Dr. Ben Carson and Peter Schweizer discuss the rise of anti-Semitism and ideological indoctrination on U.S. college campuses. They argue that foreign influence, specifically from China and Qatar, and long-term Marxist strategies have compromised academic integrity, stifled free speech, and shifted campus culture toward radicalism.

What's this gentleman doing right here?
Indoctrination and anti-Semitism on college campuses.
Dr. Ben Carson and Government Accountability Institute President Peter.
Schweizer were on Sunday Morning Futures
with host Maria Bartiromo to discuss anti-Semitism
and indoctrination on college campuses across the U.S.
Quote, why can't we stop anti-Semitism in America?
Bartiromo asked.
This has to be going on for quite a long time, Carson said.
The enemy has always known that the best way
to take over America is from within.
Via the indoctrination of our college students, period.
Today, exclusively on Sunday Futures with Maria Bartiromo,
former HUD Secretary Dr. Ben Carson,
and I did not know that he resigned, at real Ben Carson
and Government Accountability Institute President Peter Schweizer,
spoke out about the rise in anti-Semitism on U.S. college campuses.
Let's listen.
Joining me now is former HUD Secretary Dr. Ben Carson and the president
of the Government Accountability Institute, Peter Schweizer.
Dr. Carson, great to have you. Thank you so much for being here.
Dr. Carson, kicking things off with you,
why can't we stop anti-Semitism in America?
Well, you know, a lot of people think that this is of recent origin,
but this has been going on for a long time.
If you go back and look at the congressional record,
January 10, 1963, Congressman Hurlong.
Listed 45 of the goals of communism in America.
One of them was to gain control of our school systems
and teacher unions so you can indoctrinate the kids.
So now we're seeing the fruit of that indoctrination.
The Marxists understand this very well.
That's why Vladimir Lenin said, give me your children to teach
for four years and the seed that I sow will never be uprooted.
And it's so essential that the Trump administration recognize this,
which they clearly do, and act against it.
You know, he's asked all the federal agencies within the next 60 days
to list all the tools that they have to fight anti-Semitism
and to put them into action.
We have to be vigorous in this fight because this is very serious.
Well, one of the issues here, Peter,
is that foreign nations, some of them adversarial,
have sent so much money to American universities.
Tell us about the flow of funds.
Yeah, no, you're exactly right, Maria, and here's the thing,
they require by federal law, the National Education Act,
to disclose large donations from overseas.
The problem is sometimes they simply don't report them,
or they purposely hide them. So, for example, if you are Qatar,
and you want to fund American universities, and you set up a foundation
in Canada, and you send those donations to an American university,
The university lists it as a Canadian donation,
not as a donation from Qatar.
That's in fact what happened with Li Ka-shing,
the Chinese billionaire who is linked to the CCP.
He donates millions to the University of California at Berkeley,
but it's not listed as a Chinese donation,
it's listed as a Canadian donation.
And what we know, Maria,
based on what fundraisers in the university setting will tell you,
is that these four donations are like a
A lot of the American donors have strings attached to those donations.
They don't want just buildings named after them.
They want to influence the curriculum and what our young people
are talking in terms of what Dr. Carson was saying earlier.
That's exactly right.
And isn't it true that there are some universities right now that are
trying to hide the fact that they've gotten so much money from China?
What is China getting in return?
Is this how China has been able to steal all
of that intellectual property over the last several decades?
Yes, it is.
I think there's no question about it.
It's not only technology theft,
it's affecting this atmosphere on campus.
I wrote in my book Red Handed about the situation at Yale.
You have Joe Tsai, the co-founder, the current chairman of Alibaba,
who's donated hundreds of millions of dollars to Yale University.
By the way, those donations are listed as being from Guernsey,
which is a tax shelter off the UK coast.
They're not even listed by Yale as Chinese donations.
And when you talk to people
who are of Uyghur background, who are Tibetan,
they will say that free speech at Yale has been stifled
because the university does not want to offend these powerful,
large Chinese donors.
And that's happening on other campuses as well.
And, Dr. Carson, President Trump knew this in his first term.
That's why they took down that professor.
Who did not disclose what he was sending to Communist China.
Absolutely. He's been talking about this for a long time.
The encouraging thing, Maria,
is that I've been going to a lot of universities recently
and seeing the work of TPUSA.
And the Young Americans Foundation,
a lot of students who used to stand in the corner
and look at their shoes
and were afraid to speak up are now speaking up and are proud
of their conservative roots.
So I think there is real hope.
But all of us have to remember that you cannot
be the land of the free if not the home of
the brave.
Do you believe, Dr. Carson,
that this is all outside agitators that are spreading this
hate on campus?
Is it like this or is it also?
Students that are American and who agree with that kind of sentiment.
Unfortunately, a lot of our own students have been infected.
And they've been taught for a very long time things
that are completely untrue.
What we've done as a society is we've allowed
the academic community to take what's normal
and make it abnormal and take what's abnormal and try to normalize it.
And it's craziness and all we have to do is bring back common sense
which will thwart most of these ideological policies
that are being put forth.
Look, these universities are not entitled to this federal money.
The federal government puts all kinds of restrictions
or requirements on federal contractors.
They certainly, I think legitimately,
are raising these questions and should tie them.
If these institutions want federal research dollars,
they should reform themselves.
And if they don't, they should go
on and conduct themselves the way that they would like to.
A university like Harvard today is basically
a hedge fund with a university attached to it.
They have $53 billion, and if they decide they don't want
to reform in these real, genuine ways,
then good riddance. Let them walk off
and they can fund their own activities entirely.
Dr. Carson, is anti-Semitism any different than discrimination against
the African-American community?
It really isn't. It's the same kind of situation.
And remember, our government did step in at that time also
when there was marked unfairness going on, particularly in the South,
and it made a difference, and it will make a difference now.
So, steady.
It needs to stop. Gentlemen, thank you.
Important conversation.
Dr. Ben Carson and Peter Schweitzer, we so appreciate it.
And, ladies and gentlemen,
we cannot continue to allow U.S. universities and colleges
To indoctrinate our children with all these wacko beliefs.
We've got to take it right to the heart of the problem,
which is the professors at these colleges.
God bless you and yours.
