French left-wing leader Jean-Luc Mélenchon has unveiled his political programme for the 2027 presidential election, promising major changes to France's economic, social, energy, and foreign policies.

Speaking at a rally in Le Bourget, north of Paris, on November 7, Mélenchon criticised NATO and what he described as American wars while presenting an alternative to President Emmanuel Macron's policies.

His France Unbowed (La France Insoumise) programme, titled "L'Avenir en commun" (A Shared Future), outlines a demand-led economic revival focused on higher wages, lower living costs, and increased taxation on wealthy households.
