I'm the Steelers, I'm pulling the trigger
on one of the last serviceable corners in
this draft.
We're going to end up pulling the trigger
on Kelly Jones, who's 6'4", 195, good zone
instincts.
Breaks my heart that we didn't pay Joey Porter Jr.
I don't get it personally, but it is what it is.
The Cleveland Browns are sitting here at pick number 17,
and honestly, with Will Echols
available, going BPA is always the right decision.
Austin Simmons is going to be the long-term answer.
Will Echols will provide some support on the interior.
You guys have had some good interior pressure,
but I'm just going BPA because that's what the Browns have been doing,
and they've been doing a damn good job building
a very strong roster with it.
Number 18, we've got the Seattle Seahawks.
I do like the idea of offensive line for this team.
Edge is always a possibility.
Samson Okunlola has just been playing so well at tackle
that I feel disrespectful as hell to put him back at guard.
I can't do that.
I can't do that.
That's disrespectful.
I don't want to be throwing around disrespect here.
I don't think the interior offensive line value
is going to be if we don't have Greg
Johnson for this team.
It would be nice to potentially have gotten Kelly Jones here as well.
Not going to happen.
But if I'm looking and I'm sitting here on Seahawks
and I have the ability to get a deep
possession receiver like Charlie Becker,
I'm pulling the trigger 10 out of 10 times.
Cam Coleman, I love him to death.
I think he's a great receiver.
I was just watching Archie's tape from OU that I saw
in person, but it's different when
obviously you're looking at the coach's tape.
And I think Cam Coleman
and Charlie Becker should never be in the same question.
And it's not because Becker is significantly better.
I don't think he is.
I think it's just because you're it just depends
on what you want out of your receiver.
Like, it's very similar.
It's like, oh, do I want hot dogs or hamburgers?
It's like that's that's close enough to where you can debate it.
But it's like talking about, oh,
I want a veggie bowl or do I want a steak?
like they both have their own advantages
but one is going to be for one type of mood another's
going to be for another type of mood
and the Seahawks in my opinion getting somebody who can
end up essentially replacing a Cooper Kupp is going
to be the vision for me so we're gonna go Charlie
Becker there at number 18 number 19
for the Carolina Panthers boy do you have a fun decision
on your hand Jaden Ball elite running back
um you can end up helping out right away tackle you
could go after Samson Okunlola end up having basically
the one year out after this year with
um well Akwunu already on the way out essentially
then you look at Moten one year he has a out in
his contract which kind of is the whole entire reason you drafted
a tackle in the first round that has
flexibility and then you look at um your current option
at left tackle Rashid Walker and he doesn't
have any contract after this year so it's a possibility
and honestly i don't mind it but i
could try to like scam it a little bit by going after
the Utah left tackle who's a bit older down
the line in the third round I might do that I might have
to pull the trigger on that but I look
at the options here running back it
is pretty damn weak I can't lie I love Kawun Brown he's been hurt
Wayne Knight's five foot six like Fluff Bothwell
will probably go back because he's going to be
with his Pookie Bear and Camario Taylor LJ Martin
is hurt Nate Frazier is hurt Ahmad Hardy has a
bullet hole in his leg it's just like what
the hell's going on man i mean like we're getting to
a very interesting territory where the running back class is kind of ass
so i'm not going to let it
get any worse Jaden Bosman banged up very clearly he's on a snap count
so we're going to pull the
trigger on the player that is harder to find than
a really good tight end in this class vegas at
number 20 um do we still have Will Echols
on the board we don't oh **** the browns the steelers
fan of me came out there uh cam coleman's gonna be the easy pick
though he's a stud receiver he
just added some extra weight
and it's very similar to Marvin Harrison Jr where you're looking at a
player who's trying to become a more versatile x receiver
when in reality they should be still
sticking to their pretty role specific type of X build
and he just should just be himself like
just like MHJ should go to Houston drop some weight pretty easy
to do in Houston in my opinion
like I'm not a huge fan of the city
so no disrespect to the actual people who live in
Houston I just ended up going there I
was in the downtown it it's not necessarily the most
lively place on earth so I'm
not thinking about it like San Antonio the food is just elite you
become fat as hell like me my fat ass ended up putting
on an additional 20 pounds ever since I
moved to Dallas like 30 but that's besides
the point it's just like there's certain things where
these guys need to get a little bit
and they need to be in the right situation to be in the right
shape and honestly Vegas is going to be kind of tough too can't lie
but I really love the idea
of getting Fernando Mendoza a true number one weapon there
in Cam Coleman number 21 for the
Dallas Cowboys honestly could have ended up trying to jump up
and you know finesse a little bit but
if the Cowboys are sitting here at number 21 you taking
a gander at the options available and
And honestly, I like the idea of right tackle for this team.
