Zxmoto’s Debis Eyes Next Year’s Championship | China Tour to Follow Eicma

Valentijn De Wispellast year's ZX Moto officially launched its World Supersport project here at EICMA. One year later, you have taken six wins and nine podiums. Did you expect such a successful first season? For sure, no. The first objective was to finish in the top 15, to score some points, but as soon as I tested the bike, I felt the potential and we went to testing in Spain for six days totally. And at the end of the six days, I said to the team, I think in Phillip Island I can do something. And they look at me and they laugh a bit, but at the end, we went in Phillip Island, make the first row. The races was more difficult, but then we went back testing before Portimao race And after the testing, I felt everything I needed to be fast on the bike, so then we applied the speed in Portimao and got the first two wins, so yeah, it was crazy the speed, we got the evolution along the way, and I want to say a big thanks to Team Evans Ross and ZX Moto, because the job they did to provide me a fast bike was incredible, and I have a lot of respect for this, so yeah, I'm very glad to have made this season. As a rider, I still want... I'm a bit sad that I didn't win the championship because I feel like we could do it but anyway already second is great, it's also my best career finish in a championship so now I'm hungry for more for next year and next year we have a new bike so very exciting. About next year, are you looking forward, what are your goals? Looking forward to winning the championship or what's the goal? Oh for sure it's winning the championship after finishing second. We only can think of this but you know as arenas goes away everybody is like oh now you are here but I know that there is many many riders that are capable of winning and there is a guy from Moto2 that come along in super sports so the competition is going to be very tight and very It's very intense. I'm looking to get the challenge and see what we can do, but for sure I go in the mind of winning the championship. The championship finale will take place in Shanghai next season. How exciting is the prospect of racing at a new circuit and representing ZX Moto in front of their home fans? That's the best thing ever that happened to us because with all of the Chinese fans that grew up I'm going to go out and grow it. this year, I felt like going to China it's the right thing to do and for me it's going to be a very busy weekend but very exciting to be in front of the Chinese fans and being in front of The only sad thing is at the end of the year, so we have to wait a long time before the race happens. Very, very exciting. And now with the team and ZXMoto, we go to China to do some sponsor and also meeting the factory. So, yeah, we're looking forward to do this race.
