See to Eric Jones, candidate for the 4th Congressional District, speak at election party

For the rest of the country, there's a lot of news, and the energy is awesome. In California, we like to treat our elections like epics, and then move through the evening in pushes and pulls. But I can say confidently that things are looking good. Tonight is all about friends, family, the support. I mean, look, there are 800,000 people in this district. I feel at this point we may have met every single one of them. And the folks we've met in the past 14 months of campaigning are unreal. The energy and the love that you feel, it represents what this campaign stands for. I door knocked for the campaign for a little under a year since last November. It's in November. Okay, fantastic. It was a great time. I met so many people and I feel like so many voters, they wanted something new and fresh. Eric Jones is 40 years younger than Mike Thompson. I think Eric Jones brings an undeniably bright future, He knows the issues affecting the people of today. And how could you not love him? You know, how could you not love Eric Jones? This country is ready for a new generation of leadership. It's ready for a new way of doing politics. We all appreciate the past. Last time. We haven't been at our best. And we want political leadership that will stand up for corporate America, that will stand up for special interest groups, that will actually represent their district. We've got to get back to old-fashioned American politics. People go to Washington, D.C. to fight for the people in their community. You go to D.C. to fight for your district, fight for your county. I'm going to fight for my family because I've got to. Five-year-old to two-year-old in the future. Thank you. We don't do something when the future is not bright. We've got to go fix it. Tonight shows that. We've got an amazing opportunity to really change our country.