You look at, I mean, to be fair,
it's pretty difficult to go after an offensive tackle
here.
That's not a pure right.
If it's Malik Scale, you pull the trigger.
In my opinion, you pull the trigger right away.
You don't worry about it at all.
He slides into right tackle.
Don't worry about it.
Samson Okunlola is playing left this year.
The real question is,
do you want to bet on an athlete that is so damn good that he can
end up translating to the right side?
He also has guard experience, so he is someone who has a ton of tenure.
It's just first year at tackle.
You did kind of like Tyler Guyton in that aspect,
but it's tough to try to pull the
trigger on that position corner.
There's no value.
You look at, I mean, how the wide receiver position.
I feel like I've taken the guys that you'd want
to replace George Pickens with for the
long haul.
Now we can try to play the money game down there at number 46.
so if I'm sitting here I'm pulling the trigger
on offensive line Samson Okunlola is 330 pounds
and moves like he's 200 like the dude is a freak athlete
and he's worth investing in like he is
so damn talented for being so young at the tackle position
but he has a lot of experience because
he's played guard before
as well really good player someone easily worth betting on one of
my favorite players in the entire class
and again an organization that values the offensive line
don't think that it's impossible for them to try to continue plugging
and playing on the offensive
line 22 for Denver sorry to make this boring
as hell we all know if Jamari Johnson's here you
pull the trigger on him he's the true joker tight
end flexible he's fast he's really good at blocking
he's just an elite tight end and someone
who I think is going to go earlier when the draft order
ends up being a bit more accurate
the Chicago Bears sitting there at 23 I've been on this uh
Devin Tompkins trained this whole time
and I still am I think he's the best fit for the Chicago Bears
the question is can I try to manufacture some extra value
for him like the Patriots what are
the Patriots going to go after they're going
to probably look at a defensive back here and
Tate Johnson or Kingston Lopa
the Detroit Lions might say I don't want sloppy seconds or you can
have the Buffalo Bills say I don't want
the Patriots to have their choice either way I mean
to be fair Jacksonville
and New York I'd worry about their defensive interiors if I'm Detroit
being able to move up and select
a higher tier option like Tate Johnson versus a developmental
piece in Kingston Lopa who I love
but can't play the run as well that might be worth it because I
know Tate Johnson's going at 24 if I let him get there he's going
to be the selection if I'm Detroit
the minute caught oh to be fair I totally forgot about
the minute cost would be totally worth it
But if I'm the Bears, to be fair, I don't want to reward my division.
So catching myself right there, I was like,
oh, I see a good deal on my hands.
I think Devin Tompkins would end up being
selected by the Giants or the Jags.
I can't, I can't in good faith end up letting him fall past this point.
So Devin Tompkins, defensive interior slash
edge rusher out of Alabama goes at 23.
He has the ability to both fit Dennis
Allen's edge build at 6'5", 260 plus,
and his defensive interior build at about 300 pounds.
so just kind of like find the vision after you get
the great player he's been dominating week
after week like people don't have an answer
for him i think he's a superstar all right new england
patriots i ended up telegraphing it i think tay
johnson's someone that you can't miss on he's a
high floor player you just end up bolstering your secondary
and making it even stronger
tay johnson is the choice there detroit lions i would
not mind some interior offensive line help
for the long haul, but I can't lie,
when you can end up getting Kingston Lopa defensive back out
of Cal here, who's 6'5", 210, and a ball hawk,
you can't say no. He is truly that special, and he is
a top 10 player on my board.
With the New York Giants here at number 26, the options are pretty
mediocre. Like, if I had Devin Tompkins here, I'd pull the trigger.
I really like Xavier Gilliam.
He's a player I ended up going
with in my most recent two-round mock draft, but there
are quarterbacks here.
Trinidad Chambliss falls to this range,
similar to where Dart was selected, funnily enough
team that ended up having Dart,
and this is a pretty good opportunity for a team to move
up and select their future quarterback,
and the one that I think needs to make this ballsy
move is the Arizona Cardinals.
I think this is the right range.
The Vikings are sitting there at 30,
would want to probably add somebody to their system,
And even if they don't,
you still end up having the Dolphins who are lurking there at 34.
You have the Titans who are lurking there at 35.
So there's just too many teams that you have to jump.
And if I'm the Giants, I don't see
defensive interior being a fire sale.
So I'm probably getting the same exact player
for a significantly lower cost.
So, okay, go off Chevron.
So we have a move that's going to cost 170 points.
