Indian Navy Rescues 20 Crew From Pirated Fishing Vessel Azini in 48-Hour Arabian Sea Operation | N18

The Indian Navy has successfully rescued all 20 crew members of the pirated fishing vessel Azini following a 48-hour operation in the Arabian Sea, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has announced.
The operation took place more than 3,000 kilometres from Mumbai, highlighting the Indian Navy's ability to conduct long-range maritime security missions across the region. The crew had been aboard the fishing vessel after it was reportedly taken over by pirates.
The successful rescue brings the ordeal of all 20 crew members to an end, with the Navy carrying out the operation in challenging conditions far from India's western coast.
