So we just had some big news that came over the sets
and just announced about Haley Stevens
endorsing Mike Rogers.
That was a big move, I think.
Nobody expected that, but it's a smart thing
to do because El-Sayed would destroy our country.
So I thought that was fantastic.
We have a tremendous crowd.
We're in Iowa.
We have a tremendous crowd.
And then we're going from here, going to Kansas.
We're going to get some people elected today.
I think we've had tremendous impact.
You know, everybody around me, all stars.
We have Marco here, too.
All stars and all great people.
But we're going to get a lot of people elected.
The Press Are you planning to reach out
to Haley Stevens about her election?
The President I'm just...
There's not much to reach out.
Just call her and thank her and say she did the right thing.
Do you think she should be a member of the Republican Party?
I'd love to have her. I think Mike,
if you want to talk, I think Mike talked to her.
Well, I sent her a note, spoke to Haley.
And told her how courageous she was, how much we appreciate that.
She's standing for truth.
Haley's a good person.
She's always been very thoughtful.
She loves her state.
She's served it as best she could.
And she's speaking the truth.
This is a contrast election between common sense and crazy.
And there is no crazier choice on the ballot than El-Sayed
and what he stands for.
And he needs to answer for that.
And I'm sad to tell you, the media has not done
a great job in making him answer for that.
But I believe the people of Michigan.
We're going to make the right choice,
and I think Haley did a heroic and important thing for the country.
Mr. Macron, what did she say back to you?
I've spoken to her,
encouraged her to stay safe and keep speaking the truth,
and I think she's doing that very well.
She ought to be commended for that.
Do you think she's not safe?
Look, I don't know.
We're in a heightened threat environment.
Everybody in politics is, and there are dangerous people out there.
Of course she and her fiancé have been getting a lot of threats.
And they're dangerous.
Yeah, yeah.
They're horrible.
They're jihadists.
He's a jihadist.
He's a Muslim Brotherhood guy.
Yeah, I'd say she's in danger.
I think she was very brave doing it.
And she did it for the people of Michigan.
And I have great respect.
I don't know her.
I've never met her.
But I have great respect for her, I will tell you.
And she put up a great race, you know.
She was supposed to lose by like 25 points.
And she ended up losing by half a point.
She almost won.
In fact, a lot of people thought she won.
So I have a lot of respect for that.
Do you know if he has a security clearance?
I don't know.
What's the nature of his relationship with the woman
who the intelligence officer is looking for?
No, I don't know. I just know that he's an outstanding person.
And I can't imagine it would be a problem,
but we'll certainly find out about it.
How close do you think the race in Kansas is, President?
Say it?
How close do you think the race in Kansas is looking for you?
Well, I don't know. I'm going to Kansas next.
Roger is a fantastic senator, one of the best.
Or I wouldn't be doing this.
I mean, we have to make sure that Ashley gets in here.
And we have to make sure, and governors and everything else too,
but we're really here for Ashley.
We have to get the Senate.
We can't allow the Muslim Brotherhood, you know, forget.
When they have one or two, three votes,
they basically assume control of the party.
The party has to go along with them.
They can blackmail the party and extort the party.
So we have to make sure that Roger gets
in and we have to make sure that Ashley gets in.
And I think we'll do that.
Look, these rallies...
I've been incredible. You know that. I mean,
if you ever wrote the truth about him, I don't know if you do or not,
but there's never nobody's ever seen in the history of midterms.
There's never been anything like this.
We have sold out arenas everywhere. We haven't had an empty seat.
We have tens of thousands of people that can't get in.
So I think there's tremendous energy,
like maybe never, nobody's ever seen.
Certainly not for midterm elections, yeah.
Mr. President, Senator Chris Murphy has had a stroke.
He's in the hospital.
Do you have any reaction to that?
How bad a stroke is it, do you know?
I don't know.
This is recent.
Are you wanting to reach out to him?
Do you have a reaction to that?
Well, at the right time, I would.
Certainly, we don't like to hear a thing like that.
I just heard about it inside.
And he's a pretty young guy, so I was a little surprised to hear it.
No, nobody wants to have that.
So we have the concept
of a very good deal with Canada.
We've been losing money for many years with Canada,
many, many years, 70, 75 years.
So we are now very close to having a deal.
I spoke with the prime minister the other day.
I spoke to him again yesterday.
And we have the concept of a deal that's going
to be great for our farmers, great for our country.
It'll be fine for Canada, too.
Is the Keystone Pipeline a part of this negotiation?
They're going to build, which I think is great.
They're going to build the Keystone Pipeline.
They're going to pay for it.
They're going to pay for all of it.
We're going to give them the route, and it's largely been determined,
but they'll build the Keystone Pipeline.
You might come to think of it,
I have an expert at the Keystone Pipeline.
What do you think?
Well, I think the projects are great projects,
and Canada exports over 4 million barrels of oil to the United States,
and that's a great thing for American farmers, ranchers,
for diesel prices, to keep that Canadian oil flowing down here.
And nobody's done more for ranchers
and farmers in this country than President Trump.
That's why we're going to Iowa and Kansas today.
This is the heartland elected President Trump.
They're going to turn out for him,
and I'm very confident about where the elections
are going to go in the Midwest,
because everybody here,
everybody that's grown up in a rural area like I have,
knows that no one's cared more about them
than President Trump and his policies back that up.
And then, just on energy, the-
And just before I say that,
while Doug said it very well,
one thing we didn't talk about is the fact
that our farmers were paying tremendous tariffs
To send things to Canada, all those tariffs will be gone.
There will be no tariff.
They were paying as much as 400% for milk products and other things.
So part of the agreement
is that our farmers will have to pay no tariffs.
And I hope I remember to mention that in my speech today.
Okay.
That's pretty good.
I'm in the right place.
I'm in the right place.
Being in Iowa, that's a good thing to do.
Will you please remind me to mention that?
The Pentagon released its hold on a number of wind farms,
including one here in Iowa.
Do you have any comments on why they did
that and how that factors into your energy?
We're going to see how it works out.
I'm not a believer in wind.
I think wind is a very expensive form of energy.
We don't need it.
I happen to think it's a very ugly thing
when you have these windmills all over the place that
in three four years they end up rusting
and rotting and he knows too he's an expert
so uh I'm not a big believer in that especially
when we have more oil and gas and now with
Venezuela and actually Greenland too you know Greenland has
a lot of oil and gas and other
things so we have more than any other two countries
in the world combined just just to uh
Show how beautiful it is. It's been finished. It was vandalized badly.
We have cameras all over the place now for the vandals,
but we're going to be holding,
I don't know, we might hold it tomorrow or something.
But it's finished. It looks beautiful.
Hasn't worked since 1922.
It's always leaked terribly and it works really well now.
We had it working well, but it was vandalized.
But we did a temporary opening because we had
to do the pipes. We wanted to be able to get it open for July 4th.
So, we were going to close it, but in the meantime,
they vandalized the hell out of
it, including the grass, the grass surrounding it.
You know what they put?
They put a certain thing that I won't even say,
but we've replaced the grass, the whole
lawn we had to replace.
They burned it out with acid.
Yeah.
Prime Minister Netanyahu yesterday?
Can you tell us anything about that conversation?
No, we just had a very good talk with him.
We had a very good talk.
Okay.
The Press Is that Iran with him?
I didn't
hear
that.
What is meritless?
You mean about Dan Sullivan meritless?
I think it's one of the most.
Thank you
very much,
everybody.