I don't think so.
who ended up this is some bullshit value here
but we're going to first off okay yeah that is right
i was like hold on where's two seconds we're gonna end up getting
or do we end up doing a
recomp right here look at that value right there two
for two um i think this is a smart decision
by both sides in my opinion uh i'm gonna end up doing
a bolt like this is not actually something
that will be reflective in the trade i just wanted to actually pass
so i'm not tossing the actual
fifth round pick we're going a first
and a second for both of those high seconds for the cardinals
we already got the offensive tackle i like
the value of edge at pick 58 as well and you keep
the same quantity of picks you end up solving
your issues accordingly as well so the cardinals
have moved up to pick number 26 to select their quarterback
and their first pick was an offensive
tackle there in Trevor Goosby we don't have Arch
Manning we don't have Drew Mestemaker in this
class that's what makes it fun what makes it enjoyable
and you look at Menza you look at
Chambliss, I think I end up going after
the a little bit younger player who has a lot more
experience in multiple systems, I'm gonna go Darian
Menza, quarterback out of Miami, um apparently I
gave him a little star, that's cute
but Darian Menza, very polished quarterback, probably gonna
win the, he probably should be in range to win
the Heisman if Jeremiah Smith kind of slows down, but
still Heisman contender, going to probably win
the national championship, he is a phenomenal player
and I really do like the value
that you could have gotten for him here at 26 while just
recomping the pick that you end up getting
from Marvin Harrison, 27 for Jacksonville, another team
that in my opinion probably could end up getting
a lot of good value here, they traded down from
number two I think this is another good spot
to see maybe a quick run on the QB position if we
look at the teams that have already drafted quarterback,
we end up seeing that the Jets
ended up drafting CJ Carr,
and he was the first quarterback that was drafted. The Dolphins could
go after their own quarterback.
The Titans could also try to replace Cam Ward. And so you also look
at the Vikings here. I'm just saying there are teams,
the Chargers, if they wanted to get rid
of Justin Herbert, which not going to be the thing that I do.
You could also end up even tossing in
Some of these teams that from farther
range could end up trying to be ballsy.
Atlanta, for example, I think it's too far for Atlanta, though.
I do like the idea maybe of waiting, but Miami sitting there at 34.
It's not a bad option to bring in Chambliss at this point.
I will say, though, I'm not going to pull the trigger.
I think the Jaguars are the type to say we're going to stick and pick.
If you don't like it, you can kiss our ass.
That's exactly what happened this past year.
And so they're going to go after a freak athlete,
Xavier Gilliam, defensive interior out of
Tennessee.
Just go and watch his highlights for yourself.
He is a joy to watch.
Freak athlete, 305 pounds.
He is a mismatch.
He will probably be a first round pick.
This is a guy who's not being rated
as a first round pick right now, who I feel very, very
confident will end up being in that range.
Number 28 for the Buffalo Bills.
See who's still available.
We still have some really good offensive linemen available.
and honestly the guard spot for the Bills
not a bad one to fill at this point we still obviously
have Chambliss we have Dante Moore in the equation as well
but Dante Moore versus Chambliss it's like
you're talking about complete opposites
so like it just depends on what your vision is um the
Bills could end up going after Reed Harris
as well like i don't mind it i like the linebackers
support there's a lot of good options here
so i ended up of course ******* up the the UI right
there I think we have to go after BPA Caden Peepers
interior offensive lineman out Iowa he's playing
guard has the ability to play some center as well he
is probably the best raw offensive lineman in
the class like if you're taking out positional value could
be the best in the class
so we're going to end up taking him here at 28
which in my opinion pretty damn good deal on top
of that the Baltimore Ravens I would have still
taken Caden Peepers there as well they're investing
a lot in their interior offensive line I think it's
a smart thing to do so I end up disarming
the Baltimore Ravens simultaneously.
So Baltimore sitting here at number 29, I would be open to an
offensive lineman that is going to be high potential.
I just don't really see the one
that I would take here. So defensive interior wise,
you could try to pull the trigger on Amari
Washington. I don't think that's a bad idea.
