7.7 Magnitude Quake Downgraded To A 7.4 September 12th 2025!

We've had another very large earthquake off the peninsula in Russia, where we have a subsiding plate boundary, and we have seven volcanoes that are active. This is currently being called a 7.4 magnitude earthquake, and it came in as a 7 on the DYFI. It's in the middle of nowhere, a 7 on the ShakeMap, tsunami warning, depth 39.5 kilometers. Now, this is a USGS reading. Let's get some more information about this quake. Let's get some detailed information about this quake and see where it takes us. We do have, well, this was on a plate tectonic boundary. This is the Pacific and North American plate boundary, believe it or not, although it doesn't look like it. Let's get some detailed information again on this quake. It's being called a major 7.4 magnitude earthquake, 111 kilometers east of Petropavlovsk. And it looks like that happened about one hour ago. Here's the original release of the original earthquake, a magnitude 7.7 earthquake off the coast of Russia on that plate tectonic boundary, God's number folks, a 7.7. All right, taking a look at earthquake details, they've downgraded it to a 7.4 depth, 39.5 kilometers, and we're looking at 52 reports, we're looking at 118.7 atomic bombs worth of energy released by this one earthquake, wow, that's all I can say, wow. All right, after the downgrade of 7.5, Four magnitude earthquake, same earthquake, just a downgrade, obviously. Some volcanic ridge here, again, seven volcanoes erupting both here on the peninsula and off the coast. All right, comparing earthquake data from the different actual agencies that reported, starting out with the USGS at 7.4, 39 kilometers. Followed by the French 6.85 default depth. You can tell by the asterisks there of 10 kilometers plus the 10 kilometers. The depth of 10 kilometers often means that the depth of the quake could not be determined with sufficient accuracy. Followed by 7.4 from the Incorporated Research Institute on Seismology, 40 kilometers. We're close to that 39 we see up there. Followed by Germany coming in at 7.2, 10 kilometers of depth there. It's a default depth again. All right, let's move along here. We see Australia coming in at a 7.41. Wow, they topped us. 54 kilometers of depth here. We have a 7.3 coming in from, looks like the Italians, at 31 kilometers of depth, a 6.7. Coming in from, well, let me just say, it's Russia. You don't see them coming in much. Russia's coming in with a 6.7 at 41 kilometers of depth. And finally, we have a 7.4 out of the Europeans at 44 kilometers of depth. Now, remember, this was a big earthquake, 118.7 atomic bombs worth of energy released. We have three buoys in event mode here. I've actually looked over the buoys we're not going to waste your time the tsunami created was less than five inches so it's nothing that we're going to worry about and we did look at all the buoys here there was in fact a tsunami created but five inches is not going to take us here nor there so we're going to blow that off And move back up and sum this thing up. All right, we initially had a 7.7 magnitude earthquake come in, downgraded to a 7.4 magnitude earthquake by the USGS. Associated tsunami warning came in as a 7 on the DYFI, a 7 on the Shake map. It was at 39.5 kilometers of depth. They were close to it. Happened on the peninsula or right offshore the peninsula on a plate boundary there. Where Russia has a lot of volcanic activity ongoing.
