The P-51 Mustang, a plane that needs little introduction. For Warbirds Over Scone we had 5 of these magnificent machines, 2 P-51D's and 3 CA-18's, the the license built Australian copy of the P-51D. The Sound of 5 Rolls-Royce Packard Merlin's echoing around was quite something. The tail chase, solo aerobatics and formation aerobatics were all done to a very high quality. The last time this many Mustang's flew together down under was at the Tyabb Airshow in 2003. Hopefully the wait for the next mass Mustang gathering is not as long.