And in fact, I think that's a position I will go
Amari is just more of that freak talent that you're going to mold
and develop. And in my opinion,
when you look at Jesse Minter,
you can end up seeing a little bit of a Kenneth Grant aspect
to Amari Washington so would like to end up seeing kind
of that Michigan archetype of athletic big
interior to end up working out Vikings sitting here
at number 30 the question is do you go a QB
and if you do get to this point at number 30 overall I
do think it's very realistic for you
to say I'm not going to go and target that spot
but maybe the reason you don't get to the Super Bowl is
because of your QB play like I can't I can't lie
granted Sam Darnold ended up having a similar
conversation and then he ended up not being the selection there
so there is conversations that
will need to be had about the future
because Kyler's been wheeling and dealing but if Kyler's
wheeling and dealing what if you just bring
in Chambliss for a significantly cheaper contract
he's 25 years old he's able to step in day one
and you get to save that money to build the rest
of the roster that's the mindset I'm going
to use Trinidad Chambliss goes at number 30
overall number 31 for the Kansas City Chiefs uh
it's honestly Donte Moore still available too
um I mean again he's had a pretty bad year I
do think that weaponry is important and if we can
end up seeing Ryan Coleman Williams get healthy
you will end up seeing him here at number 31
the difference with him on versus off the field
is unbelievably noticeable and it's something that
you just can't discount now I might be able to trade out of this spot
and still get him but at
the same time we got to find a team that is wanting
to trade up for a particular player as well
Yancey Pierce is a stud edge rusher I'm just thinking
about what would San Fran be looking at and
honestly a wide receiver probably be in there in the cards
because Mike Evans might not be around
forever can end up having Reed Harris be his like understudy
for a year elite by the way I love him
but I mean offensive tackle don't think the value
is there Khalil Benson been doing a great job too
like corner don't think the value is there like
a linebacker like there's just not really that
position except for edge maybe that you'll end up seeing somebody
and be like damn I need to trade
up for that like a lot of people love trade
as Green I think he's one dimensional so I have an
issue there it really is Dante Moore
and then probably like Beyonce Pierre and I just don't
think anybody is that well to be fair now the I mean
the Tennessee Titans need an edge rusher they
went after a uh they went after Jeremiah Smith in the first
and I see the Chargers lurking right
there and the Niners and the Buccaneers
by the way I mean it's it's not a bad idea for the Titans or
the Buccaneers to get a little bit aggressive here what
the Buccaneers do in the first I totally I
literally forgot about what I did I did Chris Cole yeah I'm
not gonna trade up with the Buccaneers
them but i do think the Titans trying to jump
the chargers is a pretty noble thing to do the
the Chiefs end up getting the same player they're going to get anyways
so we're going to have the
titans get aggressive they end up getting
the best player in the class and they're still going to
solve a pretty important need uh 50 spot i'm going
to give a fourth round pick and i feel happy about
it i'll end up tossing in a fifth just to make sure
that the equation ends up like working out
in our favor but i personally don't understand
why you can't force trades but it is what it is
The Titans end up making their move up
to number 31 after drafting Jeremiah Smith, number
one, to draft Yancey Pierre, edge rusher out of Alabama.
I think Yancey is a true first round type of player.
He's a little on the smaller side,
but he's looked even more explosive and he's actually
upgraded his pass rush ability, in my opinion, this year.
I'm glad to see him get the love that he deserves there at 31.
The Niners sitting there at number 32.
I don't think we could end up ignoring the offensive tackle position.
Lance Hurst's a baller.
The thing is, I want someone who can kick into guard short term
and end up having the ability
to be the long term tackle.
I'd prefer to do this a little bit later. So maybe we do have
one more team that's just like, screw it,
I'll trade up to the end of the first.
Like, is there a team that might want
a Dante more like Philly could end up trying to get that
fifth year contract. But I mean,
like Indy could get ball like they get a little ballsy and try to
get their QB. Granted, I honestly don't think that's a bad idea.
If I'm the if I'm the Niners,
I can end up having Lance Hurst and, you know,
you do have the picks that end up moving back up as
well. Like I don't see a team really desperate for a Lance Hurd.
Like I look at him as more of
an interior offensive lineman. I actually love that.
You know what? Indianapolis, they don't
have a first round pick.
They end up having one of the worst trades of all time. And, you know,
for me personally, if I'm going to move from 32 to 42,
it'll probably be the value of a first round
pick or assuming not first round excuse me oh
my goodness a um like a high second or excuse me the
total value will be a late first i'm tripping balls
but the value of the second pick would be
a high third is what i meant to say
so i'm going to end up trying to poach maybe you could talk
about 2028 third in this equation
but to keep things balanced i'll end up doing a 2028 fourth
just because i don't trust the colts
and if i'm the niners i'm still getting the same player
you end up getting some extra draft capital
for that as well to keep your roster under value and
then the Colts you move up here
and you go Dante Moore quarterback out of Oregon to take a shot on
what he once was not what he is what he once
was and we'll see you if that ends up coming to the
fruition but you can think about him in the same role as Daniel Jones
and it makes a lot of sense
I think Dante Moore can play very much like Daniel Jones
and it's a really good fit five years with a
player that already was kind of crowned
as a number two overall pick that has just not lived
up to the hype this year let me know what you
think again tomorrow rounds two and three will
be dropped love you see you later peace
