Thanks for logging on to myfoxhurricane.com. 26 days left
in the hurricane season as we go through the month of November.
We obviously don't see as many tropical systems.
The areas that we're watching this time of the year, though,
it's across the Western Caribbean up into the Western Atlantic over
the Bahamas, basically sitting just to the east of the state.
Reason why typically you're just watching
these old frontal boundaries that push down over the state.
Then they tend to hang out for a couple of days.
Sometimes you see these areas of low pressure developing along
those old frontal boundaries,
and those can sometimes acquire tropical characteristics.
Another area we watch a little bit further out
into the Atlantic, and you'll see why,
because, hey, look at that, about the one area
that we're watching out in the middle of the Atlantic,
sitting to the east of the Bahamas, south of Bermuda.
It's just somewhat of a broad area, a low pressure.
And guess what?
Basically formed along an old frontal boundary,
about a 30% chance of development over the next couple of days,
50% over the next seven days.
Really, we're not looking seven days out.
We're not going to see anything seven days from now.
If we see something, it's more likely than,
say, next two to three days.
We have somewhat of a little bit of a narrower window
to actually see something happen with this.
So you look at the AI.
Computer models,
both the GFS and the European AI versions of these models, and it
is both of these models picking up on this broad area of low pressure,
very slowly moving around over the next, say, two to three days.
But then eventually, it does look like it'll start
to shift more out into the Atlantic.
But basically, we're looking to see,
does it acquire some subtropical characteristics,
which basically is just saying that it's not a purely tropical system.
So if it does, well, we may end up with Tropical Storm
or Subtropical Storm,
I should say, Kyle, as we go through the next several days.
We'll wait and see if we get that name.
Certainly not going to see many more of these names.
November 30th. That's the end of the hurricane season.
We'll keep you updated right here on myfoxhurricane.com.
