PM Modi Joins Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Celebrations On Sardar Patel’s 151st Birth Anniversary

Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations at Ekta Nagar, Gujarat, on October 31, 2026, marking the 151st birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. He said Patel united more than 550 princely states and credited him with initiating India’s cultural resurgence by reconstructing the Somnath Temple. Modi said Left-Wing Extremism has been broken, with Naxal-affected districts falling from 126 in 2015 to zero by March 2026. Citing a World Bank report, he said 50 crore Indians exited poverty. He warned against divisive forces and named border security, infiltration and a Secular Civil Code as next priorities.
